I'm sure that location is still great but I was able to live without having to buy donuts for some years. Then came an impromptu trip to Margate since we saw there is a Dandee Donut Factory there. And Costco. Because why not. The time to eat donuts is now. We only bought donuts to go so I can't speak to the dine-in experience or food. The diner counter and tables looked fun to sit at. Their breakfast sandwiches sound amazing and I drooled a little accidentally looking at their diner menu. Did they always make bagels? I'm not that much of a Dandee connoisseur but I feel inspired to go back and try the bagels and their food food. The counter wasn't very busy when we walked in, thanks to two staff workers who were taking orders. Imagine my delight when we asked for a half dozen donuts and the gentleman staffer said we can choose 7. I will now miscount dozens from now on. I asked for the sour cream donuts because the shelf for them was empty (gasp) and he reassured me that they have more in the back to refill. We asked what the crunch part of the blueberry crunch donut was and he said the blueberries themselves have been prepared to be crunchy. We got 2 of those and they were the best bites in the whole box. The donuts were chock full of flavor of the blueberries and the crunch from them was the unexpected texture you want in a donut to cut through the dense dough. No wonder these donuts are one of their best selling ones. We got an apple fritter because it was massive, like a bear claw ate a stack of biscuits. The cinnamon and apple tastes were present but the dough was a little empty to me, so it left a lot of oil taste. Like it reminded you that all these buggers have been deep fried when you don't want to be reminded. The chocolate, double chocolate and cookies and cream donuts all used the same chocolate donut base which was a little dry to me but had nice cocoa flavor. It's strange but I ended up preferring some frosting to the chocolate donuts to have some moisture to the bite. With carb loading season coming up, I'll plan for another excursion to Margate to get a half dozen box of sour cream and blueberry crunch donuts! I mayyyy share.

The hostess greeted me with a warm smile, and the atmosphere struck a great balance: lively, comfortable, and easy to enjoy. It felt like the kind of place where you can settle in, eat well, and actually enjoy the moment. Our server, Rob, was a solid brother and absolutely nailed the recommendation. I went with the Drunken Goat on his suggestion, and he did not miss. This burger was exceptional. The lamb and beef blend brought deep, rich flavor, the honey whipped goat cheese added a smooth tang, and the purple haze raspberry jam gave it just the right sweet edge. It all came together beautifully. Every bite delivered. Rob deserves real credit for steering me toward a burger I'll be thinking about for a long time. Also loved the atmosphere once again, it's just a very nice, open place to enjoy a meal and have a drink. We got a bunch of appetizers to start. The house made Ricotta with cracked pepper and olive oil was very delicious. I also loved the crispy zucchini slices, which were topped with peppadew peppers and a chili vinaigrette. Outstanding stuff. The seared ahi tuna was next level. The fish was fresh and beautifully seated and the mix of cucumber, aji amarillo, pineapple, cilantro and wasabi cream was sensational. One of the best dishes they make at Sixty Vines. The absolute best of the bunch was the truffle fries! They were amazing. They are basically crispy layered potatoes, almost like stacks of filo dough, fried and topped with pecorino, chives and lemon truffle cream. They were so good we ordered a second one! Considering how wonderful everything was to this point, we were expecting nothing but great things for the next course. However they completely dropped the ball and basically ruined our meal with lackluster entrees. Our party ordered the steak fries with chimichurri sauce, the double cabrenet burger, and several filet mignons. The amount of time it took to get the food was unreasonable. Once the appetizers were finished we had to wait somewhere around 20 to 25 minutes to get our mains, and the place was not that busy. I assume that the waitress just forgot or was busy with something else. As for the food, the quality of the steaks was not good all around. Everybody who got the filet mignon commented that the texture was chalky and weird. They were also all overcooked. And oddly, they decided to slice the steak before serving it, so it was very dry. Why would you pre slice a steak, all that's going to do is let the juices seep out and make the temperature drop. I honestly don't get it. The steak that came with the steak fries, I think it was a skirt steak, was also not the best cut. It was super fatty and a little chewy. The fries were good though but the meat was terrible. Finally the burger was completely overdone despite the person ordering it medium rare. Overall, not the best ending to a meal that started with such amazing dishes. Really striking contrast. And actually it made me think that I probably will not go back to Sixty Vines anytime soon. For a $350 meal they have to be doing a lot better. Dried out, overcooked steaks and burgers isn't going to cut it.

The lovely hostess guided us to a booth by a window. We were greeted by our equally lovely server Jazmin (sp?). Btw, she rocks! Upon perusing the lunch menu we jumped at the deviled eggs appetizer. These beauties were two beet stained eggs cut in half topped with a spicy yolk filling and garnished with scallions, chicken skin crunch and trout roe. OH MY! My dear friend and dining companion was leaning towards a salad but we put on our thinking caps and decided that the fried chicken entree, which was accompanied by two sides and a biscuit was the best bang for our taste buds. And indeed it was. She ordered two pieces with greens and mac + cheese while I chose three pieces (thinking ahead to lunch tomorrow) plus the mac chz plus sweet potato soufflé (that was Thanksgiving babe!). The chicken was fresh out of the fryer and we had nothing but praise for the sides. To top it off...Nanner Puddin'! Just like mom made but no Jello pudding here. Amazing. Since it was a weekday, we got to meet the chef and give kudos. (He's a happy dude) I wouldn't care to come here on the weekend when it's packed but I can see why folks do. The place is enormous with a huge outside venue and a sprawling banyan tree. Plus the Sunday brunch menu is tempting. But for a chill lunch with nice employees and scrumptious food on a Thursday, we were star struck and satisfied.

I loved the aesthetic --…read morethe green and gold decor was really pretty, and surprisingly it wasn't too packed for a Sunday around 4:45 PM. I also really liked how spacious the restaurant felt. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, plus a cute outdoor bar area with stools where you can eat and hang out, which gave the place a really nice vibe. The music was a great mix of R&B and oldies too. Now let's talk service... for me, service is everything, and unfortunately that's what made this experience disappointing. Our waitress, Haley, was pretty inattentive throughout the meal. We asked for extra Caesar dressing and never got it, and it was honestly hard to get a hold of her most of the time. Because of that alone, I'd probably think twice before coming back. As for the food -- it was hit or miss. We started with the wings as an appetizer. They were flavorful, but nothing memorable. I'd probably skip them next time and try something else. I ordered the crispy Cobb salad because it sounded amazing on the menu, but it was a letdown. It was mostly lettuce with barely any chicken, and I had to mix the whole salad myself. At a restaurant, I kind of expect a Cobb salad to come already tossed together. Also... no blue cheese available? Come on now lol. My boyfriend got the fried chicken with sweet potato fries and mac & cheese. I will say, everything came out HOT, so you can tell the food is made fresh. The mac & cheese didn't look impressive at first, but it tasted SO good. The sweet potato fries were delicious too. My sister ordered the lobster pasta, and honestly the portion size shocked me in the best way. They were generous with the lobster, which almost never happens, and she loved it. My daughter got the crispy chicken sandwich and said it was the best sandwich she's ever had, so that was definitely a win. Overall, the food itself wasn't bad at all -- my salad was just a flop. If the service had been better, this review probably would've been very different. Not sure if I'd come back, but maybe on a different day with a different server.
