They started off well when I hired them late last year, but they tried to charge me twice for March and April even when I told them I had paid. I also stressed more than once that I like a cottage garden look and not to do the typical pruning. One mistake is fine, but it happened more than once - and just a text saying they hoped it wouldn't happen again. No apologies, no how can we make it right. I needed to add some far better landscaping to my side, front and backyard areas, especially after I had pavers installed that gave my yards vastly improved designated areas. In addition to doing that, I needed my two front yard palm trees pruned as well as a plum tree in my backyard; a few other plants also needed pruning. Several bushes needed to be removed along with some general cleanup due to my large redwood tree's pine needles that fall everywhere. Before the job began, I met with the owners who wrote everything down as I needed, including reading it back to be sure they understood. They arrived on time. After giving me a written amount of the the cost through email (which I felt was very reasonable), we met at a local nursery to discuss what plants they had in mind, other plants I was interested in that attract hummingbirds and butterflies, and two Japanese maple trees. They also planted daffodil and tulip bulbs. In addition to everything above, they power washed an area of pavers where my neighbor's roof cleaning landed on my property as well as the adjacent top of my retaining wall. They threw out everything that was removed, hauled it away, left my house looking clean and beautiful! They were busy yet able to agree on a date to start the work. My only regret was that due to personal circumstances I didn't take pictures immediately afterwards then winds came up that left pine needles everywhere which ruined the overall appearance just days before due to too many pine needles everywhere. I overheard neighbors talking about how beautiful my yard looked the next day! My curb appeal has vastly improved! Due to another gardener deciding that mowing my yard was too far for him unexpectedly, my lawn became a nightmare. The 2 Bellas mowed it but it needs help which I hope can be accomplished in the near future. I'm planning to hire them again, to prune my apple tree at the appropriate time, move forward with dealing with the grass, and some general maintenance because they've definitely won my trust in their abilities to do great work. Everything was streamlined with no hiccups from scheduling estimates & project date and completing the project itself. I can not express enough how amazing this company is. I did estimates with 10 companies for initial yard cleanup and bi weekly maintenance and I went with 2 Bellas because of how affordable and nice they were. I wasn't expecting much nor do I demand perfection but they have truly exceeded all my expectations. I would give them a five star rating because they did a great job regrading my front lawn. I recently had work done in front of my house by a foundation repair company. They left a huge mess with my lawn chewed up and they reassured me that the yard will be regraded. Their version of regrade is a few grass seeds and straw. Not what I expected. Then I called Bella. They gave me an estimate and they had my front lawn regraded within 10 days. I definitely would recommend Bella and would use them again in the future. I noticed Bellas landscaping was mowing the lawn at my place of work and pointing the grass clippings so they blow onto my car after I spent a bunch of time cleaning my car. So, I called Bella's office to ask them, very politely, if next time they could tell their employees to maybe point the lawnmower the other way to blow the grass clippings away from my car. After I politely asked the person I was on the phone with to do that the owner of Bellas landscaping came over to me while I was working and started yelling at me for no reason. I was trying to be very polite and not make a big deal out of it but the poor customer service of the owner blew it way out of proportion. If he would've came over and said I'm sorry next time I'll make sure not to blow them on your car I would have given them a five star review but now I have grass all over one side of my car and have to spend two more hours cleaning and waxing it. read more
