okay, i am almost too afraid to write this review, as the businesses that provide Handyman services…read morein this town, are highly unresponsive, and certainly act as if they are doing YOU a favor, by even taking your call. it must be nice to have so much business that you can treat potential new customer so poorly. anyhow, Cesar, the owner of CMR, returned ,my e-mail in less than six hours with a phone call asking what he could do for me. he came to the house two days later and returned a bid less than two days later. amazing service for what has been my experience. yes there was a scheduling issue, that was his fault, but he took 10% off the final bill, to make up for that. so how was the work? the crew arrived right at 9 AM as they said they would and tore apart our shower, as we were afraid it was leaking. Cesar showed me that the drain pan was rusting out, and there was no water damage under the shower floor. he returned the next day and completed the work, and actually put things back together better than the original builders. the bill was more than reasonable and we are quite pleased with the courtesy that was shown to us, the manner in which they left the bathroom when they finished, both for the day and the task itself, it was IMMACULATE, no clean-up left for us to do. although i hate to do it, i would recommend Cesar and his crew to any homeowner like me, who lacks the necessary skills to do much more than changing a light-bulb. all in all, we will be calling them again, when we need more work done around the house.

Apprentice's work had to be re-done and we were charged anyway. We now have to run an extension cord to the other side of our living room because the only outlet we had over there was never reconnected. Although we informed the Volt Pro owner of this, he will not fix it. Apprentice came out to fix some things but told us he was only allowed to work on the "fixes" for an hour and he could not get to the outlet during that time.

It was quite shocking, but he said that sadly he sees this all the time. His emergency rate was more than fair, he is a fantastic tech, and good conversation as well. We would not hesitate to call Matt again. Nice, genuine business owner. Note to homeowners who carry maintenance plans with HVAC companies. Check the fine print on your membership inspection points. Ask them directly if they are inspecting or cleaning the evaporative coils, checking evaporative drain pan, checking evaporative drain pipes, and cleaning the blower assembly. If these services are not included in your maintenance plan, change companies. These components are critical to furnace/AC health. Our entire emergency situation was caused because our normal HVAC company was not inspecting our evaporative coil components and a clog built up over years, causing our drip pan to overflow and water leak all over our basement. Our normal HVAC company never even opened the door on the furnace where the evaporative components are located.

Needless to say, my tenant in CO (I'm in NY) was quite frustrated. By 11:30am Matthew had responded to my call and confirmed a plan forward, despite being booked all day. By Saturday afternoon, the furnace was fixed and all was well. Matthew provided concerns about the almost-20-year-old furnace, and made sure I wanted to pay for the quick fix that Saturday, knowing I'd have to replace additional, larger parts sooner than later. Truly a Great Company…read more I want to begin by saying the owner, Kevin and all his employees are great people. They are straight shooters and always take the time to explain things to you. We first used them around 2016-17 and will not look to anyone else because of the outstanding service we have gotten from EcoTreck since the first time. I encourage you to read on because there are multiple reasons why we went with EcoTreck and it would be of benefit to know what they are. 1- It all began when my wife ended up with fungal pneumonia. We were told how rare this is and I immediately started looking for someone to help with mold issues that may have caused this issue. 2- As I searched for help, I found there's not a lot to choose from. I called companies near us and in the surrounding area. Of all the companies I contacted EcoTreck was one of only two who actually called back. 3- The first company whocalled ended up quoting us an astronomical figure with no actual reasons why we needed their prescribed work. But, thankfully EcoTreck was out the next day to go above and beyond in the form of explanation of the work needed to remedy the issues that may have created my wife's health problem as well as providing us with a quote that was far easier to swallow- not to mention having the entire process explained to me. 4- The other company was of little help of explanation as to why we needed certain things. I was left guessing and researching. Plus they required we set up a crew of four guys in a hotel while they completed the work EcoTreck did in far less time than the other company wanted. Having EcoTreck here in Steamboat is perfect. 5- As noted, EcoTreck was there for all I didn't get from the first company. I'm not exaggerating this, but the owner, Kevin did far more work inspecting our place than the other guys, not to mention he willingly took time to explain our issues and why they needed to be remedied. . 6- EcoTreck even offered us options for materials used and let me know the differences between those options in materials as well as methods of remediation. Needless to say I was quite impressed on many fronts. 7- EcoTreck makes sure you're happy. They do their work within a reasonable timeframe, they keep things clean even when the work they are doing is very dirty, they take the time to answer questions and make sure you know what and why they are doing things, they are to put it simply just a great company. 8- The EcoTreck crew is full of kindness, humor, consideration for the client, an outstanding work ethic, and they are just plain straight shooters who are out to do great work and at the same time prove to you that you can and should be comfortable working with them. I can really only tell you how happy I am in finding this amazing company, but I feel I can say that if your experience is anywhere close to mine, you will be more than happy yourself. It's obvious why we went with EcoTreck for the above reasons, but from day one, Kevin and his crew have been here for us to help tweak things as needed.
