I was assisted by a new service advisor, it was very blatant that he profile me because i was Hispanic he thought I was gullible enough to pay nearly five times what i paid just a few weeks earlier. I found the entire interaction disrespectful and unacceptable. I try to Email the owner but the Email he leaves on the review is not valid, I also left comments on their website to no avail. After evaluating my Ford I was told that there was a Technical Bulletin that came out from Ford several years ago. I am impressed that they did the research to evaluate my car. They told me I did NOT NEED A TRANSMISSION. I only needed an update on the vehicle computer. Here's the numbers. Ford wanted $3500 for a rebuilt transmission. A new transmission was $6000. Final cost at Scotty's $150 to evaluate $250 to upload the new software Total $400.00 Can't say enough good things about this place. Talk about trusting a Mecanic!!! The next morning, the chipper superhero (we will call him Trailblazer) optimistically announced to the family that he had found some fellow superheroes of the tire world at Tire Discount Center. He headed out while the fam cuddled in for some Scooby Do cartoons, and was back within 30 min. The team dropped everything they were doing, lifted the camper while attached to the car, and had those tires replaced in a matter of minutes (Trailblazer approximates 12 minutes). What a great team! I supplied my own part (the water pump) but thought that the price for labor, plus antifreeze and the belt was a lot better than his competitors, which happen to be located just on the next street over on Patterson. The other auto repair shop on Patterson are a rip-off. They quoted me $400.00 more than D & R charged me. D & R Auto repair is the place to go to if you want great service at a great price.
