Avoid Rejuve Aveda if you value transparency and consistent service. I was charged a $10 fee for leaving with wet hair after refusing to pay an additional $40 for drying. This charge was not disclosed until checkout. The supervisor refused to refund this fee and I was told it's for the "stylist's time," yet barber cuts include a full finish (wash, dry, style) at no extra cost. Even more concerning, you cannot book highlights as a standalone service online. The system requires you to bundle it with a haircut or another service in order to schedule an appointment. This limits flexibility and feels like mandatory upselling rather than optional add-ons clearly presented upfront. Highlights alone run around $200 and that's before surprise fees. The pricing feels deceptive. If you're okay with hidden charges and mandatory add-ons, go ahead. Otherwise, take your business somewhere that respects your time and wallet. read more

I got my haircut here about a week and a half ago (4/5) and I will not go back. It was honestly one of the worst haircuts I have had in years. I asked for 2-3 inches off and she cut at least 4 off. I was reluctant to get any layering because I have had bad experiences where the top layer sat heavy and gave a mushroom effect look to my hair. She assured me that would not happen. It totally did. I had a thick shelf on the top layer because it was not thinned out properly. I have a cosmetology license and own thinning shears and I was able to make it look ok myself. I also asked her to touch up my ends with a large barrel curly iron, she disregarded how I wanted it styled and insisted on round brushing (a style which I have never been fond of on myself). the cost for the cut came to $86 with tip. I can't afford to get my hair cut very often since a salon like this is so expensive and now I have to live with a wonky haircut for another six months. I have not had such an unpleasant experience like this in such a high end salon ever and I definitely won't be spending my money at Rejuve next time. read more

Just moved to Indy and scheduled a H/C here with Megan. I had no idea what to expect, but I just want to say that this might be the best experience I have ever had at a salon. Everyone was very nice from the moment I walked in, checking me in and asking if I would like something to drink. Megan was so nice and very knowledgeable. $300 for a bad haircut and balayage!!! I only color/cut my hair once in a blue moon so I wanted to splurge on a nice color/cut. I recently chopped my hair to my shoulders, so I specifically told the stylist that I only needed my hair angled, layered, and colored. I showed her pictures and she acted like she knew what she was doing.... She began cutting 5 inches of the length, when I realized how much she was cutting it was too late. I was in shock but tried to trust the process. While coloring my hair, she mentioned adding color/gloss, which I didn't ask for but apparently was an added cost. The whole process took 3 hours. My hair did not look close to the picture I showed her! I walked out of the salon with a chin length bob (not angled) and the same color I walked in with... minus $300 dollars.... Super disappointed! Now I have to figure out how to cover up the horrible cut until it grows out enough to fix. I want to point out the stylist I had was kind but very INEXPERIENCED! read more

Well I love Aveda products but they do not seem to have any diversity so I will be concerned that they will be uncomfortable doing my hair I've had my hair done there before I'd like the color but not the style they didn't know how to straighten textured hair and I would think that would be important to a salon owner so I'm not saying I wont visit there because I do enjoy the products and I love the coloring system but it's unfortunate that I come there and then I have to go home and curl my my own hair read more

I am really disappointed and honestly sad to be writing this review. I have had great experiences here previously - as have friends and family - but I have to warn others of the very bad experience I had and worse customer service afterwards. I booked long balayage (long per the guidelines on the website) and called before hand to make sure this could be done to my hair after having colored and cut 4 months ago - at the same salon. The person on the phone looked up my details and said "definitely, no problem." I told the stylist my only goal was to cover the grays in a way that didn't need to be maintained so frequently. I showed her my inspiration photo, she said "no problem." She asked if I wanted a trim and I said definitely not. She got started and I was confused by her technique of putting big chunks of lightener in my hair. She continued the process and had done the back and part of one side when I suddenly felt my neck get very hot and saw my hair smoking in the mirror. I asked if this was normal - she said it sometimes happens because of metals and took me to the rinser after taking the plastic wrap off. She rinsed my hair quickly then went to get a manager and another stylist "to see what needed to be done." I sat nervously with my hair in the bowl and a manager came over and said "this has been happening somewhat often lately" and blamed "at-home hair products." She told the stylist - while they stood and discussed over me - she should do a detox shampoo then try to wet paint the parts she hadn't done yet and then do some other thing (a gloss, I believe) to blend the front with the back. When I asked the stylist if the front was going to match the back she said oh of course. And I said will my grays be covered (reminding her that was my main goal)? She said yes of course. So then she mixed some things up and came back a while later, put the mixtures on my hair and I sat there for another 15 minutes. Back at the chair, she grabbed her scissors and cut a 5 inch chunk off the back, saying it had to be done because of the damage. I was stunned at the chunk of hair on the floor. There was none of my initial color, it was an orange/yellow chunk as if she had dip dyed it. I lost probably 7 inches total and ended up with a layered haircut. She said afterwards she took the liberty of adding layers because I had mentioned I loved my previous cut (what I said was that I loved my cut because of the curtain bangs specifically, it was only very slightly layered.) Then when she started to dry it, I saw zero difference in the front with the color and could still see my grays. She finished drying and showed me the back - which was just a chunk of orange blonde at the bottom. Nothing like my inspiration photo. Over at the 'store' area, she told me I needed certain products and that she'd give me samples of others to try. At the counter, the total I was given made my eyes pop. I asked are you sure? Can I see an itemized? I was told no, this is correct - we will email a receipt. Then she asked me what I wanted to tip. It was such an uncomfortable situation. I said 25 and she said Great! And then said...wait, $25 or 25%? I said dollars and she very judgmentally said "oh." I thought to myself, does this receptionist realize that I just had my hair burned off, cut in half and now you're charging me more than I agreed to in the first place?! I was too stunned and uncomfortable to speak up. When I got my receipt via email an hour later, I was shocked. They charged me for extra long balayage (based on 'last time' when my hair was 4 inches longer) and charged me for the extra product they had to use. I told them this was unacceptable and I asked for at least a partial refund, less the tip and the product I bought from the store area. I will attach photos of the color botch job as well as the back and forth correspondence with someone from the salon who hasn't identified themselves by name. They haven't taken any responsibility or apologized, they refuse to offer any compensation, and they haven't offered to fix it. Avoid this place. read more

