The team at 1st was awesome! The owner-operator and an employee were the ones to clean our carpets and the did an amazing job. Not only were they super friendly, they took amazing care to protect our wood stairs, banisters and other wood flooring (including using protective corner covers that I wouldn't have thought to use), and did a great job cleaning the carpets. This is for 1st Resort Carpet Cleaning / Bronco Kleen (same company). After the initial cleaning I wasn't happy with the outcome. Keep reading, this has a happy ending. The guy who cleaned my carpets did more of a basic shampoo than a professional cleaning job, not really working to get spots out or do as thorough of a job as would be expected from a professional. Because of the numerous good reviews of this company, I wanted to give them ample opportunity to fix the problem and provide the professional cleaning job I wanted/needed/paid for. Fortunately the owner was very responsive and attentive and himself came to fix the problem spots (pun only sort of intended). So, if this hadn't happened then this would have been a 1 star review, but because they care enough to make their customers happy this was elevated to a 4 star review. I mention the poor first pass because I think transparency is important, you need to know that it's possible that you might get a cleaner who isn't as detail oriented and end up with a result you find unsatisfactory. If you are in a rush to get the job done then that may sway your opinion - however the chances of that happening might be quite low, and even if they do occur then the company has your back. To me, I would rather have a company that cares enough to work with you, that earns my business for years to come. Once I find a vendor that I trust and like, I give them business for many years, this is a company I feel like I can trust who cares about their customers, that counts for a lot. read more

I had seen the vehicles in my neighborhood for a few years and was on the fence about having them come over. We were out selling Girl Scout cookies so I stopped and asked him to come by for a quote. He came by and gave a very reasonable price but because it was still cold, I wasn't sure when I could have them here. I was finally able to get them out here yesterday. Let me add my house stinks. I have 3 dogs, 2 of whom are marking the house and once I realized it, they started wearing wraps. The carpet is less than 5 years old too but I think we were too late plus there has been inconsistent use when the kids got home from school. We took everything we could out so they would be able to clean. I mean good lord it smelled. My carpet still smells but it is not the fault of the guy who showed up. He thinks it's in the padding and I would agree with him. He put down tons on enzymes to help and it seems like it has a little. He was very professional and really nice. I want to make it bearable until I can replace with tile. However, he was easily able to get quite a few stains out of the carpet that was due to having kids. I mean other than the smell, the carpet looks fabulous. You might even think it was brand new. I will be having them back out here in the fall before we have to shut the windows for winter. read more

I have used these guys for about three years, but I was disappointed this year. They usually get the dirtier spots cleaned by doing extra shampooing. My living room walk areas and hallway, between the kitchen and dining area carpet, didn't get clean at all, it still looks dirty. I did call Tony to let him know I was disappointed. read more

BEST CARPET CLEANER WE'VE EVER USED. We met Tony and 1st Resort after a construction worker caused a basement flood. He and his crew were there within minutes of getting the call. After the remediation, we used Tony and his crew regularly for the next 7 years. The carpets and upholstery always looked like new. We sold the house; and, when we needed to leave our apartment, Tony said that, unfortunately, they couldn't use their equipment on the 3rd floor. I asked what spot remover they used. Not only did he tell me which one, he took time out of his busy schedule to drive some over. He refused to let me pay him for his time or the product. I was very disappointed. I have rental properties and this was a move out basement carpet cleaning. There was a dark green quarter sized stain in one of the bedrooms. The technician said he thought he may not be able to get the stain out as he didn't know what it was (nor did I). He didn't even bend down to examine it even. But I said, fine, just do what you can. I had to leave the property (the tenant was still living there so she stayed while they cleaned). I went back to the house a couple weeks later after the tenant moved out, and it looked like they had not tried at all to get the green stain out. So I sprayed it with Resolve Carpet Cleaner and scrubbed it with hot water. As you can see from the photos, I got almost all of the stain out - enough so that I didn't have to replace the carpet. They clearly did not try at all. Also, although I was charged for the stairs leading to the basement, they were still quite dirty. It looked like they had not been cleaned at all. The tenant's roommates whose bedrooms were in the basement had moved out 2 weeks before the cleaning, so there was no reason for the stairs to become dirty again if they had been cleaned. Clearly they blew the stairs off totally, or they did a very poor cleaning job on those. I will not call this company again for carpet cleaning. read more

