The Brooklyn pastrami with Potato Salad
    Stephen S.

Excellent service, fast and friendly. A late night treat after playing Blackjack late into the evening. Ordered the Brooklyn. Beautiful masterpiece. Potato salad is King. So good! I Can't complain . All great at the outside counter looking into the restaurant. This visit was excellent! No issues!

In the mood for a light breakfast before the poker game begins. Ordered at the front counter a toasted plain cream cheese bagel for only $3.00. Within three minutes, my order was ready in a brown paper carry bag. Went upstairs to the poker room and ate. I loved the fluffy cream cheese instead of the common thick wedge type. Very tasty for a good price.

This is located in the Seminole Coconut Creek Cadino. My go to here is the Pastami on rye. I apologize in advance for not having a picture of the sandwich. Its a little fatty (in a good way) and melt in your mouth tender. It comes with a side and a pickle. They also serve breakfast all day . The to go counter can get pretty busy. Be prepared to wait upto 30-45 minutes for your food

Came here last night for the first time after living in the area for 26 years always wanting a good Jewish deli. We ordered a bowl of matzah ball soup, potato latkes, A Brooklyn Reuben (I substituted Cole slaw and American cheese instead of Sauerkraut and Swiss), and my wife had the Chicken salad sandwich which was homemade. Both sandwiches came with fries. Everything we ordered was delicious and our waiter Selwyn was amazing. Can't wait to come back real soon for another great meal.

I tried the First Street Deli for brunch today. The restaurant is located inside the Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Coconut Creek. Although they have a smoking side and a nonsmoking side, it appears that all of the restaurants are located on the smoking side of the casino. If you are a non smoker like I am, you can still smell the smoking inside of the restaurant you eating in. The smell was definitely a turnoff to my eating the meal that I ordered. I ordered the "Breakfast Special ", which included 2 eggs cooked your way, meat (Bacon, ham or sausage),toast or a bagel and your choice of home fried or latkes (potato pancakes). I also ordered coffee and a glass of ice water. The eggs came out the way I ordered them and the bacon was fine. My onion bagel was hard as a rock and they brought me hash browns instead of the latkes I ordered. I had to track the server down to correct that item. The coffee tasted fine, but the ice water had a significantly chemical taste. After the first sip of the water, I never touched it again. My server did not stop by the table to see if everything was okay. I was half way done with my brunch when Venus (the server) finally brought the latkes to me. They were okay, but they had an over salted taste, which I helped dampen with the apple sauce accompanyment. This restaurant is supposed to be named for the First Avenue Deli in New York City. All in all this was not a positive experience. And unless you don't mind the smell of smoke while you are eating, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.

    The great Reuben I had!!

Great menu and food, just usually runs very slow! The Reuben was delicious. Free pickles if you enjoy them. Ask for Natalie for a wonderful waitress with a great positive attitude. Ambience not much but what can you expect from a casino deli?

For a deli in a casino, I love eating here it's good price and food is amazing. I didn't take a picture of my soup I ate it so quickly that was amazing their soup of the day. The burger sliders amazing. I didn't take a picture of my cheese cake either but their cheese cake so good compared to a lot of places. Must at least try the cheese cakes !!!! I would come back and I do all the time ....

    French dip

Let me just say if it wasn't that I paid $0 Or my review would be much lower. Ordered the French dip with fries to go. The casino had sent me $10 credit but somehow I also must have had other credit so didn't cost me a dime once they swiped my players card. The cashier says come back in 20 mins. I was done gambling so I hung around. There was a stack of orders that came out well before so if you wait the actual 20 your order was probably done 5-10 mins before. Picked up my order and took it back home. I will say it smelled good but once I opened it was underwhelming The roast beef was over cooked to start and a bit lacking for the costs. The provolone has no flavor. Worst of all is the bread was terrible and didn't taste fresh. The au jus was average at best. The fries I will say weren't bad and held up well on the trip and didn't get all soggy First time ordering from here, probably the last time also

I love having lunch here! They bring fresh pickles to the table for you to snack on before you get your meals. They have the best chicken salad sandwiches. Yesterday I got mine on their fresh rye bread. I added cheese and for my side I got fries. The sandwich was delicious as always. Fresh, white meat chicken perfectly seasoned. Somehow they always get the mayo / chicken ratio just perfect. The sandwiches are huge. I always take half of mine home. Can't beat the deal for less than $15 I got lunch for two days!

