Some pizza shops describe themselves as Greek-style, but 1A really is Greek 100%. The owner was born in Greece and his family has been running it for decades. The pizza is excellent and affordably priced. Greek salad with grilled chicken is a nice healthy choice. read more

For at least the 3rd time, I ordered by phone and was told 20 - 25 minutes for pick up. Get to the store 25 minutes later and they put my pizza in AFTER I told them what order I was there to pick up. If it had been once over several years of ordering, fine, things happen. But it just seems to be a regular thing with them for some reason - so no more for us. Also, they never apologized on any of the occasions for my having to wait so long, especially since it was due entirely to their error. Recently moved a few blocks away and had heard good things about A1 pizza. Our normal go-to (which isnt really great) had closed at 8pm so we went for A1. The pizza was DELICIOUS!! Greek style but not with a super bulky crust, slight sweetness to the sauce and plenty of cheese. It was really, really good!! On top of the really good pizza, the owner was so lovely. You can tell that he, and his entire staff, work very hard and take great pride in putting out good food!! We will be back soon and can't wait to try a steak and cheese - which I've heard melts in your mouth! read more

Pros: -Very clean facilities -Friendly staff -Usually fast service -Perfect ratio of toppings (sauce, cheese, etc). -I'm so glad the pizza sauce isn't too sweet! I hate sweet sauce. -Good run-of-the-mill Greek style pizza. Nothing about this place is "foodie" or special, but it's a nice mom and pop pizza place. Why'd they lose a star? -The pizza seems more oily/greasy than comparable places with a similar style. It still tastes good, but I suspect it's the type of cheese they use. Whoever says no to this place is crazy! We moved down the street in January and while I cook most nights you can imagine moving/working full time etc you don't want to cook some nights. These folks have been the most kind and welcoming from the person that picks up the phone to the larger than life delivery man! We have done pickup and delivery and no matter what we have had warm and delicious prepared food. One note is thank god I went in for a pickup and saw they do sell mozzarella sticks, so be sure to add that to your order next time around. 1A Pizza is a place you could pass by without flinching (as are are of the old, worn down businesses in this area of Route 1A), due to the tired storefront in need of a facelift. Either way, they have decent pizza and aren't all that far from my house. Even though they aren't the cheapest place around or the most attractive place (we've already gone over this!), it's a good option and the only pizza parlor in this area of town. Parking is simple and the menu is large enough to accommodate the entire family or party with assortments ranging from spaghettis, salads, pizzas, subs, burgers, calzones, and other side things (chicken fingers, onion rings, etc, etc). They are also known for the 1A Pizza Cream Soda and Root Beer available all the time. Inside of the restaurant is lovely due to the continuous state of cleanliness and upkeep measures. Lots of booths and lots of space. Staff are friendly and even when they have lots and lots of orders to fill, sizes aren't skimpy and accuracy is good, for the most part. Have had one issue here in the past where they switched my order with someone else's, but wasn't a big deal overall. On Route 1A, next to the CFM Variety. Decent spot for lunch or dinner in this specific area of Norwood; however, it's definitely not the best of the large assortment of pizza restaurants in Norwood. 4 stars. read more

Food is ok at best. Service isn't that great at all. I wanted a calzone which usually anywhere else takes tops 20 minutes. I was told 45 minutes and they couldn't cook it with pickles inside the calzone. Sorry but that's a deal breaker for me. read more

If you like Greek style pizza you will love this place! They always have some kind of pizza special running too! Yummy Subs and really awesome honey mustard dipping sauce for chicken tenders! If you like super well done French fries or onion rings they will NOT disappoint you if you say well done with crazy crunch you'll be in heaven. Make fry sauce out if 1/2 ketchup and 1/2 Mayo and you'll never go back to plain ketchup again. I also enjoy straight up Mayo on the well done fries! God, now I want some now!!!! read more

Ordered chicken finger dinner and had it delivered. It was here in a reasonable amount of time, everything was delicious, and everyone is right about the honey mustard sauce.
