I got a call from my aunt that our daughter had a hearty breakfast and a very active playtime afterwards which resulted in her throwing up on the stairs. For a good part of the morning, I was calling around to find someone to come out to clean our staircase. My husband submitted a request on Home Advisor and Tony (the owner) was one of the first people to call us. After reviewing a couple of the reviews and his website, I gave him a call and he was very professional and insightful. He asked if the stain had been treated, told me how to treat it if it does happen again and then told me he could come out within two hours after he finished with the client he was with. Once he got to the house, he took a look at the stain and called me before he did anything to set expectations. He did an amazing job and his prices are very reasonable. We moved into a rental and the carpets needed to be cleaned. I reached out to several companies for pricing and received quotes that were all over the place. I ended up talking to Tony. Although Tony's quote was not the lowest, it was certainly reasonable. And if you keep the reputation and history of the business in mind, it was a very good quote. 1st Carpet Cleaning has cleaned my carpet twice before this last cleaning on July 17rh. There was no smell either time. I was informed that the company could not move any furniture, although the web site says they do move furniture for free. One chair was moved and was not put back from where it was moved. I was also told that the smell from the shampoo would go away. Again there was no smell the last two times that the carpet was cleaned. The smell did not go away and I called the owner and requested that the carpet be re-steamed. The owner insisted that it was not his fault and they have never had a problem with shampoo odor. The owner's employee came out July 30th and re-steamed the carpet. That did not solve the problem and there is still a smell. I had two professional carpet cleaners come in to see if the smell could be removed. They both told me that smell was in the pad and I would have to replace the carpet. After I consulted the professional carpet cleaners I sent a text and emailed the owner letting him know that the smell had not gone away after being re-steamed and relating to him what the professional carpet cleaners had told me. I also requested a refund of $119.00 which was what I was charged for his employee to shampoo my carpet. I have never heard from the owner and have not received a refund. read more

Tony responded with a quote within 15 minutes, on sort of short notice and scheduling was easy. They came right on time, early in fact but called to make sure that was all right. The results were fantastic, very clean carpeting that looks new, and even the pet odor was gone. In addition to household carpeting, the area rug they cleaned was spectacular and they told me how to better care for it! I will use them again any time I need them. Tony is the best! We had some really severe pet spots from having two puppies in two years and really needed a cleaning because we have a baby on the way. Unfortunately the stains were too set in and didn't come all the way out which we knew would probably be the case, and Tony did confirm this for us, he was a little hesitant because of it at first but we explained we wanted them cleaned at least due to the baby coming soon and he happily obliged. The smell is GONE, carpets look 100 times better and he gave us a very reasonable price AND left us with a little pet enzyme cleaner for if our dogs have future accidents! I would definitely recommend them to anyone and will use them again for sure!!! read more

Exceptional responsiveness, service, timeliness, cost. Background: I naively purchased a cream west elm sectional--and I own a dog. Finally admitting how embarrassingly gross the sofa looked, I panicked and realized it was time to call professionals. If this didn't work, re-upholster was the only option. Result: The sofa looks like when it was first purchased! WIN! Alex did an amazing job with high attention to detail, made sure I was happy with work quality, offered a second service without an annoying pitch (I agreed and added it), and he made sure to let me know about two small marks that weren't responding to the cleaning--marks so tiny, I wouldn't have noticed. At first, I had a problem with 1st Resort calling in advance of the appointment so I could get to the location where I needed the carpet cleaned and then with 1st Resort showing up at the right time for the cleaning. Those issues were handled professionally and resolved to my complete satisfaction. Tony was sincerely apologetic and made it right. We rescheduled for later the same day at a time that was satisfactory to me. Mistakes happen. What's important is that the company owns up to its mistakes and then resolves the issues; and 1st Resort did that. 1st Resort's price was very competitive; and Tony seems like a very nice person. Need to change their name to LAST RESORT!!! My house went on the MLS tonight only because my carpet was to be cleaned by these yahoos. However, after being 2 hours late getting to my house, they neglected to tell my realtor who hired them that they dont move furniture. How do you clean carpet without moving the furniture??? I have never hired a company to clean my carpet that didnt move a table or two! For that fact, I had moved what little there was out of their way and all they had to do was slide an empty 5' by 3' buffet a few feet onto the tile. I even offered to help even though I am down an arm due to shoulder surgery, but no they couldnt do that. So here I sit with an active listing that wont be able to be shown. Had to provide a receipt to my apartment complex for professional carpet cleaning upon moveout. Tony was very responsive while I was dealt no with movers and cleaners, and professional in providing an accurate estimate for service. He was even able to accommodate a last minute schedule change when my move finished earlier than anticipated. He had the carpets in 4 rooms done within an hour, and looking absolutely beautiful. The carpet looked brand new again! He even gave me some advice about dealing with pet stains in carpet for my current place. Keep an eye on these guys that they don't illegally dump the waste water down your driveway or anywhere that it will go into the storm drain. This is a huge problem for our streams and the owner, who otherwise did a great job, didn't seem to care. read more

