Visited 2FOGs recently, and really had a nice time. Service was pretty good, no complaints there. For food, I chose to get the Tuskers burger and it was super unique and delicious. Nice craft beer menu, but deducting a star because paying 8-10$ for one craft beer was pretty crazy. Two beers ended up costing more than the food. The restaurant itself had a cool, old fashioned feel to it, so overall I would recommend this place, just wish the beers were a little cheaper. read more

This is a nice place to throw into the usual "out to eat" mix. We've never been disappointed by the food, and although nothing has been standout enough to keep coming back for specifically, their general pub food quality is good and satisfying. Having lived in a country with actual pubs for many years, this place does a decent job of re-creating that ambiance, although does function in food and beverages more like an American sports bar. Being in the basement creates a darkish but cozy sort of atmosphere like a pub, but the food offerings have the sort of modern twists and the beverages have the imagination of the sports bar/restaurant scene. Food is hot and generally good when it comes out, the drinks are tasty and on the middle of the spectrum where alcohol is concerned (not watered down, not jet fuel). Service is fine, although often I've felt like the stations are located a little oddly so servers end up accidentally making a lot of eye contact when just doing random other tasks. TVs also seem to be placed in there as an afterthought rather than strategically placed for people to actually catch sports on them if they want. Me and my fiancé just ate dinner for the first time at 2 fogs tonight. The service was great but the food was horrible. I got the beef stroganoff and it tasted like boiled noodles covered in a can of cream of mushroom soup. It was bland and was absolutely not worth $24.00......?! My fiancé got a blackened chicken ceaser salad. The chicken was caked with blackened seasoning so much it was not edible. We ended up getting the bill and paying. We will not be returning. I'm so glad this place is able to operate given the harsh restrictions on restaurants in Michigan. I recently traveled to Michigan to spend Christmas with my family (don't worry, received a negative covid test prior). On the last day of our trip we were really itching to eat outside of the house. 2 FOG's was having an outdoor brunch so we made a reservation and went! The tent is set up nicely behind the concrete wall so it helps block the cold wind. The tables are spaced out safely and it's an amazing place to grab a bite and feel a sense of normalcy. I went with the fried chicken pancake. It was delicious and a really fun twist on fried chicken! The batter was delicious and cooked perfectly. The drizzle of syrup added the perfect sweetness and it was served over pancakes! I also had the Big Sleep Bloody Mary. That was a meal in itself! It came topped with a mozzarella stick, chicken wing, jalapeño popper, and pickle! It was fun and delicious. We had a great time even if we had to dine outdoors in the middle of winter. I can't wait to return again soon on my next visit to Michigan! read more

First time eating here. The parking is not great and of course we picked a rainy night. It on the corner but you have to go in from the back and the steps were a bit steep so if someone is already tipsy when they get there that's a hazard It's in the basement. It small in the bar area where we sat and a little dark so out comes the cell phone for light to read the menu. There's ONE bathroom. The bruschetta was delicious as well as my mushroom risotto. I added shrimp. The surf and turf my husband had was also good. They have some specialty drinks and those were good as well It's a bit pricey. $108 for two of us and I only had one drink and my husband had two. Went for lunch and although the service and outdoor seating was nice the tusker burger left a little to be desired. We were asked how we wanted it cooked and asked for medium but it unfortunately came out well done and was a bit dry. The regular and sweet potato fries were good though. They were crunchy on the outside and soft in the inside. Place has potential but for the prices, I'd expect more. The sliders were also just ok. read more

I can't explain enough how terrible the service is here after the change in ownership. Such a shame because it is a cool place but after 3 chances we won't come back. We sat for a long time with our napkins on our plates trying to make eye contact AT THE BAR with any member of staff to pay our bill after sitting empty for awhile too. Over priced food with bad service! I came in today for a lunch at around 12:30pm and there was hardly anybody in the place. I decided on the crispy chicken sandwich from the "chefs choice" specials menu which was $18 before the option of adding fries to the meal. In my opinion was over priced from the start but I wasn't paying so I didn't mind. The food took atleast 20-25 minutes to arrive while hardly anybody was in the place. Once the food arrived and I took the first bite I realized this was the driest most inedible piece of chicken I've ever had the displeasure of being served. I didn't even know it was possible to make chicken so bad and for 18 dollars?! That's criminal! This chicken was so bad it tasted like it was chicken jerky! I could hardly even chew it because of how dry and chewy it is. It was almost as if it was cooked in a food dehydrator. Server asked how the food was and if we needed anything and I requested a side of ranch. That didn't make it's way to the table either until 10-15 minutes after I ordered it and my food was almost gone however I could not manage to choke down that entire awful sandwich. Had I not been on a short lunch break I would have complained in person. And of course to top it off we had to wait around another 15-20 minutes after completing our meal just to pay the bill since the server only appeared twice after delivering the food. Over all I will never come back to this place. Average meal price is about 20-25 dollars and for what?! Literally NOTHING about any of the food in this place that I saw is deserving of those prices and you all should be ashamed!! read more

Great service even though we were on the outside patio. The waitress had soooo much walking on a steep staircase! (The PUB is in the basement) It was our 48th wedding anniversary and the combination of of food and service was GREAT! Tasty pasta dish! Served with garlic toast. Quick friendly service. A bit difficult to find for a non-local. Lg sign on the main street but when looking closely it says alley. I walked around behind the building and found another sign. Down steps to a basement level pub. Very unique approach for a downtown pub. Didn't see any recent menus when I looked for a local favorite do I asked for a menu to update selections and pricing. Generous serving. