The only reason this is a 2 star review instead of a single star is because of the retail staff; they're always friendly and accommodating, greeting you the moment you walk through the door and chatting kindly as they check you out. The pharmacy staff, however, needs a serious course in customer service and dealing with the public. If my health plan didn't mandate that I use Walgreens, I would've changed pharmacies a long time ago. I've had multiple, MULTIPLE negative interactions with pharmacy staff, specifically pharmacy technicians, both in the capacity of patient and as a prescriber. When I have called in new prescriptions for patients, I've utilized the prescriber voicemail, which is great. But heaven forbid you need to speak directly with the poor overworked pharmacists, because you'll be waiting for quite some time. They obviously work incredibly hard to keep up. From a patient perspective, picking up my own scripts is an ordeal that is inevitably faaaarrrr more complicated than it should be. Despite having savings cards on file for all my pricey brand-name prescriptions, the pharmacy tech rudely announces the incorrect price each and every time; when I kindly point out that I have savings cards, I'm told that either 1. I'm wrong & there's no card on file (to which I pull out the card so they can yet again verify the info) or 2. They've already run the savings card price (which they haven't, as I know exactly how much my scripts cost). I'm a firm believer in respect, especially to those in service-type industries, but it's all I can do to be kind to the often incredibly rude techs who check me out at the pharmacy. I've had eyes rolled at me and I've been condescended multiple times; customer service is absolutely horrendous at this location. One instance upset me so much that I broke my cardinal rule (never identify yourself as a healthcare provider in public) and told the pharmacy technician that I was an NP, so she didn't have to demean me explaining how prescription savings cards work. If you need a quick birthday card, diet coke, or bag of gummy bears, this is your place. If you expect your pharmacy staff to provide acceptable customer service, run far away!

She informed me she would do her best. I sat in the picture chair. She helped me in between customers. I was in there for about 25 minutes to get a picture that should take less than five minutes. But she did try. My wife left work early to get hers done a few days later. The employee working the front informed her they weren't going to do it because they were too busy. She went to CVS and they did it no problem. Apparently Walgreens don't employ enough people. They need to advertise passport photos are contingent upon their ability to do so at the time.

She could've walked right by, but she was stopped to chat for a few seconds. I found what I needed, it took a while because the eyecare section was not marked very well unless you walked all the way to the back of the store. Otherwise, they had a good selection and lots of discounted prices for specific products. When I went to the counter, the girl behind the counter was on the phone through an earpiece and continually talked to them during my entire transaction - every once in a while she would say something to me, though I had to decipher whether she was talking to me or the person on the phone, didn't feel very welcome and didn't get a thank you for coming or I have a nice day or anything like that. Went in today to try again and they had put my medicine back on the shelf. When I explained to them the situation the rep as the window got a major attitude and kept repeating "our hours are 9-5." Wouldn't elaborate, wouldn't say anything but that when I asked them to pull it now. This was at 4:30 btw so again, well within their hours. I can't even get them to transfer the script to a proper pharmacy so now I have to go to my doctor and get them to send it elsewhere. This place has always had an understaffed pharmacy but this has become too much. I don't take this stuff for fun, I need it to live my life, and Walgreens clearly couldn't care less. Not only have they lost a pharmacy customer today but I'm done coming here for convenience items as well. When trying to explain my…read more2.5 year experiences of getting the same specialty drug (specialty implies ordered from specialty pharmacy that is shipped to the store, nothing major) and then needing to ask more questions, he hung up on me. I was told my drug was there at the store (phone message left by a pharmacist) and then when my family member went to get it the family member was told it was not there. He said he has "20 years of experience and knows everything" but clearly has no customer service skills. I would suggest not going to this location if you have to deal with Ed. He is confrontational when you are just trying to explain the issues. After he hung up, I tried to call back to get his name as he did not even introduce himself as the pharmacist the first time he answered the phone . He put me on hold for 30 minutes after I tried to call back to get my questions answers and then was again rude. I will be pulling all of my medications from this location and would advise not going here. I had no problems for 4 years of getting medications at this location but Ed is clearly not fit to be in his position with how he speaks to customers. I also reported him to Walgreens and will be talking to the store manager tomorrow. Ed needs to go back to school for customer service 101. I will say there is normally a really kind, young pharmacist there who was very helpful when I started a medication and it's a shame I was stuck with someone so disrespectful today. I work in health care so I understand stress but wow Ed should not be interacting with anyone if he speaks to people daily. He was very emotional. I honestly hope he gets some help!
