On October 5th, 2021 this shop replaced my front struts as well as a lower passenger front control arm under a warranty. They insisted that the control arm was rusted to the point that it couldn't be reused, which was wrong. They didn't want to do the manual labor to press out the arm so they decided that I have to pay out of pocket to have the control arm replaced because they wouldn't get paid enough to replace the bushing. I was told by multiple other shops that my control arm was perfectly fine and that this shop was lazy and didn't wanna do the extra labor to replace just the bushing. Then I found out later that miraculously the caliper seized after they replaced the control arm on the same exact side and had to be replaced. In short, please don't use this business. You'll regret it in the long run. Do your research before you go to a business. This one is definitely shady. They said they could replace the struts if the control arm wasn't replaced which was a straight lie. They just wanted my money. First Class alignment and repair also said that my control arm was so "rusted" that it had to be replace which was another lie they told. They're greedy and not honest people. A few weeks ago I started having trouble with my car and needed work done on it that could not wait. I brought my car here based on other Yelp reviews and was very happy with the whole experience. My car was brought in to be seen immediately and within an hour I was given a full run down of what was wrong, what needed to be replaced, and my different price options. There was a lot that needed to be done but the man who was behind the desk was very informative and was able to explain everything to me clearly. For the amount of work that needed to be done I was very surprised that they were able to complete all of the work in one day. I have had no further problems with my car and all of the staff was great. Everyone was helpful, friendly, and efficient. I will be coming here from now on for my car care. read more

I would like to advise, any one that is in need of a mechanic ( do not, I repeat do not go to First class in Middltown New York ). They are located in Dolson Avenue. At first the employees treat you like they care, this is a trap. Once they repair your automobile, You think that all is well. In a couple of days your car starts to develop a new mechanical problem. You take it back to First Class, low and behold they have to take another look at it. They phone you with the details,of what is wrong with your car. Then wham, you are hit with astronomical quote for the additional repair. This will not delight you. Not only are they vampires, they also insult you. The principle Vampire will inform you that it is your fault. I have encountered people that have had the same experience. Please I repeat, do not go to this establishment. read more

For years, I have been looking for a reliable service center. In particular, Joey, one of the mechanics, had gone above and beyond, after hours, to help one evening. No need for specific details but all I can say is that it quite possibly saved my marriage! After that evening, I have trusted 1st Class to work on our company vehicles as well as personal for just about everything. I'm sure there will be more to follow. I never disagreed about the tires. Yes, I needed them. My issue was that I was never shown the tires that were ordered and the tie rods were perfectly fine. Any honest mechanic that actually looked would tell you that it was the ball joint. After the ball joint was replaced, the wheel worked properly and the alignment was able to be completed elsewhere. What would have happened if I let 1st Class replace all of my tie rods (which is normal practice) and obviously this would NOT have fixed the wheel so it would have been an extra charge to do the actual work/replacement that was required...the replacement of the ball joint. Don't take issue with me, take issue with your mechanic for either being completely without experience of telling the difference or possibly being shady! Your mechanic took my vehicle for a drive and popped the hood without my knowledge until after the fact! That's when I was asked to sign the consent form....after it had already happened....again appears very shady! I'm sharing my experience as it happened. Look at your employees to blame and not the customer who was too smart to fall for the nonsense! I'm not the only one who knows your people did wrong! read more

Needed new tires, called around town and got shady questions and answers. Stopped in 1st Class Alignment & Repair. Was greeted by a mechanic Joey, told him I was not sure how bad my tires were (as I do not know much about these types of things) we walked to my car and Joey gave me his honest opinion and I also explained I was on a budget. Joey and his team gave me some options as my back tires were not as bad as my front tires. Joey gave me quotes, with taxes and labor which i appreciated as many times I've gone to other (not worth mentioning repair shops) to pick up my vehicle and there are scrupulous fees and it does not add up. I ended up getting all four tires, all done in one day and I was able to pick up my car after work. Everything about the experience, will gave me returning for all services 1st Class Alignment & Repair offer. The HONESTY, the PROFESSIONALISM, the fact that I was acknowledged and spoken to with respect and not lied to, to buy things I didn't need has me extremely pleased with my experience with Joey and his team. 1st class technicians are consistently par excellence in workmanship. it comes with trust to service my "cream puff 16 year-old lincoln continental"!! techs convey what procedure will be used & what parts are needed. i prefer to install oem parts to maintain quality of my lincoln & since certain parts are obsolete,, they allow me to shop for them & cheerfully install them . so for many years, i have entrusted 1st class to service & install: front struts & rear shocks, brakes & rotors, suspension parts, oil pan, gas tank, catalytic converter & stainless steel muffler system.--{a warning is to avoid monro muffler rip-off or sears who do unnecessary repair scams as class action suits have been filed against them in the past}!! just google many consumer complaints of sears & monro muffler!!! it is rare to ind such an honest family business who uphold a fine reputation of the community for many years!!! i am grateful to gladys, eric & superb technicians!!! god bless all!! read more

New to the area, I searched for an automotive company to service my newly purchased used 2010 Hundi. Thanks to Yelp, I had many choices and I was able to get price quotes from various companies. 1ST Class quotes met my financial budget but most of all, the reviews in Yelp, helped me decide to choose 1 ST Class. Yeah, finally a company I felt comfortable leaving my vehicle with. The day of my appointment, two employees had called in sick, yet Chris and the service team managed to finish my auto on time. I was blessed to get Chris as my service tech, not only did he perform my needed services, he went over and above to make sure my auto was ready for the approaching cold weather. In this day and age its usually a challenge to find a company one can trust. 1St. Class has earned my loyalty even though they are located 20 miles from my home! if it were possible to give no stars I would. let me start by saying that I would not trust this place to rotate my tires after what I went through. story starts out that I brought my car to them because of an engine issue that I did not have the time to get involved with. they tell me that it is a bent valve and quote me $1400 to replace the bad one as well as change all the valve springs on the head and tell me it should take about 2 weeks. sounds like a pretty good deal right? yeah I thought the same thing. fast forward more than 2 months later and over $1500 in "unforeseen" repairs needed to get the car running again. (you imagine how pissed I was at this point) in the end I paid $2500 to have my car run better but still not that great. 6 months later I had to redo most of what they did when it blew a head gasket. apparently the guy who worked on it forgot to torque a couple of the head bolts. he also must have felt that using liquid gasket everywhere instead of the oem rubber gaskets that I WAS CHARGED FOR was acceptable. all I can say is: way to do a "1st class" repair on my car guys... read more
