Joe and his crew built two new planters for my back patio and an arbor for my front garden. The communication was good and Joe and his crew were friendly and professional. The planters turned out just as I wanted, and they transferred the soil from my existing / disintegrating planter without being asked, which was super helpful. They disposed of my old planter too. I had a specific design I wanted for the arbor and they replicated it exactly. We had a slight miscommunication about the dimensions of the arbor, it ended up being skinnier than I wanted, but to me it's not a huge deal. They sunk the arbor into the ground and made sure it was level, so I did not have to do any "installation" - they did it all for me. The whole project took less than 2 days and they did a thorough job cleaning up after themselves each day. I would totally hire them again for any future projects. read more

My wife and I reached out to the team at 1st choice landscaping for a 12x8 concrete slab to be added to our backyard for a shed that's going to be installed here in the next week or two. Francisco met with me and went over measurements and we also added a winding path so that we can walk to where the shed will be without tracking through mud and dirt. The team did an amazing job!! I worked with Joe throughout who checked in often to make sure everything was going well and Francisco and his crew were super professional, hardworking, and fast!! We're really happy with the first addition to our backyard, which was previously a blank slate. These guys are awesome and I highly recommend!!! Here are some photos. Unfortunately it's tough to get good ones right now during inclement weather and with 2 big dogs that like to make a mess of the yard on the daily. We had a very bad experience with Joe and his crew. We hired this company for the drip irrigation work, once they put the main line for irrigation I requested them to finish the rest of the job after 1 week because the pots I ordered online got delayed in delivery. With half work done we have paid 90% amount. He agreed that he will come back when we were ready. After 2 weeks I called them to finish the work, then he asked additional amount, and we requested him to finish the work with the agreed amount. After that, he stopped picking up the calls and not responding to emails. Then we called from a different phone number then he suddenly picked up and he was really rude to my husband. In the quote, they mentioned a Wi-Fi device for the irrigation controller, but instead, they installed a cheap Bluetooth controller. You need to be standing right next to it with your phone for the controller to connect, so it is pretty pointless. Finally, they set 2 appointments and my husband took off those days from work so that someone will be home when they come and both days they didn't show up, did not call to cancel or explain why they couldn't come. When my husband called them, initially they said they will call back in 5 minutes and they didn't. He tried calling them many times and they didn't pick up the phone. In the evening he called from another phone and they picked up, but they were extremely rude to him. Anyway still our irrigation is halfway done and our half amount is gone because we have paid in advance. We never had any experience like this, this is one of the worst companies in the Seattle area. read more

This review is overdue. This past spring we used 1st choice for landscaping our entire property. First and foremost, the professionalism 1st Choice has is "1st" Class. Joe and his team have been nothing but the best there is. The attention detail, the preparedness's and the customer service is wonderful. Joe gave us plans, ideas and ensured us he would work within whatever our budget is and make it happen. He worked with our scheduling and once we were in agreement with the project, he and his guys got to work! He exceeded our expectations. We could not be happier. My wife and sit in our back yard and describe it as welcoming, eye appealing and peaceful. Any questions after the fact, Joe was quick to respond and find an answer if he didn't have one. We learned that not only do they do landscaping but everything including remodeling. We were so satisfied we are working with him now to remodel our master bath. One thing to note is Joe's honesty.
