    duct before cleaning

Alex and his team were fantastic. We had never had our ducts cleaned in the 28 years we've lived in our house in Walnut Creek. They not only did a very thorough and methodical cleaning, but they also got a bathroom fan working again that had been out of commission for number of years. They took the blowers out of the two furnaces and cleaned them well, and put in new filters. That alone will save me a service from the company that installed our HVAC system. They reattached vents with new screws as needed. They also discovered openings in the ducts that required caulking and taping, so we expect our system to now be more efficient with less air escaping and dust getting in. They communicated clearly with us about everything they were doing, and were open to any questions or concerns I shared.

Juan and his team did a great job replacing my furnace and relocating it to the attic, as well as installing new insulation and ductwork after the asbestos abatement team removed the accessible asbestos. Juan and Nir are friendly and effective communicators, which made the whole process much easier for me. I appreciate both of them for answering all of my questions.

Juan and his team from Breathable provided excellent service for my air-duct system replacement here in San Jose. They were incredibly professional and knowledgeable throughout the entire process, and I was impressed with how they kept my home spotless during the work. The price was very reasonable for the quality of service I received. What really stood out was their attention to detail - they suggested several improvements that I had completely overlooked and even discovered some minor issues with my AC, thermostat, and furnace during the installation. As a bonus, they were able to resolve all of those additional problems on the spot. The HVAC technicians really went above and beyond my expectations, and I'm glad I chose their service for my home's heating and air conditioning needs.

2 units installed in second floor bedrooms

A year ago, Breathable did a great job cleaning my home's air ducts and installing an upgraded furnace filter. What a difference--fresh indoor air! Nir Biderman, the owner, is an excellent communicator before, during, and after projects. He keeps in touch with customers to share relevant information, including the timing of furnace filter changes. No matter how often I called with assorted questions, he replied promptly and patiently. So when Nir contacted former clients to say he had acquired a limited number of mini-split ductless units, I reached out immediately. He arrived the next day to assess my home (in Oakland). The pricing was better than expected, and he also let me know about an available tax credit for the 2025 tax year. After discussing three options, we decided on individual units for two second-story bedrooms--a ductless heat pump system installation that finally solved our long-running "should we do AC?" debate. After procrastinating for years about air conditioning during East Bay heat waves, this was the chance to go for it. The crew did a fantastic job--not only with their hard work, but also with respect for the property (shoe covers indoors, great clean-up inside and out) and a clear explanation of how to use the units for heating and cooling. Thank you, Nir and the entire Breathable team!

    Ask the Community - Breathable

How much do you charge for your service for duct cleaning in San Francisco?

Hi there! It depends on the size of the house. You can get a quote along with a scheduling link on Breathable.com. Hope that helps.

Do you provide guarantees or warranties on HVAC installations or repairs?

We do. The warranty's duration varies based on the repair/installation type.

How can I control humidity levels in my home with the HVAC system?

Hi Yun. To add humidity, a whole-house humidifier should be installed. To lower humidity, use either your thermostat's dehumidification option (assuming your AC/heat pump supports this function) or a whole house dehumidifier.

Do you remove from and clean an HVAC duct that likely has a dead mouse that is fouling it?

Hi there. In most cases, we are successful in removing the rodent. In some cases, a section of the duct would require replacement.

Later that evening, PG&E confirmed that our furnace had failed and was releasing carbon monoxide into our home. The next morning, I began calling HVAC contractors. None of the nine companies I contacted could help for at least a week. Fortunately, a friend from my daughter's school referred me to Jose. He answered on the second ring, immediately understood the issue, and told me his Vice President would be at my house within the hour. Just 30 minutes later, Rudy arrived and quickly confirmed the diagnosis with his equipment. Jose immediately recognized the urgency of the situation. Not only were we without heat in freezing temperatures, but our family was also at risk of further carbon monoxide exposure. By 5:00 p.m. that same day, Air Flow Pros had sourced and delivered a new furnace, assembled a six-person crew, and begun removing the old unit. By 8:00 p.m., the new furnace was professionally installed, the work area was spotless, and our home was once again warm and safe. The service was truly outstanding. Air Flow Pros delivered a high-quality product at a fair price and completed the entire job within eight hours of my initial call. I couldn't be happier and would recommend them without hesitation.

The new refrigerant line install looks very clean and inconspicuous against the side of the house (I couldn't even tell it was there without Jose sending me photos later on of where it was placed). The AC works like new, and the quote was very reasonable for the amount of work that was involved. Will definitely contact Air Flow Pros in the future for other jobs. Thanks Jose!

The tech was on time, professional, and actually took the time, professional, and actually took the time to explain what was wrong with my furnace and AC instead of just rushing through it. The new HVAC system runs quietly, keeps the whole house comfortable. and I've already noticed a drop in my energy biils. If you're looking for reliable HVAC repair or installation, this is the company to call. Honest, friendly, and dependable - I wouldn't go anywhere else.

But if you are looking for a partner to…read moretransform your home into a safe, efficient, and future-proof sanctuary, there is only one name: Fuse Service HVAC & Electrical SF. Our journey with Fuse didn't start with a grand vision; it started with one project. But excellence has a way of building trust, and that trust led us to a total home evolution. Reliability That Weathers the Storm (and the Heat) Two years ago, Fuse installed our HVAC system. Today, as we navigate a punishing heat wave, that system isn't just "running"--it is performing with surgical precision. For us, this isn't just about comfort; it's about care. We have a senior in our home, and the ability of the Fuse-installed system to regulate temperature flawlessly provides a level of peace of mind that you cannot put a price tag on. When the world outside is scorching, our home remains a cool, consistent haven. The Great Transition of 2025 In 2025, we decided to step into the future. We tapped Fuse to retire our decades-old gas water heater in favor of a high-efficiency electric heat pump. To power our new lifestyle, we also needed to upgrade our electrical backbone from a 100A to a 200A panel. This is where Fuse truly separates themselves from the pack. Their teams didn't just work; they worked tirelessly. They orchestrated the entire symphony of the upgrade, including the complex coordination with PG&E. (A shoutout to PG&E as well for their seamless cooperation!) Fuse handled the bureaucracy and the heavy lifting, leaving us with nothing to do but watch our home modernize before our eyes. A Legacy of Safety and Sustainability Today, my home stands as a testament to what is possible. We are now fully electric. No more gas usage. No more carbon footprint from fossil fuels. No more Carbon Monoxide (CO) concerns--ever. There is a profound sense of liberation that comes with cutting the gas line. We have eliminated a silent invisible risk, replaced it with clean technology, and ensured our home is ready for the next fifty years. The Verdict If you want a company that shows up, you can call anyone. But if you want a team that works with integrity, masters the latest technology, and treats your family's safety as their own, you call Fuse. They don't just fix houses; they empower homeowners. Don't wait for your old systems to fail. Step into the future. Call Fuse. You won't just be changing your appliances; you'll be changing your life.