    Not cooked long enough, hard

Unfortunately this location continues to disappoint. Third time with ribs to go. They had once been fall-off-the-bone. Now a knife has a hard time cutting into it and cuts a peice of meat, there is no off the bone. Huge baked potatoes, last time they had none. Prior it needed cooked, it was hard, not cooked. Cookies are burnt, and they are lovely cookies. Such potential, saddens me, I can't go back after three times. The counter service is usually lacking, last time she was very kind.

A Surprisingly Good Deli inside the Seminole Casino You would not know it existed from outside the Casino. What a surprise to find a good deli inside. Service was good and courteous. The food was tasty. Scrumptious pickles were put on the table. Full deli menu to choose from. The Reubens were delicious. Prices were very reasonable. Seating is ample. The restaurant is adjacent to the casino and can only be accessed by walking through the gambling area. A good choice if you live nearby and feel like deli

The small deli/restaurant is mainly for take out, but they do have a couple tables inside. We chose to order here and eat at one of the tables. We got a chance to chat with the owner. We got a friendly welcome. She was quite sweet. When we asked, she told us that Goldy was her sister who had passed away. The restaurant was named after her. In addition to the menu on the counter, they have a blackboard with various featured items -- including soups of the day -- and specials. They use Board Head meats which you can see in the case. We both ordered their Italian sub, but I made a few changes to mine leaving out the ham and the capicola. The bread was soft and went well with all the meats, cheeses, and veggies. It was an excellent sandwich. We each ate half (the sandwich was stuffed with stuff) and took half home. We were talking about other options that they have when the owner mentioned various desserts -- including banana pudding. She mentioned that it's quite popular and sells out often, but she just happened to have some ready. This is my husband's favorite dessert. He couldn't resist getting a container of it. He took a few tastes there and devoured the rest at home. This place is definitely worth a return visit. And if you're looking for a good sub/hero/sandwich, etc. it makes a perfect lunch stop -- to eat in or to go. I'm so glad we tried them.

I think there were more folks doing takeout than dining in. We asked -- as it wasn't on the menu -- but they do offer a half sandwich and soup option. Your choices of soup are noodle, or matzah ball, or soup of the day. And you can choose any of the deli meat sandwiches. I had their matzah ball soup with a half pastrami sandwich. He had the chicken noodle with a half corned beef. The sandwiches come with a pickle slice and coleslaw. The matzah ball was light and fluffy. The soup base was flavorful. The pastrami was a bit fatty and grisly so I had to deconstruct it. The rye was soft in the center and got a tad soggy from the meat, but had a nice outer edge crust. I think I'd get the corned beef instead in the future. I gave my well marinated pickle to my husband -- I'm a half sour gal myself. But I liked the slightly sweet coleslaw. But you can expect to have a much lower bill with the same quality of food. I wasn't very hungry this morning so I ordered an everything bagel with lox cream cheese. I guess they had a busy morning because both types of lox were sold out. And I can see why because their lox spread was unbelievable. There was so much cream cheese spread I could take probably taken half of it off and brought it home. The coffee wasn't bad either considering it was the brewed pot variety. And the best part was, I didn't have to pay for refills. My total bill was a whopping $6.43. You can't even get a cup of coffee at Starbucks for that. I could tell there were a lot of locals there. The waitress was the only server in the restaurant with the young lady at the register helping to clean up. As for my order, the only thing that was right was the basted eggs. The bacon was greasy and looked like it had been deep fried. The potatoes were anything but done well. The waitress asked me if they didn't have an onion bagel, would I accept another kind of bagel ( and I agreed to have an everything bagel). Their version of an everything bagel was not what I normally get, and they put the cream cheese on the bagel. The coffee tasted of heavy grounds.
