Recently had 1st Gen HVAC do a furnace replacement of my 23 year old unit. Fredy and Sebastian were very clean and professional throughout the whole process. I suffer from severe allergies so having dust come out of the attic during the install was a concern for me but these guys were awesome and put up a plastic barrier and bagged most of the trash in the attic to heavily minimize the dust. Would highly recommend these guys and their work to anyone.

Unfortunately, I recently had a very disappointing experience with Hassler…read more We called them because our AC unit would not turn on, and they were the company that originally installed it. The technician, John, initially seemed knowledgeable and friendly, but the service quickly went downhill during the diagnostic process. While troubleshooting the system, he blew a transformer, causing additional damage to our HVAC system. He then attempted to charge me more than $500 on the spot to repair the damage that occurred while he was working on the unit. After I pushed back, he agreed to waive those repair costs. Throughout the visit, he repeatedly tried to sell me an annual maintenance plan, even though the original problem had not been diagnosed or resolved. He then told me that the control board had also failed and needed to be ordered and replaced for nearly $1,500, but he could not even guarantee that replacing it would solve the issue. At that point, I had lost confidence in his ability to make the diagnosis. Before authorizing any further work, I researched the part myself and discovered that the quoted price appeared to be more than $1,100 above the actual cost. I decided to seek a second opinion from another local HVAC company. That turned out to be the right decision. The second company diagnosed the actual issue in about 15 minutes and had the system repaired within an hour. They also confirmed that the control board Hassler wanted to replace was functioning properly and did not need replacement. To make matters worse, John never followed through regarding the control board parts he said he would investigate ordering. To me, this confirms that it was all BS to try and make a buck, or he honestly didn't know what he was doing and assumed I would move on. I can no longer recommend Hassler Heating and Air Conditioning. The lack of customer service, misdiagnosis, damage caused during troubleshooting, attempted upselling, and excessive repair quotes show that this company has fallen far from the standard they had 10 years ago.

I hired this company to do the work on my house that was recommended in a home energy assessment…read morecompleted last year. Initially Alex Minaboo, the owner, came to look the job over and in that visit recommended replacing all the heating ducts in the house. He tried to sell me a heat pump system which I did not want to do since the existing furnace is only three years old. There was nothing in the home energy assessment report indicating I needed to replace the furnace or the ducts. A few weeks later, the foreman (I think that is his role) came by to assess the job, and said he did not think the ducts needed to be replaced as they were still quite new. I opted to not replace the ducts but to proceed with the air sealing of the heating system that was recommended in the home energy assessment. Alex later said the air sealing could cause a problem for the furnace, which he said was too large for this size house. He suggested that adding an additional heat register might mitigate a potential problem with rapid cycling, and I opted to do this. In the course of All Things Good sealing the heating ducts and adding the new register, the blower on the furnace stopped working. Alex deflected and denied responsibility for his company causing the problem, disparaged another company that had installed the furnace, and argued that his company could not be held responsible for damages when something breaks in an old house while they are working on it, referring me to a clause in their contract. To fix the furnace, All Things Good charged $1200.00 in labor costs (for a job that took no more than 2 hours on site) and the blower was about $700 more). I have always thought "if you break it, you fix it" and I was floored by how this was being handled, but since I do not know HVAC systems and could not in good conscience argue that I was certain the breakdown was caused by their work, I proposed we split the bill for fixing the furnace. My offer was refused. Alex then had the gall to argue he was already giving me a discount on labor costs, and threatened that if I did not pay he would put a lien on my house. I paid the bill because it was not worth my time to fight with All Things Good. I see a number of positive reviews here and at least one that is like mine. My experience was very unsatisfactory and I will certainly never use this company again.

The team was professional and fast and they went above and beyond in explaining the water heater and the app. They even installed a new light in my basement so they could complete the work, which is helpful to me as well. The office staff was also excellent and very responsive and helped me get all the rebates I was eligible for. Look no further, All Things Good is the team you need .

It is a common location for…read morethis type of house, but -needless to say- it is not easy to replace that furnace when the need comes. We decided to hire ATLAS for the job: the furnace was old, and the original roof ducting did a lousy job distributing the heat throughout the house. I was always cold even when the heat was "blasting". ATLAS did a thorough and patient analysis of our old system. They decided to double up the ducts to provide more air flow, and they also organized the flow inside the ducts: it worked. Frankly, the final cost was reasonable, considering the benefits I am getting from it. I particularly recommend Nick and Scott who supervised the project: they really looked into the project, then fixed the problem. Plus: the work was clean, and the communication great all along. Happy customer :-)

Top Level: Initial screw-up, great recovery…read more Atlas heating installed our furnace nearly 20 years ago and it has worked well until recently. We started having problems with it, so we had a technician come out to perform preventative maintenance. However, less than a week later, it died completely and I could not revive it. I called Atlas, thinking that I would be a priority for service, assuming they would stand behind their work. Instead I was told that I could not get scheduled for service until 5 days later, and the money I had spent on the maintenance was essentially forfeit, as I would receive no credit towards the repairs. Instead, I went with a different company that diagnosed and repaired the problem two days later. After the rather disappointing interaction with Atlas, the owner called and was mortified at how I was treated. She was extremely apologetic and offered to not only refund the cost of the preventative maintenance, but tried to give me even more money for the poor handling of my case. While I did accept the refund, I did not think it fair to take more money. We parted on good terms and when it comes time to replace my furnace (in the near future), Atlas will definitely be part of the process. I would leave five stars, but have to deduct one for the initial poor handling of my case.

During the estimate phase, Constantine was a breath of fresh air. Instead of pushing generic upsells, he actually "downsold" us by engineering exactly what we needed to work seamlessly with our home's downflow ducting. He was honest, straightforward, and clearly explained the system without any high-pressure sales tactics. For the installation, Mike and Diego were our crew. They arrived a little past the initial 9am window on the first day, but they worked incredibly hard and got the entire complex job done right on schedule. At the start of Day 1, I handed them a simple "homeowner's QA" list of things I wanted to check with them at the end. They were super nice, listened, and gladly accommodated every single request. The workmanship is top-notch. They perfectly sealed the exterior wall where the lineset exits, helped me get the Kumo Cloud Wi-Fi connected to my phone, and hauled away all the old debris, leaving the site spotless. As a testament to their technical skill, when I asked about the refrigerant line vacuum test, they had pulled it down to 350 microns--which is a great number and proves they don't cut corners! Pics attached of the final setup. If you want an HVAC company that is honest in the office and expert in the field, we highly recommend the Galaxy team!
