The monte cristo sandwich was phenomenal. My husband got a bagel egg and bacon sandwich. He was not much impressed and said the bacon wasn't very good. I got a couple of black and white cookies to go and they were pretty descent. Overall it was good, and I'll be back for the monte cristo for sure. Ambiance was typical Jewish deli/ diner. I have been going every Sunday for over one year. I take my parents there as it is close to their home . The restaurant is always crowded with elderly people many who have disabilities ( like my father) and the staff is accommodating. The staff are friendly and there is not a lot of turn over. One thing I dislike is the cup of hot tea or coffee is 3.00 dollars if ordered separately. The waitresses fail to help with cost savings by suggesting to put the drink with a meal. The prices also go up after 11:00 even if you came in at 10:30 & it took time to get served and get the check .The food is good but each time I am there my scrambled eggs are not hot and if I say something, they come back when I'm finished. In short , the fact that this restaurant has been around for years and their population is geriatric, compassion with the menu prices and changes should be explained. ( I also personally hate that the waitress and waiter call the patrons darling sweetheart rather than their name . I find this to be condescending. Old school no frills, no nonsense breakfast and lunch spot. I went with the steak and eggs and my friend just ordered some eggs with home fries. Both dishes come with choice of toast.I went with the bagel which comes with cream cheese and butter which I thought was a nice touch. Everything was cooked really well.The only thing was, my steak needed a little more seasoning.But the temperature was perfect. Went to Bagel Snack restaurant this morning. The restaurant was crowded and I had to wait about 15 minutes until a table opened up. My server Monica was extremely busy, but she came by to find out what I wanted to drink. When she came back with my coffee and a glass of water, I gave her my order. I ordered egg with bacon, potato pancakes and a toasted rye bagel. When she came back with my order, it wasn't exactly what I ordered. The eggs were fine, but there was no bacon. The potato pancakes were so salty, I couldn't eat them. The bagel was fine. When I got her attention, she got my bacon and she also brought a different potato dish. I personally do not feel comfortable giving this restaurant my recommendation, however the server Monica did a very good job. read more

When sitting down at a booth, I noticed the floors were obviously dirty, the table was chipping, and the menus provided were slightly tarnished. The food wasn't that impressive either, I ordered an omelet and cheese was $2 extra. The platter came with a bagel, which was somewhat burnt and I subbed for smoked salmon cream cheese, a $5.99 up charge. The omelet was dry and subpar. Tucked into a nondescript plaza on Powerline Road, Bagel Snack is no frills with tables and booths but what it lacks in decorations it more than makes up with the quality of food. On a weekend this place is packed with all of the transplanted northerners from nearby Palm Aire. On a rainy weekday it was easier to get a table. This is the kind of place where everyone knows everyone else. I was greeted with honey and sweetie by the lovely staff who made me feel so welcome. It wasn't long before the hot coffee was flowing into my cup and I was presented with a complimentary relish tray with two kinds of slaw and two kinds of pickles. For lunch I ordered the outstanding turkey club and fries. The sandwich was gigantic. It was more than enough for two people and I could barely put a dent in half. Of course I could not leave without some of their award winning bagels which I purchased in the deli area on my out. The Everything Bagel made the perfect late afternoon snack. Bagel Snack makes their bagels every hour by boiling them before baking them in the old fashioned way. They lived up to the hype with a chewy exterior and soft interior that grabs all of the toppings you smear on. They offer thirteen flavors which include plain, pumpernickel, cinnamon raisin, sesame, marble, poppy seed, everything in egg and whole wheat, onion, whole wheat, garlic, rye and salt. They were smothered with well-done sautéed onions. There were lots and lots of onions that were so delicious. The portions are large, so I brought most of them home. When I heated them up at home, they crisped up nicely. My scrambled eggs were good. Bacon was perfect! My bread of choice was a scooped/toasted onion bagel. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I loved my bagel. I'm a Long Island transplant, and I am very picky. The bagels here are just as good as NY. You order at the table and pay the cashier on your way out. Nothing fancy, just good food and service. I can't wait to go back. I brought home bagels, baked salmon salad, and both nova spread/veggie spread. The salmon salad was excellent, and I highly recommend it. Both of the cream cheese spreads were also very good. When you first walk into the store you see a huge assortment of bagels which are all so good and fresh. We usually get a 12 pack after we finish breakfast to take home with us. They have some awesome breakfast specials which go until 11am. My go to is the 2 eggs, home fries, and one of their signature bagels for $8.99. They have a ton of different options to choose from so there is something available for anyone. The food is always great and the service is always great too. A lot of the staff has been working their for years. After you're done with your meal you take your check up to the front to pay.
