This might be the best-kept coffee secret in Lincoln! I finally got the chance to visit today, and the drinks were absolutely out of this world. A lot of coffee shops can start to feel the same when it comes to flavors, but not this place. Every drink has its own unique taste and truly lives up to its name. The ladies were incredibly friendly and helpful, taking the time to recommend the perfect drink based on my preferences, and they absolutely nailed it! I'll definitely be back tomorrow. If I lived in Lincoln, they would probably have all my money! This is easily one of the top coffee shops in the state, not just in the city. Highly recommend checking it out! read more

Did I drive 30 minutes to try coffee from here? Yes. Was it worth the drive? Also, yes. In ordered an iced medium size salted caramel devotion. It was SO yummy!! If you love strong and sweet coffee, come here!! I discovered 1893 thanks to social media and word of mouth. I knew the coffee was great because after the first sip, I started drinking it like water. So good, smooth, and strong! 1893 has easily landed in my top 3 coffee spots in Lincoln. I can't comment too much on the ambiance because I used the drive through. They have a menu outside, but currently (February 2026) the speaker isn't working. Customers have to order at the window. However, it wasn't a big deal. My drink was ready in less than 5 minutes. Employees were very friendly and made my drink perfectly. I'd love to come back and enjoy the inside of their space. It looked cute, cozy and quaint inside. The best coffee in Lincoln!!! I do have a critique unfortunately, there is only 5 parking spots. It's nearly impossible to be able to go inside to study, meet with a friend, or simply because you don't want to drive through. I'm pretty sure there is no nearby parking either. Popped in and out quickly while in town doing research for a podcast (Camp Mindawinia). This place makes the cut for the list I was compiling! The coffee is strong and bold flavored, they were able to make a specialty drink at my request (apple caramel latte), it was so delicious! 10/10, the best coffee I've had in Nebraska! My fiancé had an energy drink called ocean something or other, and said they nailed the flavor combo, also a 10/10. The place is cute and modern, very comfortable seating, and they have a conference room. The baristas were friendly and helpful with my special request too! This place was GREAT. My brother took me here before we hit our road trip. I got just the standard large vanilla latte. Held to my standard. Yummy! Then what made it even better was the breakfast sausage croissant. The croissant was so yummy! Service: the food took awhile which i did not mind, because longer the wait i hope the food would be amazing as time build up. Goodness, only hop in line if you have at least 20 minutes to spare. Because both times I've gone in the drive thru, it's taken that amount of time. I wish I was joking but I'm not, 3 cars ahead of me... took 20 minutes. As a good service worker & former barista, this cannot be the standard if you wish to sustain your business long term. This is one of my top 5 coffee shops. I love the atmosphere, the drinks but most of all the employees. I've become a regular and I don't remember the last time I actually had to tell them my order but while my drink is being made whoever is at the window or counter is having a conversation with me. Sat in the drive through at their window for a while around 7:05-7:10am on a Tuesday. Got completely ignored by both baristas. Their coffee is good but not good enough to be ignored at the window. Also their phones don't work. read more

Haven't actually had the coffee because it's too expensive but I did buy 2 large oat milk lattes over 2 different days for my daughter in law at $7.09/coffee. My bank statement says they charged me $8.09/coffee. So they are either overcharging their already overpriced coffee or tipping themselves without asking me-big big foul! So if you like paying a lot of money but didn't plan on tipping you might want to look at your receipt to see if you did anyway. read more

The coffee here has a weird, almost burnt taste to it. The service is extremely slow (I've spent over 20 minutes waiting in line more times than I care to admit). The ordering window speaker hasn't worked since the day they've opened. The interior has nothing special to speak of, it's the same general millennial aesthetic you see everywhere.
