These guys are absolutely the best! I originally reviewed them last year after they helped my elderly mother with a small problem at her home. At that time we talked to them about replacing old faucets/fixtures. Now, a year later, we got them scheduled to do the work for us. They were efficient, friendly, patient with questions, were reasonably priced, and gave their honest opinions about whether she needed to replace some items. They did not try to "up-sell" her, as often happens with other companies dealing with older customers. 1st Response Plumbing was awesome! They sent Derek out to my parents home. With in 15 minutes of being there, he knew what the issue was and how to fix it. We called another plumber 2 days prior and they said my parents pipes were frozen and they needed to cut them. But that was not the case. Derek replaced one part and within in 30 seconds we had running water! He also fixed a pipe that had been crinkled by the other plumber. Which could have caused my parents more trouble down the road. Our family had a 5-star experience with 1st Response Plumbing! I was in Seattle and needed to coordinate a plumbing repair at my parent's house in Spokane. We accomplished everything from appointment to payment by text/phone. I requested they go into the house with masks (during stay-home order) and they had the protocol already in place. They sent pics and clearly communicated the issue, options and cost after assessing the problem - and they gave my parents a senior discount on the repair! Exterior hose bib leaked. We called 1st Response and they replaced. 2 years later it began leaking again. They came out and confirmed the hose bib they installed and the plumbing was faulty, so they replaced a 2nd time. 2 years later and it is leaking yet again, but they refuse to claim any further responsibility, even though it is all work they completed. Interestingly enough they claim in a response to a review below that they stand by their work. Now they claim that there is a MAXIMUM one year warranty on plumbing in WA (a simple google search shows it is a MINIMUM two year warranty). I guess we go elsewhere and take them to small claims to recover the new plumbers costs, since they clearly don't know how to do a simple plumbing job correctly. read more

I cannot recommend this contractor for any plumbing. From my experience they are a 'get the job done quick and get the money' outfit. We needed some repairs done prior to selling our house. The worst of their work left a pipe running across the corner of a downstairs window. Totally visible! I had someone who had done plumbing for years take a look and he was laughing at what they had done. It was perfectly possible to route the pipe around the window. When I called Jared the next day, after my wife sent me a picture, he was insistent there was no other way to route the pipe. I also wanted him to remove the vent stack pipe he had cut, that was now just a pipe through my roof. He said he could not repair metal roofing but he would be willing to try and it might be another $400-500. In reality all he had to do was fit a rubber boot over that pipe, probably $50 to fix. Other 'fit and finish' portions of the job were just slapped in with no regard for craftsmanship. I now have to hire a reputable contractor to fix the sloppy work. read more

Our friends had met him at the local home show and were happy with the price they paid for the instant hot water system he sold them and installed, and they recommended him to us. We still can't believe what a thief this guy was! (he quoted us 5 times what he had charged them for the same system! We believe simply because our house is nicer and he thought he could get more money out of us, but 5 times more! come on). We had hired him to come and change our washing machine water supply turn off valves. Since he was coming for that we asked for a few more things. First, he didn't bring the knobs so couldn't change the knobs for the washing machine he had been hired to do. The other work was: 1) We had him install a toilet. He honestly didn't know how to properly install a toilet, the tank is leaning forward because he tightened the bolts one at a time instead of gradually and simultaneously. Seriously, we can't put anything on the lid of the tank it is tilted so bad, it is easily 5 inches off the wall, and now it is leaking too. The toilet costs almost $700 but was not installed correctly which he charged $125 for. (My dog could have done a better job!) 2) We asked him to install a kitchen sink. He installed (only installed) a kitchen sink and charged almost $700 dollars, to add salt, he actually charged us $50 for a 'special' collar he preferred even though we had bought a high quality one from the plumbing contractors' center... his special one has his company name and phone number on it, and he charged us $50 so that every time we are at the sink we can think about what a thief he was! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS GUY. One of those guys, it was SO bad it actually is funny (but my wallet still isn't laughing!) Stay away. what a thief. Yea, we fell for he is military, with a wife and 5 kids. but his work is substandard, he is super expensive and actually double expensive because someone needs to be hired behind him to do the job right! still laughing. read more

Not very pleased with Jarrod quoted us a price, when our credit card was charged it was for $70.00 over estimate when asked about over charge he stated he never quoted us an estimate. Our rental is in Spokane Valley and we live in SC. I guess when you live out of town anything you charge is fairplay. I will not use them again nor would I recommend them. read more
