We got there early. It filled up later.

Giant patio with relaxed atmosphere. Share a summer drink and listen to live music into sunset. Good eats and full bar. Friendly, happy servers. I got the Hummus tray. Celery, carrots and pita bread with huge bowl of tasty hummus topped with olive oil and pine nuts. Shareable (unless you want to keep it all to yourself!). Lots log local beer on draft. Collision Bend Blood Orange is a perfect summer brew.

I stumbled upon this place through Yelp looking for something fun and different to do as a family for Mother's Day. And I could not have been more pleasantly surprised at just how amazing 1899 Indoor Golf was....the food and cocktails were outstanding and the golf simulators were an absolute blast, with so many game modes. Such a cool experience! Above all the customer service was impeccable and we will for sure be coming back soon!

Though the place looks huge, it's basically the same thing in every aisle; rows and rows of sweatpants, all nearly identical except for in maybe 4 different colors; then polyester shorts, then tank tops, then polyester tshirts, then polyester sweatshirts. I couldn't find anything that was 100% cotton. They didn't have a great selection of shoes. 3. The lock on the right-most fitting room door seems to work (to the person locking the door) but actually doesn't, and the employees rather seem to enjoy hearing a cry and a 'What the fuck?' every few minutes. 4. The employees stink of cheap perfume. And cannot answer simple questions, like 'where are the men's lightweight nylon running jackets?' And do not acknowledge waiting customers and open another register as soon as they see they should. 5. The bathrooms were disgusting and all out of order except one, which looked to have actual excrement on the floor on the metal drain between stalls. 6. It's expensive. Despite the poor quality of clothing, it is 'brand name' clothing, so still $29 or $43, (even $108,) for most things I picked up.

Knowing from previous experiences that the ranger at Glen Eagle can be aggressive about pace of play, I stretched and warmed up at my country club before arriving. I arrived for my 6:45 a.m. tee time and teed off at 6:45, possibly a minute late. I fully acknowledge that I could have arrived earlier and take responsibility for that. What I cannot excuse is how the situation was handled. Before I even teed off, the ranger confronted me in an aggressive and unprofessional manner about being late. After I paid and went to the first tee, he approached me again and continued arguing about "golf etiquette" while making unnecessary comments about the tee box I chose to play. It was an uncomfortable interaction that should never have occurred, especially before the round had even started. The most frustrating part is that pace of play was never an issue. My group completed the round in just under four hours on Father's Day weekend, well ahead of the posted 4 hour 20 minute pace. When we made the turn, there were already multiple groups stacked up on the first tee, making it difficult to understand why so much attention was focused on our group. Unfortunately, the interaction did not end there. After the round, while I was sitting in the restaurant having a beer and lunch, the same ranger approached me and restarted the argument from earlier in the day. He commented on my car door being open, which I genuinely appreciated, but then used it as an opportunity to continue criticizing and lecturing me. A customer should not have to deal with repeated confrontations from a staff member hours after the original issue has passed. The situation escalated further when he approached me again in the parking lot and identified himself as "George Storm." After he followed me into the pro shop, the golf professional working there addressed him as Tom and instructed him to leave me alone. Being given one name by an employee and then hearing a different name from another staff member was confusing and only added to an interaction that had already become unnecessarily confrontational. At that point, another employee had to intervene because the ranger would not let the matter go. The course itself was in good condition, and we enjoyed playing it. The staff in the pro shop were professional and respectful. Unfortunately, the ranger's conduct overshadowed the entire experience. In decades of playing golf, I have never experienced a staff member repeatedly seek out a customer before, during, and after a round to continue an argument. I can take accountability for being close to my tee time. What I cannot understand is why a ranger felt the need to repeatedly confront a customer who played well within pace, was spending money at the facility after the round, and simply wanted to enjoy his day. This was, without question, the most unprofessional experience I have ever had with a golf course employee.

I was there today, 3/22/2025, around noon and purchased a new pair of hiking shoes. I'm a senior, black male and was dressed casually for a chilly Saturday. At the entrance, some merchandise caught my eye and I browsed the men's clothing for about 10 minutes before I proceeded to the shoe dept. I found the area that displayed my shoe brand and waited patiently for the very busy salesman, who had already acknowledged my presence. He answered my questions and obtained a pair that I wanted to try on. As I tried the shoes on, I noticed a man walking around and lingering, "pretending" to be a customer. When I got up to walk in the shoes, I noticed a woman doing the same thing. I sensed that they were security and as a black male, I'm keenly aware of situations like this. I always feel insulted because, although I am not perfect, for most of my adult life, I have played by the rules. Couple that with the fact that the vast majority of licensed career people like myself, know that misdemeanors & felonies negatively impact one's license renewal. To whomever sent those two security folks to the shoe area: it was so obvious and for what? I won't reveal my net worth but you would likely be surprised because I look fairly plain. BTW, my credit score is just 13 points shy of being perfect! Now, I know that socioeconomic status might not correlate with shoplifting because RICH PEOPLE STEAL TOO. For many, it's for the "thrill of it," not about the money. Well anyway, I left Dick's with my purchase and I don't fault the very good shoe salesman nor the nice young ladies at the register. I blame the BARNEY FIFE WANNABE SUPERCOP SECURITY STAFF WATCHING THE STORE for insulting my integrity as a senior citizen and minority!

I had a question about the item so I called and spoke to the sales girl. She was very helpful answering my question so I ordered it. Shipping does make the item cost a lot more BUT it is not the fault of PIAS, it's just the cost of shipping which is beyond their control. I ordered the racquet on the 5th and received it fast. I think about 5 days later or maybe 4. Good that they promptly boxed it up and shipped it out to be out here in Southern California. I ordered a racquet from PIAS in North Carolina but and received the same great service and answers to my questions when I called them. I wanted to leave a positive Yelp review for the NC location but I didn't see a Yelp review page for them so I couldn't leave one. There is a local PIAS in Pasadena that I went to years ago and visited again a couple days ago to check out the tennis racquets. They have a nice selection of racquets there but not one I was looking for. I'll keep my eyes open for that location for racquets. I am an avid tennis player and like to try different racquets out of curiosity and PIAS usually has a nice selection to chose from. Actually the one I bought from the NC location was the first racquet I purchased from PIAS and it won't be my last. Well it wasn't my last because I got the one from the Ohio location but what I mean is I'll continue to buy from them as long as they have good selections and reasonable prices. I prefer to find it at the local location as not to pay for shipping but it's okay if I have to pay for shipping if I really want it but my first choice would be local. Actually the first racquet I bought from them was a Wilson Pro Staff 85 because I saw it and wanted it because I had one in the 90s I sold and wish I hadn't, so now because I was able to buy it from PIAS I now have a replacement for a very special racquet I used to own. I may not play matches with it because tech wise it's no match with my opponents but I will keep it for sentimental reasons and sometimes I'll rally with it. The Head Radical I bought from the Ohio location is really nice and I will be playing matches with it. There were a few scratches and scuff marks on it but that is to be expected with a used sports item BUT it was still in good condition and very usable. Great shopping chain.
