I ordered a $600 Monte Carlo fan from this company direct. I wanted to take the option for a $9.99 extended warranty, but somehow it got "unchecked" while I was entering the payment information. After I got the order confirmation, I tried to go back and add the warranty, but it can't be edited or canceled on the website. I then tried getting through to customer service FOR THE NEXT 8 HOURS, and the virtual agent options kept haning up on me. I finally got through to a sales person, at 6 PM Eastern. Customer service was closed, though the website states they are open until 6 PM Pacific (9PM Eastern). The sales person told me that the warranty can't be added and that I would have to cancel the order with customer service in the morning. By the time they opened, the unit had "shipped" (just a shipping label folks) and the warranty could no longer be added. They kept me on hold for 20 minutes only to tell me that, using my first name like I was some teenage friend at the Mall. This company is a zero on cutomer support. I will refuse the package, wait ("up to120 days"!!!!) for my refund, and never do business with them again. read more

This should be zero star. Ordered a chandelier that said item would be delivered in 3 days or I'd receive a $25 credit. After 5 days I called to see where it was, was told warehouse "confirmed" item was shipping that day & i'd have tracking number by end of day. Nothing. And no mention of a $25 credit either. Next day I called back. Guess what I was told? They called warehouse & "confirmed" it was now shipping out that day & I'd have tracking info by end of day. Again- no update. Called back next day (today) and guess what I was told... just "confirmed " item was shipping today & i'd have tracking number by end of day. So basically, it's the go-to response & the item is never shipping. I cancelled the order, the girl I spoke with could have cared less & very attitude-ish informed me there are "disclaimers" all over the website that protect them from ever guaranteeing ship dates. She also kept saying they have no control over "backordered" items. This item always showed in stock & I was never told it was on backorder-only that it was magically shipping every day I called-to which it never was. I'm super sad b/c it was a pretty chandelier but I'm never receiving it, they couldn't care less, never apologized, and acted like I was stupid b/c somewhere buried on their site I should know better than to believe what they tell me for a shipping date b/c of their disclaimers. So dishonest, no accountability. I'll just order it from Horchow where at least I know Nieman Marcus would never allow such poor service - and at least they're always accountable. Waste. Of. Time. Multiple messages via email, chat and over the phone that went from "item in stock" to "24-48 hours" to "No updates." They won't allow me to cancel my order!! Shame on me for not coming here first to do my due diligence, shame on them as poor customer service with the same tired responses seem to be their normal. Now here we are 16days days later after chasing phone called a no return calls from multiple employees from 1StopLighting aka Belami eCommerce and then they finally send me return labels and tell me to ship them back. Customer service started out well but then clearly fell off when they realized how much of a mistake the cost would be to rectify my order with the correct ceiling fans. They never sent us a return label like they said they would so we paid for our own and sent it to the return address that was on the email that they sent us. They received the package (according to the tracking number) and never sent us our refund. One month later they finally send us the return label but we already returned the merchandise. Three lights were ordered from this company for our kitchen. A hanging pendant, hanging chandelier and flush-mount. The person I spoke with on the phone was very helpful and professional (Chris was his name). All lights arrived quickly, however, upon unboxing, the electrician discovered one of the six glass covers of the chandelier was broken. I called and spoke with the very same professional gentleman named Chris. Without any questions, he assured me a new glass replacement cover would be shipped. He processed the order and within 2-3 minutes, I received an email confirmation of that order. This is how business should be conducted. Hats off to Chris and this company. Ordered 15 lights for around my house and hardscape. Was not cheap. Took weeks to show up. When they did, could not start install right away (can't time that) and could not get them all up in time to ensure everything worked. In addition to it just being a big job to change out all the lights (restucco needed, doesn't come with everything needed for post lights), the lights all came with frosted glass already installed on the lights. All the pics on the website show clear glass. It took my husband 20 minutes to change out the glass on each light and cut his hand as the glass had super sharp edges. We contacted the company about this and never got a response back. When we got to the last two lights we were installing, they didn't fit in the space by 1/4 inch. After getting lights that were not advertised and having to change out all the glass AND calling and emailing within 30 days from the date of delivery but not hearing back, the company would NOT exchange the lights for the next smaller size. Wasn't even looking for a refund. Didn't even care if we got the amount difference back. Just wanted lights that would work. I find that to be terrible customer service. I am now going to sell them to someone else and purchased the lights needed from lightingnewyork.com that has been awesome to work with. read more

We did have a glass breakage issue with two fixtures and Chris handled my glass replacement request courteously and efficiently...the replacement glass came shortly after my request. Ordered a heater from them and 3 weeks later, nothing. They processed my first payment and it showed on my credit card statement, but for some reason they couldn't see it in their system. So, they advised I open a dispute with my CC company, which I did, and then place a separate order. They charged my CC again and said they see it in their system, but the product hasn't shipped a week later and there's no zero communication, this is despite the fact their website says they ship within 24 hours. Two and a half months ago, I placed an order for some ceiling fans. One came, the others did not. A little over a month ago, I called to see where the remaining ceiling fans were. I was told that they had arrived at the warehouse damaged, so they were sent back (no call from anyone to tell me this. I had to call and inquire to get the information.) Yesterday, I sat on chat for over an hour trying to get someone to tell me where the ceiling fans were. I would give this place negative stars if I could. Their inventory status listed on the website is totally inaccurate. I ordered some lights and their website said they were in stock and would ship in 24-48 hours. I waited a week and now it says