The shrimp tacos are consistently good! Other menu items tend to fluctuate on quality. But overall one of the best restaurants in Muncie!

This is our second time trying out 1925 Pubhouse. The first experience we had was not great but gave them the benefit of the doubt because it was opening week. We came back yesterday excited to try it out and waited at the front to be seated. There was no hostess in sight for at least 5-7 minutes. We are patient people so we understand if you guys are busy. However, the restaurant was dead. She comes back with her head down and a cup of coffee or tea or whatever she just made, sounded annoyed and says "how many?" No "hi guys","sorry for the wait",etc. She seats us and walks away. I worked in a restaurant for six years prior and your FOH is supposed to be welcoming and friendly, they set the tone for the rest of the night. Our service was fine from our server, but our food was blah. We both got smash burgers and they were giving Applebees or Chili's food but for double the price. I don't think I ate any of my fries because they tasted old. Overall, we were expecting and hoping for a better second time but left disappointed again. read more

The server Payton was very bad. To start we waited for 10 minutes before she finally came up to us for our drinks and she sounded annoyed the whole time. We talked to her 3-4 times in total the whole time we were there and any time my girlfriend was talking to her, she walked away mid sentence. I've enjoyed every experience I've had at this restaurant. However, I have only ordered the chicken tenders, but they have been great each and every time. These chicken tenders are the big and chunky kind, which are my favorite. Also, their ranch is another one of my favorites as well. I've tried a couple of the appetizers, when with other people (firecracker shrimp and pretzel sticks), both were amazing choices as well. The wine was okay but the steak was very bland and boring. They over cooked it the first time. The fries and baked potato I had along with it were really good. The bar tender was nice and provided good service. The store was nice and clean from what I could see. If you want a nice meal I could recommend somewhere else. read more

Just opened in April, and this place is one of the best places I've ever ate. Superb staff, clean building, nice outside parking. The food was amazing! Everything was cooked with expertise. Cooks definitely know what they are doing. This is now my go to place for a nice dinner! Every employee should be complimented ! Sounds like great management. A+ waitress! read more

Awesome restaurant in Muncie - traveled from Indy to experience it! Delicious cocktails (we tried the Pom Pom Mule, Blood Orange Margarita, Billy the Kid, and the Rickenbacker Smash). We started with firecracker shrimp and pretzel sticks (yummy beer cheese) and had fish and chips + the Bayou Smash burger for mains. Service was quick and friendly. The space was modern and fresh. We had a late lunch on a Wednesday, and it was very good. They weren't busy at all. I had the crispy chicken sandwich with fries. The other people in our party had the BLT with chips and the patty melt. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The prices were reasonable - the chicken sandwich is $12.25 and the BLT was $11. They have drink specials everyday. The atmosphere is a nice, industrial look with a good-sized well-stocked bar. Our server was very nice and attentive. It did appear that they focus more on cocktails and wine, rather than beer. I would definitely go back. read more

Just had lunch there and I was greatly disappointed. The waitress explained that they were short on kitchen staff and so our food might take a bit longer. I'm okay with that, but when my food did come out, both the tenderloin and the fries were barely warm. I also watched the waitress set my food down in front of a person at the bar, then pick it back up a few seconds later. She stated that the guy worked at the bar like that makes it okay to give my plate to someone else. Yuck. Parking was also a nightmare. I won't be returning. read more

The food here is amazing! I had a BLT and the bacon was cooked to perfection. Not only was the service outstanding but the servers go above and beyond all my expectations. The ambiance at the bar was breathtaking and it made my date night spectacular. We were greeted at the door and immediately seated. I wish they would have asked if we wanted a high or low top table or booth. I'm rather short and appreciate lower seating so when they took us to a high top table I asked if they had anything lower, which they had to take us back to the hostess stand where we were then redirected to something preferred. My partner and I both had the tenderloin sandwich for a late lunch and both found it tasty. One of us had onion rings with the sandwich and they were just typical. I wish my fries were warmer. We had the pretzels for an appetizer and they we good. The service was outstanding never left us without full drinks and promptly brought the check. On multiple occasions food has always been excellent along with waitstaff. However the front of the house on 11-11 was abysmal. Tried to make reservations but was told these aren't offered. Drove family (party of 6) there at 4:30 pm and waited until after 6:30 to finally walk out without being seated. Saw two parties of 8 speak to hostess about reservations made and were seated within 10 -15 minutes. Spoke with hostess about getting seated. We were always "next". read more

6 of us went to 1925 Pubhouse for the first time last night. Many empty tables but we were told we had a 45 min wait. I asked if we could put 2 small tables together with a negative look and response. She said they were too busy. We headed to the bar while we waited for an "open" table. The bartender seemed annoyed that we ordered drinks, but did deliver them quickly. As we got our drinks. 2 sets of three people sat at each table I suggested they put together. I can understand not using 2 small tables for 6 people but there were plenty small tables open. Gradually, at least 20 mins, we got a booth for 6. We waited an additionally 25 minutes before the end person stood up and asked a waiter to come over. He said it wasn't his table, but would help. He went to leave, we asked if we could have water. He seemed surprised,but said sure. We did get our water and he took our order. The food came in a timely manner. But then we had to flag him down again because we didn't have silverware! This all took so long that the two groups of three that came in after us had eaten and one set had left. Very few people still in the restaurant by the time we got our food. Everyone liked the food, no complaints there, but the service was terrible and I won't return. read more

We were in town for a business event and ordered from 1925 Pubhouse while staying at the Courtyard in Muncie. Excellent food with good service. We each ordered the chicken bacon ranch wrap, one with grilled chicken and the other with fried chicken, and then shared an order of potato skins and onion rings. I have been twice now and each time the food was good. Not 100% satisfied but very close. Tried the Cajun chicken and the gumbo over the chicken tasted strange, from a can? Everything else was great!! Also tried the salmon. A little undercooked for my taste but flavors were great. My husband loves the fried pork tenderloin and it is great!!!! More to try.... read more

1925 is the type of restaurant that Muncie can handle. It's got a pretty classic menu with a few small twists. The quality is good. We ordered the pretzel sticks, burgers, and a few sandwiches. Think Texas Roadhouse but better. Prices are reasonable for the food. Lots of menu items around $12. We got to-go and it was ready and warm at the right time. I'd say that this may be the best restaurant in Muncie right now when considering all factors. read more
