Been dreaming about making a trip to shop at Infused oils and vinegars...and I finally made it yesterday. I was super excited about all my purchases! We purchased the dark cherry balsamic, white peach balsamic & the gorgeous olive-wood hand salad tossers. My favorite vinegar is the cherry balsamic. Deliciousness! I made a yummy salad with dried cherries, salad greens, crumbled goat cheese, red onions and a tasty vinaigrette made with the cherry the balsamic. The cherry balsamic made the salad which complemented my Coq Au Vin, which made for awesome date night on the patio. Thank you Infused. Can't wait to meet the owner Michelle!!!

I am just not dipping my toes into the infused oils world with cooking and I was really impressed with this store. I looked at a few bottles online but they would be shipped from California. I didn't want to wait or spend a lot of money on a flavor I may not like. I googled flavored oils near me and was so excited to find this gem of a store! I believe the lady who helped me was named Debbie, but I could be wrong. She was so sweet and full of information, let me try so many infused vinegars, and was so patient with me and looking around and trying a variety of flavors. I love that I can bring my bottles back and get a 20% discount - that's a nice discount and incorporates recycling - which I love! I will definitely be back!

Love the oils but not crazy about their refill policy. I visited an Oil store in Duck, NC and made a purchase of a Tuscan herb oil. I visited this store in hopes that they could refill my bottle. The girl politely told my that they could only refill their bottles. Ok fine. I purchased 2 oils. When I ran out of both I went back and refilled my herb oil, but wanted a spicier oil than the one I purchased here previously. I was told that I could only refill with the exact oil I purchased before. It's very unfortunate because I wanted to try a new oil but would have to buy a new bottle in order to do so. I don't like my kitchen cluttered with alot of containers and could see space being an issue if I want to try more. I am taking this policy to say that if I want to try every oil in their store I have to buy a new bottle everytime. Does this also mean that if the oil name sticker wears off the bottle that I can't refill that bottle any more. Really disappointed because I like their oils but again it's their policy and if I don't care for it then I have to locate a new store to purchase my oils.

Chef Zach provided us a wealth of knowledge on the different types of cocoa (dutch, natural), how to know what's happening with your ganache, how the proportions of liquid to chocolate impact it, infusion of flavors, talked about how best to incorporate ingredients depending on the way in which you choose to do so (by hand, mixer, or food processor) - just a pleasure to learn from and talk to! I'm the baker in the house (although my husband makes amazing souffle's) and I walked away with tips and and tricks that I will definitely be using in the future! I loved seeing and using some of the tools that I didn't even know existed but will definitely be purchasing for my own baking. It was an amazing evening and we look forward to doing another class in the future!

Chef Zach was an absolute gem. :) We parked, walked up to the door, and he opened the front door without us having to knock. He had his entire kitchen prepared for us so that all we had to do was whisk or pour or laugh at his jokes. We made white chocolate mousse with a strawberry sauce. It was absolutely delicious, and he made the entire class effortless. Taught us a lot about chocolate along the way and imparted great advice for an easier time with remaking it. Had a serving each while there, and he sweetly (;)) boxed up our extra servings to-go. Definitely recommend doing his chocolate class! It was a fun date, and the white chocolate mousse just melted in our mouths haha.

Everything was explained really well, and the instructors made the experience fun and easy to follow, even for someone who isn't a professional cook. We made our own dressing for the arugula salad, and when I tell you it was amazing, I thought about that salad for days afterward. It was honestly one of my favorite parts of the class. I had never had gnocchi before, and it was really, really good. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. We also learned some great tips for preparing steak that I wasn't aware of, and I've already started using them at home. Overall, it was a great experience. The class was informative, hands-on, and enjoyable from start to finish. I would definitely recommend it to others, and I plan on coming back to try the knife skills class and probably a few other classes as well.

Chef Kate led us on a wonderful 2 hour culinary adventure making roasted chicken, kale salad, a Lemon tart, marinated artichokes, and a delicious aioli. The chicken had a golden brown skin, cooked perfectly. Tasty and crispy. The kale salad had a great flavor thanks to the nice dressing that you make. The lemon tart is made first due to the amount of work and steps involved. It is a nice treat to go with the meal. The artichokes are delicious and you add some of the aioli you make and it is so tasty. Probably my favorite part. You do the cooking yourself but Chef Kate guided us from beginning to end. Happily answering all questions. She made everything so easy and instructed us the whole time.. After you take a class you get $10 off another class and 10% off a purchase in the store. You also get the recipes emailed to you.

The Cookery is a great date night / group activity spot if you're looking for something fun,…read moreinteractive, and just different enough to make you feel like you have plans. I came for the sushi-making class, and overall, it was a really good time. The setup was smooth, the atmosphere was lively, and the whole experience felt more like a social night out with a little culinary cosplay which honestly, has its place. They also offered wine and sake pairings, and you can BYOB, which definitely helps keep the vibe festive. That said... if you're hoping to leave with the confidence to open your own omakase counter in a strip mall, this is not that. A lot of the components were pre-made or prepped ahead of time, and there wasn't a ton of actual teaching around technique, ingredients, or the food itself. So while you do "make sushi," it's less MasterClass and more cute, hands-on dinner activity. But honestly? That's not necessarily a bad thing. Not every class needs to end with a knife skills certification and a spiritual relationship with sushi rice. Bottom line: Come here if you want a fun, low-pressure experience for a date night, girls' night, or team outing. Just set expectations correctly: this is more about the experience than becoming the next IronChef.

Case in point: many years ago I made a lamb cake for Easter. Growing up, my grandmother had always made one and I thought it would be fun to try. My young adult children at the time, named my creation a "Rat Cake." I can see how they might have come up with that. I used chocolate sprinkles as whiskers and now that I think about it, I don't think a lamb even has whiskers! :-) For the past couple of years I have gone to Cake Carousel for help in picking up the needed supplies to make a decent looking Easter lamb cake. My result has not been laughed at so, I'll take that as a win! Their tub of whipped buttercream is perfect! Not too sweet, reasonably priced and it spreads on great. They have precious candy flowers that instantly elevate your cake. The grandkids even had fun helping me decorate! I love this tradition that I'm able to carry on with my own grandkids, just as the happy memories I have with my grandmother so many years ago. Cake Carousel makes it happen!
