I even put in an order when I got home . All of this derived from the recommendations and samples given from the team.

The customer service unparalleled. This provision is when you mix talent with passion. They have the best sugars, spices, olive oils, and vinegars. They go out of their way to let you try new combinations, and accommodate your taste buds preferences .

Wonderful store with a great assortment of spices and oils. The prices are as of 4/18/2021, not too expensive especially given their collection.

We came in here during one of the monthly Deep Ellum Wine Walks and I am really glad this was one of the stops because this place is fantastic. I've been to many other shops like this in California but I must say the spices, blends, olive oils, and vinegars were some of the most unique I've ever seen. And the best part is you can taste anything you like! The highlight for me was the wild mushroom and sage olive oil, which truly tastes exactly like it says. Totally wowed. We ended up going home with the oil, an ounce of House Blend (which we already put on grilled steaks YUM) and an ounce of Korean bulgogi seasoning blend. I will definitely stop back by for more the next time I am downtown.

Who knew you could bottle up nostalgia! I recently moved from SF and I have been longing for the food scene that I left behind. The offerings I have rarely seen outside of the Ferry Building or Marina boutiques but it just so happens there is a foodie here in Deep Ellum that is serious about elevating food. So serious they went all the way to Oakland to become an expert on the specialty oils and vinegar that they sell. They also make their own seasonings that rival my own well kept Cajun spice secrets. Come check them out, try all the different flavored oils, vinegar, and spices. These people know what good food should taste like! My favorite flavors, Thai Lemongrass Mint, Honey Ginger, Aged Basalmic, and pretty much everything else they sell! :) I can't wait to go back and try more samples.

I found Luke on another site with ratings on personal chefs. He had many high ratings so I reached out by email and he quickly responded. We talked over the phone about the party that I was planning, general numbers on size of party (20), what we wanted (courses with wine pairings from my wine library) and when. Luke responded with a sample menu that was pretty much exactly what we did. He was spot on with the suggestions. (Descriptions In attached pictures). Luke and his assistant arrived 3 hours early for prep and were great conversation as we prepared for the party. We changed the order of courses to better fit the wine progression and he was helpful and adaptable. They brought almost everything they needed. Luke used our oven, range, blender and countertop, but otherwise had everything they needed. They also brought plates. We had the wine glasses and disposable silverware. They served the dishes and poured the wine coursing for guests and we did it in casual fashion with people standing and mingling. Every course hit the mark and at least 3 people asked for his information to use him. I will add more details on the individual dishes later, but if you read the descriptions in the pictures know they were each executed very well. After dinner they cleaned all dishes and glasses as well as the kitchen. It was very refreshing late the next morning when we rolled out of the rack to survey the damage. AMAZING EXPERIENCE!!!

We picked their Brazilian menu and it was absolutely incredible!! A few people weren't crazy about tres leches, so we had requested another dessert option- the lemon tart with blueberry mint syrup...and it was AMAZING. Now, on to the service. We had one guest with a couple allergies- all I did was point her out and nothing had to be sent back. They handled it with zero issues. Also, we had a guest who is 9 months pregnant, and she had brought some "Nosecco" so she could enjoy some bubbly without the booze....and Manny was ALWAYS there to refill her glass. She didn't have to lift a finger, and I really noticed and appreciated that. Attention to details is big to me and these guys really checked the box! This was the first time any of us have hired a private chef to cook for us and we were excited to see if we even liked it- and after they left, we were already discussing what to do next year!

That said, I was able to visit one of his pop up brunch locations which was near uptown at a rented location, believe it's called Little House on Routh. Parking was fairly easy and upon entering I was greeted by individuals who appeared to be working with him. This was my first popup and I was solo dolo, so it was nice to have faces/people directing you on where to go. To make it even better, he himself would step away from the kitchen to check on his guests from time to time. Followed up by asking what he can do to make our experiences even BETTER. If that's not great customer service, I don't know what it is. There were two brunch options, I went with the french toast + chicken sausage + potatoes. When choosing my meat, he did give the option of bacon or chicken sausage, which is a great substitute for those who don't eat pork. Not only was the food reasonably priced, mimosas were included in the price as well. I look forward to more events, which I normally learn about via instagram as it is frequently updated w/ events/contests to win food. (@Seasonedbyspiffycatering) I've only been to pop-up but I'm pretty sure he does catering for larger parties, or even more intimate events. Nonetheless, if you're looking for a caterer, you've found him.

Chef BJ does not disappoint when it comes to quality and service. At the pop ups, the meals were extremely well priced for what we ate. One was blackened catfish and grits and the other, chicken and waffles with potatoes. Both times there were complimentary mimosas, which is non-existent in Texas. His staff was very friendly and he made sure to check in on all the guests that came while we were eating. I've also had his jambalaya and Mac and cheese. Everything I've tried by him makes you freeze after that first bite cause it's just that good. All of the flavor combinations are perfect. If you ever need to have food catered for any event, Seasoned by Spiffy is definitely going to do right by you.

I'd say the sushi was so fresh so delicious served so beautiful & friendly staff. . beautiful restaurant, I've been before but did not have their sushi and I am really happy that this was my choice for today.. I tried the lobster roll, which was incredible. Both the lobster roll with fried pieces of lobster serve with it and two dipping sauces. That were incredible separately but amazing when you double dipped and I am definitely a double dipper. I also had salmon NigirI and snow crab Nigiri. Which were both so flavorful so well prepared I wish I would've had more hunger to have another order of each, but unfortunately, the two glasses of iced tea took up that space and I have to say they take your tea. They refill it with ice tea and fresh lemon I am always impressed by that. They have and outdoor seating. I chose to sit at the sushi bar, which was a great plan and I definitely will be doing this again. I suggest you try it and see how much you enjoy. They have Chinese Thai food and Japanese food an incredible Japanese whiskey menu and a lovely wine list.