Had my carpet cleaned before I moved any furniture into the new house. It was a super quick process and the results were very visible. Since we had no furniture, cleaning roughly 900 sf (including stairs) took about 45 minutes. It was $169, taxes and fees included, which is great because then there is no surprise. It was slightly pricier than other companies from whom I received quotes but for how easy this was, it was worth it. They didn't try to upsell me or anything. Alex just came by and did a great job cleaning up a couch I purchased ages ago. He had to take off cat hair and get off 15 years' worth of surface dirt. Did a great job and my couch looks awesome. Also had him clean a throw rug which looks as good as new. I had quoted several other places to do this work (also found them on Yelp) but I went with 1st Resort as they were the least expensive. This company is fantastic! I had them come out on short notice and Tony came out to do the job the very next day. I have an older dog who doesn't always tell us when she needs to go outside and the dining room was her 'go to' place. It was horrible. But Tony came to the rescue! He applied an enzyme to the carpet for the odors that were there (now it smells great!) and then he steam cleaned the dining room, living room and 3 stairs. It looks and smells amazing! He even left some of the enzyme for me to use when/if odors resurface. I would recommend Tony in a heartbeat - price was reasonable as well. I paid $119 for the three areas to be cleaned and enzyme application. Awesome job! read more

Could not say enough good things about these guys. I called them early in the morning in a jam (my dog had urinated on the only carpet in my entire apartment overnight) and got Tony on the phone. They couldn't fit me in same day originally, but called me back around an hour later with same day availability due to a cancellation! Another hour and a half later Jordan was at my apartment. He did a fantastic job, was incredibly polite and professional, and even worked liked a champ through a random power outage that occurred in my duplex midway through the job. This guy basically cleaned my carpet in the dark, and it looks and smells fantastic! The price is worth it for the professionalism, quality and reliability. Really great service. 1st Resort technician did a very good job in cleaning my couches and carpet. I would have given them a better rating, except: On the day they were originally scheduled (within a 2 hour window), they did not arrive. I called and spoke to Tony who was very apologetic and sounded sincere in wanting another chance, explained they had an issue with their previous job, offered to come the next day, and would 'do whatever it takes to make this right' with the price. I should have gotten him immediately to re-quote the price but he sounded very sincere in correcting the mishap and earning my business. Unfortunately when the crew got to my home the next day (on time) the person quoting the service wanted to up-charge my service by $40 for a scotch-guard coating on the carpet, which I wasn't convinced was needed. With push-back, I was able to get the job done (with scotch-guard) for the amount originally quoted - no discount for my inconvenience the day before. They did a good job but did not live up to my expectations of great service as I read on previous yelp reviews - and definitely did not live up to Tony's commitment to discount the service as he said he would. He needs to communicate better with his crews when he makes a verbal commitment with a customer. read more

We search for a carpet cleaning company with good reviews as we had two bedrooms with stains on sculpted wool carpeting. Cory from 1at Resort Carpet Cleaning was knowledgeable and did a great job. I received a courtesy call ahead when he was on the road to meet me at my home. When he arrived he was dressed professionally and all his equipment was clean. He reviewed the different types of stains I had on the carpet in the two rooms. After fully advising me on the plan to address the stains, Corey went right to work. He did a very thorough job in both rooms and I am very pleased with the results. These were stains I knew I could not remove with products available for consumers, and now they are only a memory.
