This place is very popular in Lincoln, Nebraska because of their long history and the shops are conveniently located everywhere. The cappuccino in my opinion, wasn't wonderful. I ordered a mocha half calf. It was drinkable if you just want caffeine. The café had a lot of seating and some shopping. Something unusual to me was a selection of different kinds of chocolate covered items that you could buy in measurement. Not prepackaged. The location we visited was in Haymarket District downtown. It's been there 45 years. They're baked goods are made downstairs I was told. I tried the coffee cake, which was excellent, but I did not care for the chocolate croissant. It was very tough and very little chocolate. I did like the outside terrace seating which faced the main street of the Haymarket district. It was shaded and very nice breeze went through there on a hot day. I love the experience of the shop and the terrace, but if I'm looking for good the flavor of coffee, I would probably go somewhere else. read more

We stayed at the hotel across the street and saw this place when we had gone out the night before to eat, so we had to stop the next morning! The muffin was really good, nice and thick while still being fluffy and soft. I had a dirty chai and it was very hot, so I'll have to remember that for next time! Cute coffee shop in the Haymarket. I think the same Mill as is in Omaha! Came early one morning on a Thursday and they were pretty busy, that's always a good sign. I had great service, and I like that they take your order and make your drink before helping the next customer. It seems to help things flow more smoothly. My oat milk cortado was good, my husband got a dirty chai and it was an interesting flavor. Not had, but lacked some of the chai spice flavor. I also ordered a blueberry muffin for us to split, it was big! It was tasty, but covered in cinnamon sugar which I didn't appreciate on a blueberry muffin. We sat on the outdoor patio with our dogs and it was such a relaxing time! Great patio seating and a bit of indoor seating as well, not as much as the Omaha location. read more

The apple cider is made in house and was definitely the best one I've EVER had. The cookie was 10/10 and surprised me! It comes with chocolate chunks, coconut flakes, pumpkins seeds, etc so I was a bit hesitant but the worker assured me it was tasty. My first bite and I was SOLD. The staff were very friendly and gave good recommendations. I ordered a vanilla latte and the quiche Lorraine. Their espresso is really good. Very happy with the quality. The quiche Lorraine was out of this world. First of all, you get a very large, generous portion and it's so fluffy and flavorful. I liked that the ham was diced into little cubes and plentiful. Stopped in for a quick bite after a business trip. Only a couple blocks from both the Courtyard Marriott and Hilton Garden Inn. The Mill is in a quaint, old school building and inside you feel like you've gone back in time to the classic town shop. The staff were friendly and the line to purchase moved quickly. The Haymarket coffee blend was good. I also had the apple poptart, which was money. Reminded me of Apple Strudel...great flavor, flaky pastry crust. Definitely worth a visit. read more

While The Mill is one of our favorite places to hang-out in Lincoln, it won't be for most. The building is very old in the middle of the Hay Market area. Parking is always an issue, while we can usually find a place within a block, there have been times I had to park and walk. ALL parking is metered. But we both love the ambiance and frequently after 'having coffee' for a while will walk to a restaurant nearby for dinner. They offer a sweet roll or muffin, but these are often gone. They do NOT make these themselves. but I believe from a nearby bakery. The roast their own coffee and offer 20 to 30 different blends. You will have to try a few and decide which ones you might like. I don't rally have a favorite, but have discovered a few I don't like at all. If you buy and take-out or sit and drink your coffee or tea there is normally a choice of 2 different coffee roasts, but any of 30+ teas. For us The Mill is a place to sit, read, watch the foot traffic and simple ENJOY the day. We do not live close by which makes it a 'timeout' from the everyday. We have seen many cars drive up and have someone take out their order to them. I should mention that all their teas and coffees are for sale in bulk, I have purchased and tried several but won't recommend as this is very personal. Cost is within normal charges from experience for bulk and individual cups. read more

This rustic coffee shop is located in The Haymarket area of Lincoln. As soon as you enter the coffee shop you are welcomed by the smell of roasting coffee and friendly staff. I immediately was taken back by how large this coffee shop. They had a large room off to the side with a hallway that just kept going with cozy spots for sitting and enjoying your coffee in a quiet space. The mini airplanes hanging from the ceiling added to the eclectic space. The shop had a number of items to purchase, t-shirts, coffee, candy and other local goods. As it was a hot day I decided to try their hibiscus cooler - it was so refreshing and wish I had ordered a larger size! Next time I'm in Lincoln, I will definitely try their coffee!! read more

Nice little coffee place with a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating. We stopped in a while back up visiting family in Lincoln and wanted a place to relax. We ordered a drip coffee and cappuccino and ended up sitting out on the covered patio enjoying the breeze and drinks. The coffee was piping hot and had a nice flavor to it. I was trying to get a snack for my crying son, but the kids working must have thought that talking amongst themselves was more important than a screaming Toddler. When I interrupted their conversation to at least leave my wallet to get a muffin so they could "take their time" processing the order, they simple said, "we can't do that." I walked out and will never be returning, especially with learning there are much better options within walking distance. Taking care of your employees should therefore help take care of your customer. They do not have this type of philosophy and should be extremely disappointed. I haven't been in the other Mill coffee shops to attest to the similarity. The drink tasted like a standard chain coffee which I hoped would have been a little more special. They also didn't have to stay cups which I would have like to have seen. The WiFi has dead spots on the SE side of the building which was unfortunate as I was trying to stream a meeting. This is the second location of the Mill I've been to. The first one I've been to is walking distance from my apartment. I love the selection of sweets that they have I got a cookie to go along with my fruit smoothie. The smoothie tastes so delicious and fresh. The staff here are so friendly. I love the mill coffee! Although the past couple times I have went my coffee was messed up. I always order either an iced mocha with oat milk and an extra shot, or an iced chia with oat milk and an extra shot. With the chia my extra shot got forgotten and with my iced mocha it was made with almond milk instead of oat milk. Not a huge thing but both of these are upcharges so having them forgotten or messed up is a bit inconvenient. Otherwise most times I go it is great coffee. The customer service is also top tier! read more