Came in for a facial and had an awesome experience! Sarah was my esthetician and she was very personable and you could definitely tell skincare and Aveda are her passions. We discussed some of my problem areas and she mentioned several Aveda products that work on this areas and she shared the ingredients in those plant-based products that make them effective at addressing certain skin issues. She definitely knew her stuff and I opted for an intense hydration facial because this winter has been brutal. My skin was dewy and felt incredible! I was greeted after my facial with a glass of Aveda's hot tea (which I love) and Sarah pointed out the products we discussed just in case I was interested in trying them at home and with a no pressure approach she took me to check out. Suzy is fantastic! The blinding sun coming through the windows is NOT fantastic. Nor is the front door that randomly blows open for no reason. These issues could easily be fixed with a new door, and some semi-opaque blinds. However, it doesn't seem like these things are important to ownership...just the bottom line. Scheduled a massage as I was gifted a Spa Gift card. Received multiple reminders of appt--good point here. Knowing I hadn't been to Rejuve in over 5 years I expected a waiver or release would be needed. Nothing via email, so I figured I should arrive a little early to do my part in keeping their day on time. I arrived at 8:50am. Salon opens at 9am. Not a problem, but again I worry about throwing off their time OR limiting my 60 minute massage due to paperwork. The place was completely dark. The receptionist arrived and opened the door a bit after 9, and I asked about paperwork. She'd get back to me and continued to turn on lights around the salon. She then told me my massage therapist was running late (caught in traffic) which is also fine, as I expect I need to sign off on something anyway. So I am sitting and waiting. About 9:20 receptionist provides papers and before I complete the first page, the therapist is there. So we are about 25 min behind schedule as I am in massage room. It wasn't a huge deal to my life to be running behind, but I hope there wasn't another person scheduled after me! Massage was ok. I get massages once a month at another location. I occasionally get them other places as gifts from family (such in this case). The massage alone I would rate a 3/5. No bolster for legs to help flatten low back. Awkward request to have a towel wrap around me (yet open from the back) Getting on the table and under the blankets while keeping this towel wrapped backwards was a little challenging. Therapist's pants smelled like an ashtray (while laying on my belly with nose through cradle and her up at top). The oil smelled good and felt wonderful on my skin the remainder of the day though. Checking out was fine--I thought their might be an issue with the gift card, but no. I was allowed to leave a cash tip for my therapist and I left more than 20% even though the service wasn't that great. I noticed no note went into the envelope with her name, might have been nice for her to know where the cash came from? **Nails and hair might be different at this salon. Extremely disappointed with service. I took recommendations from stylist. She had previously done my hair twice. My hair looks awful. Highlights are awful and color is dull. I told her after my service I was unhappy. She offered to try and fix it later in the week. After I left the salon my follow up appointment was canceled and I received a text from the receptionist stating they didn't want to fix my hair and put the integrity of my hair in jeopardy. Too late for that! Management clearly doesn't care if they can't call themselves. Do not go here! Updated: Manager called me after reading review. Spent time making my hair presentable. She touched up my roots, deep conditioned my hair, did a scalp treatment and trimmed my hair again. My hair isn't what I wanted, but at least now I'm not completely embarrassed by it. I had a great relaxing experience at Rejuve Salon. They were busy too! I was surprised by the amount of people there on a Thursday afternoon. I booked my appointment online the day before. Their online booking system is really user friendly- just choose your service, date, time, and stylist. You can see your stylist options for that service and time along with the price you will pay. They will also send you an email confirmation and text reminders if you opt-in. I got a women's haircut which comes with a complimentary hand massage or facial, along with shampoo and conditioner of course. I chose a facial and would choose that again and again. So relaxing! I really enjoyed talking to my stylist, Amanda. She did a great job! I don't know how she stayed so focused on my hair when we held a conversation the entire time. I would make an appointment with her again. Overall this salon made it really easy for me to book my appointment online (last minute too) and enjoy my experience. read more