my items will ship in 19 business days. I went back to the website and the same lights I ordered still say they are in stock and will ship in 24-48 hours. I checked with the vendor that builds they lights and they said that the product I ordered is on backorder and would not be available anytime soon. I then called 1STOPLighting customer service and you have to wait forever to talk to someone. Conveniently for them you can get in touch with sales right away but they couldn't help me return the lights. At this point I tempted to just dispute the charge on my card. I am embarrassed to admit I ordered something on Amazon without reading the return policy first. My husband installed a light, and when I got home I was not happy with it. Once installed, there are no returns to 1stoplighting. I was so distressed because I couldn't afford another one, but when I emailed the company and Amazon stating my dismay that I couldn't return it, I was contacted by a gentleman named Erik Andersen who graciously agreed to make an exception for me. He was so polite, so helpful and so willing to have my business in the future that he was willing to refund my money. I am extremely grateful! (And I learned a lesson about reading return policies). DO NOT RISK IT! Run. Now. The lights got here quick, and that's about the only positive I can come up with. I have been contacting their customer service department for 30 days, by phone and email, to get a return authorization. I have not gotten a call back or an email, nothing. Even after doing an online return request, not one peep. I finally (after 30 days) called their SALES department and got someone to help me, but she would only help me after explaining what I have been through. I got my return auth, but was told I have to pay the shipping cost and 'may have to pay a restocking fee.' I'm actually worried that once the lights leave my house they won't even know if they received them or not -- it's been that bad. They blame Covid, of course, but, a solid month with no correspondence; not even a 'Hey we're working on it' email? If they're that busy they need to hire more people. If you can buy the lights you're looking at somewhere else, go there. Trust me. Most lights are available from more than one dealer, and most cover shipping costs & have no restocking fees. I purchased 3 vanity lights in Jan 2018. I received 2 with no explanation of where the third light was. One of the lights received had a glass globe that didn't fit. Had to order another globe which was delivered in a week. I had to contact them still waiting for the third fixture. I was told February, in February I was told March. In March I was told April, in April I was told May. Now in May I am told June. My bathroom is unfinished now going on six months! Have wires hanging out of the wall. I was given production issues in China as an explanation. This is totally unacceptable. So apparently this is the only means by which a person can get a response from the customer service department at 1StopLighting, so here I go singing the same song as the other DISSATISFIED and IGNORED customers. I ordered a 60" downrod (order# 858660). On 6/26/20 I received the wrong downrod. I ordered polished chrome, they sent me bronze. Easy fix right??? just call customer service and ask them to exchange it for the correct item...That would make sense if you're dealing with a professionally functioning business that actually cares about their reputation and their customers. 1STOPLIGHTING is no such company! I have pursued every means instructed by their website and customer service call line to simply get a return authorization code so I can return the item...I would not dare try to reorder from them. But I can not get ANY RESPONSE. When I call ( and like the other reviewers I've spent HOURS UPON HOURS on hold), I enter any number that I think someone would answer. On two separate occasions, both of the employees that answered could care less about helping me get any resolution, no matter how desperate I expressed that I am to get help. They just placed me back on hold to wait for hours longer. This place is the WORST!!!!!!!!!!!! Ordered online an ATG flat panel 40w for my office 05/19/20. It is still not here!!! Called, emailed and texted their ecommerce shipping re and still nothing. It appears they don't actually stock what they sell which means shipping times are probably not as fast as advertised. I ordered 2 lights, paid for the lights and about a week later received an email stating they did not have the product and couldn't get it. They refunded my payment and gave me a discount code, which was nice, but I needed those specific lights to complete the project. I bought pendant lights from here. They came in and were way too big for the space. Decided to return them to get the smaller size. This company apparently does not give free shipping on returns. I wasn't happy about that as My plan was to repurchase through them and let Patricia, the customer service rep for returns, know that. I place an order on Nov. 28, 2020. After one week, I realized I never received my shipping/tracking information. I entered my information on their website to see the order status and it said, "order not found." I then emailed customer service asking for an update. Silence. Therefore, today I called. I was told by customer service that my order was marked as "fraud" but she could not tell me why. Two hours later, I was called back by a "supervisor" stating I used a "fraudulent credit card". However, this card is NOT fraudulent. I am holding it in my hand right now and have used it dozens of times since this order with NO issues. They then refused to re-take my order. at all! I am now out a product that was needed before Christmas, and have to shop around (wasting time and spending more money) for something that could have been resolved if they had called me after my order was placed to resolve this issue. Follow up: Was called back and they decided to "re-run" my credit card. It went through fine (same credit card!) Therefore, the problem was obviously on their end. Was shorted two of 3 Eye Hook Loops which connect to each end of three rods which then to hook to main light ring. I reported it this past Monday, Feb 29th. Talked with Matt. 1. Received email Monday that I'd receive notice within 1-3 days when parts would ship, however, No Response/Follow up! 2. Emailed sales@1stoplighting Wednesday, Jan 31st and again received no response. - No Response/Follow up! 3. Called yesterday, Friday Feb 2nd, spoke with Liz who promised part would most likely ship yesterday. And she also promised a follow up call or email update yesterday, however, once again - No Response/Follow up! A very consistent pattern of - No Response/Follow up! Liz did arrange a $25 credit back to my cc for which I did see, (thank you for that), but my dining room ceiling is exposed with unsightly wires hanging out from critical missing parts. Would gladly trade $25 back for notification parts have shipped! Well over one week has passed and can't even get info when/ if missing parts will ship! Very Poor Customer Service!
