I'd say the sushi was so fresh so delicious served so beautiful & friendly staff. . beautiful restaurant, I've been before but did not have their sushi and I am really happy that this was my choice for today.. I tried the lobster roll, which was incredible. Both the lobster roll with fried pieces of lobster serve with it and two dipping sauces. That were incredible separately but amazing when you double dipped and I am definitely a double dipper. I also had salmon NigirI and snow crab Nigiri. Which were both so flavorful so well prepared I wish I would've had more hunger to have another order of each, but unfortunately, the two glasses of iced tea took up that space and I have to say they take your tea. They refill it with ice tea and fresh lemon I am always impressed by that. They have and outdoor seating. I chose to sit at the sushi bar, which was a great plan and I definitely will be doing this again. I suggest you try it and see how much you enjoy. Great find! Downtown for a day at the Dallas Aquarium and needed a late lunch. Checking Yelp for local options,I noticed a place I'd previously bookmarked with Thai in the offerings so,headed that way. Dallas uptown can be frustrating,hectic and discouraging if your not patient. I was,circling the block to find a parking garage plainly marked for the area I was headed to. Your parking is free here with restaurant validation. Walking up to Fung Shui I remembered it from a previous walk in this area when I bookmarked it. Opening the enormous wooden door takes some effort and is indicative of the place you're entering. Well designed,upscale,comfortable. A lot of natural light entering the space gives a feeling of well being and instant relaxation. The menu combins Chinese, Japanese and Thai offerings in the perfect way. The lunch menu has offerings in all 3 and I went for the chefs choice assorted sashimi. Perfect is the only way to describe the fresh, elegantly sliced portions of Sashimi. My lunch partner went Chinese with a shrimp,beef, chicken stir fry. Also perfect. Nice selection of hot teas available and we enjoyed a pot of Chrysanthemum. I was so excited to finally try this place. We had a Galentine's dinner here and the decor and ambiance was amazing. The staff were pleasant and our waiter was pretty good. They brought out our food exceptionally fast, which would have been great, but it took the kitchen/waiter 3 attempts to get my meal right. I ordered the Pad See Ew and was sent out every variation of the meal except for what I ordered. I understand that most Thai pasta meals are similar, but they should know their stuff. My correct meal eventually came out and it was delicious. I got a spicy level 3, which was perfect and made every bite enjoyable. What makes this restaurant stand out is how they honor each cuisine individually--Chinese, Japanese, and Thai--without mixing them together. Each menu has its own authentic flavors and traditions, which makes it feel like three restaurants in one. Everything we tried was delicious, and the service was so thoughtful. I think I've finally found the best Chinese food in Dallas! Did I mention expensive? Grabbed a seat at the bar on a Saturday afternoon--only a handful of diners and was greeted immediately. There were so many things I wanted to try. This is the type of place where you should just sample all you can, but your pockets will be pissed at you! The concept is genius! All of my favorite Asian cuisines--Chinese, Thai, Japanese....you can try all 3 at one restaurant!! The pork dumplings came highly recommended but honey, I will highly NOT recommend that one! The only disappointment of the afternoon. Maybe it was a bad batch but the dumplings and meat mixture inside had a very strange texture, very mushy, bland. I wanted to send it back, but that's just not me. SKIP IT! I added veggies to my crispy beef which was divine. Think of it as panda express' being beef. I wish they would've added bell pepper and maybe some broccoli but all I got were onions. I wasn't mad at that. Still delicious, huge portion. The spicy salmon roll arrived without spice, but it sure was fresh--made right in front of me! I always have to have crispy noodles when eating Chinese, and boy did these hit the spot with the extra yummy dipping sauces! The yuzu lemon drop martini was the star here. Dude, I can't believe I've never been here! I come from California, so I know good restaurants, but this place has really good Asian. The potato stir fry was so good! We stuck with Thai and Chinese for this meal but we were impressed with the flavors and amount of food. I'd personally say this was on the more expensive end for like a beef curry compared to some of our local Thai spots- but we are aware the ambiance and location make it a higher end restaurant- and the portions were super generous which I think also help justify the price! The spicy tuna is well seasoned and has a good sweet taste from the soy sauce and a nice kick from the spicy mayo. Nunchuck - seared salmon tastes amazing. A bit of a kick from the jalapeño. Tempura is crunchy in the middle and tastes good. Happy Family - Good stir fry flavor! Pretty generous portion of proteins with the beef, chicken, scallop, shrimp, etc. Veggies were well cooked and still crispy which I liked. Thai Basil Fried Rice - It had a good Thai basil flavor to it. The rice was a little bit more on the soggy side. I got level three out of five for spiciness and it was pretty medium (not too hot). We got the combination. Shrimp was sizable and protein portions were alright. Green Tea Cheesecake Very creamy and delicious! It's a pretty decent slice size. Crust is also very well put together and has a hint of saltiness which enhances the sweetness of the cheesecake part. Fuji Mountain - very strong alcohol taste with the different rums. Presentation is very cute with the large cup that's mountain shaped, the light up ice, coconut