I called this business owner about obtaining services to re-stretch existing wall-to-wall carpets in my home. Although carpet cleaning is apparently their primary business, the business owner (Tony) referred me to his carpet tech, whom I dealt with directly. The carpet tech, Mr. Guerra (Metro Services LLC), was able to arrange a visit promptly to assess the job. He also provided a quick estimate over the phone, based on some general square footage information. Mr. Guerra arrived on time and within a few minutes determined that my carpet was deteriorated to the point where stretching would not be possible. He provided some technical advice about carpet replacement and did not charge for his visit, even though my location was out of the metro area (Denver foothills). I generally don't write reviews but 1st Resort Carpet Cleaning's service was so outstanding that I felt compelled to share. Tony responded nearly immediately via Yelp with an initial quote and was very responsive as we discussed pricing and details. We agreed on an excellent price - far below what other vendors were asking for the same services. So I was very happy with the sales and planning portion of the experience. Tony arrived right on time on the day of the cleaning and was finished within 30-40 min of arrival time. Much faster than I thought it would take and the place looked outstanding. I thought I was going to lose my deposit based on the myriad of stains that my carpet has experience over the last 3 years of living in my apt. Grease stains, dirt and mud, drinks, etc. Tony was able to get all of that up out of the floor - no trace. He even was able to pretty much remove the stain from the dresser out of the floor. Furniture paint stains are notoriously hard to remove, and I think he did an excellent job - barely noticeable. My carpet looks brand new - a feat I did not thing possible. My only feedback would be that I asked the owner to go Thru the backdoor from the alley to do the job and the person helping him already unloaded the hose and ran it up on lawn already. My husband was on crutches plus the hose ran up against piano and kitchen cart with dishes on it but all was fine. It would have been appreciated if they went thru the back door like I asked but since the hose was already pulled from the truck they didn't retract and redo from alley when I mentioned. Corey serviced my carpets. He has years and years of experience and it shows because he was able to diagnose an issue we were having. We had older carpet in one room and carpet which was brand new in another area, recently replaced by insurance. Corey got the older carpet so clean that it matched the NEW carpet and you can hardly tell where the old carpet and new carpet ends. He also let me know that the oils from my dog's skin was staining my carpet. Now we can get another dog bed for the area and keep our carpet cleaner in his favorite spot. It was the first time that a carpet company gave me useful info that would help me to better maintain my carpets. I don't believe that there is another company in the metro area that could possibly do a better job! The owner Tony is amazing. He actually answers his cell phone, 90% of the time he answers when I call, which has been a number of times over the last few months, due to my unexpected rescheduling needs, need for more information, etc. When I can't get through to him immediately (they are VERY busy) he always calls me back within a couple of hours. Tony's crew (a man named Jordan who has been with him more than seven years and another crew member) arrived on time, worked quickly and efficiently, and did an outstanding job. I had not had my carpets cleaned since they were new (12-13 years ago)---I strongly recommend not making this mistake yourself, I would never wait more than a year or two again to have them cleaned, especially now that I know about 1st Resort's low rates. I never had a single question that wasn't answered immediately to my satisfaction, either by Tony or his crew. All three of them were very friendly and helpful, even with my most naive questions. Quite understandably they were not able to leave our high traffic areas as new looking as the rest of our fairly light-colored carpet, but I fully believe that they did the very best that they could do with the challenge I gave them. We added a few colorful area rugs to the high traffic areas, and now our rooms look fabulous. Some of the areas they cleaned were the original carpets in this house, which was built in the 70's! I would not hesitate to call them again, or to recommend them to a friend or family member. I found their company on another web-site on which they had outstanding reviews, but wanted to post my review on Yelp also because it is the first place I look when I'm looking for recommendations on almost anything: restaurants, hotels, service providers of any type.