sprinkles, and little fire thing in the center. Tasted pretty good overall! VIBES The place is decorated nicely, with a modernized Asian design. There is representation from Thai, Japanese, and Chinese culture. There is seating from the bar seating to standalone tables booths. SERVICE Service was great! Very personable and friendly. Gave us good recommendations and were patient throughout! I'm really surprised by the high ratings this place has. My food was delivered so I have no opinion the restaurant itself. For the price, the quality of the food was extremely poor. The wonton soup was dark brown and wayyy too salty. It felt like I was drinking a bottle of soy sauce, disgusting. The Mongolian beef was even worse! No flavor, undercooked, gummy and greasy. I always thought fried rice was hard to mess up, welp they managed to do it. Their rice was literally just overcooked eggs and soy sauce, no seasoning whatsoever. $70 down the drain. The ambiance was really nice. It was a group of 3 of us on a Monday night. Relatively empty as expected. The server was nice, she gave a few suggestions on the menu. For the food, it was good, not great. I would get the tower again & try some sushi next time. I thought that the sauce should have been mixed in with the chicken- it was a bit dry. Asian fusion menu at feng shui was extensive - the appetizer sampler was a fun way to get a tasting of lot of different flavors. We ordered the General Tso chicken and loved it. I sat at the bar for my first time dining in. Great atmosphere overall in terms of the interior design and layout. The bar staff was very friendly and attentive. The cocktail selection looked pretty nice although I settled on my favorite Japanese whiskey on ice. I had the ground chicken lettuce wraps for an appetizer and therefore dragon roll for my entree. Both were really good! The fire dragon isn't too spicy I'd say a 4 on a scale of 1-10. I like how the menu is laid out displaying the different types of cuisine. Higher price doesn't always mean better quality. I was so excited to try Feng Shui after seeing many boast about the restaurant during its grand opening. Admittedly, it took me longer than originally planned to actually come in and try it out, but honestly could've kept waiting. The staff was kind, but I didn't get the "upscale dining" feel. While I did not expect a $100 steakhouse style treatment, I do think there's some polishing that could've been done given the ambiance they portray online. Moving along, my husband tried the rosemary peach bourbon smash which I would deem as a 7/10. It was good, but for over $15 is not worth it. Next, the food! This is what I had been WAITING FOR! We tried the shrimp fried rice ($20) & the Tom Kha soup with chicken ($15). Both were good, but personally have had better at a slightly lower price point. The fried rice needed more seasoning and vegetables & the Tom Kha soup needed more depth of flavor and less pieces of chicken fat, As a whole, I wouldn't say prices are outlandish, but for a slightly above market price point, I expected some more attention to detail. read more

It is a bit pricey, but the portion is HUGE so it's definitely worth it. I ate it once and still had leftovers two more times. Feng Shui is a nice addition to uptown. High end Asian dining with a side of great hospitality. I stopped by for lunch with my partner and we had a lovely experience. We started with the salt and pepper tofu and the pork dumplings. The tofu was just slightly breaded which gave it the crispy texture but was still moist on the inside. The sushi was also delicious. The highlight of the afternoon was the cool spice tray they brought out when we asked for some dried chilies. Made the meal super tasty and flavorful. A new gem in Dallas. We came here on a weeknight and it wasn't busy. We were seated immediately, and our server was very pleasant. I like the way the menu is organized- it's clear which pages relate to which cultures. They have some classic favorites from each culture (e.g, pad Thai) plus more. We ordered the pad khee mao, and it was so good! On par with the better Thai places I've been to. We also got some Szechuan beef, which was really good as well, though it was unfortunately not very spicy like I expected it to be. A person who I presume was the owner came to check on us and offered us a small complementary refreshing "dessert" dish, which was a very thoughtful touch. The prices are very reasonable for what feels like an upscale dining experience. I'm in the area often, and I'll surely be coming back to try more of the food here. Highly recommend! read more

My friend and I arrived for dinner and were immediately greeted by the staff. We sat down and started ordering various appetizers for the table - crab rangoon, pan fried house made dumplings, and imperial spring rolls with shrimp. I also ordered the hot and sour soup to try. I thoroughly loved the hot and sour soup and pan fried dumplings but didn't care much for the spring rolls or crab rangoon. We did order the fuji mountain to drink (for 2) and it came out fiery. The drink was nice if you enjoy rum! I also ordered a pear lychee martini and it was good. For dinner, I ordered the happy family and it comes loaded with meats, vegetables, and tossed in a brown sauce! I opted for steamed rice as the side - I really liked this dish. My friend ordered the pad thai with chicken but it was overly sour. They do bring out various spicy items to add to your dishes so you can customize the spiciness of it - felt that was a nice touch. We wanted to order mango sticky rice for dessert but it's not available just yet so that was a let down. The customer service was amazing and our waiter was attentive. You're able to self park in the parking garage and have the restaurant validate for free parking. The restaurant is designed nicely with various aspects of Japan, China, and Thailand throughout.
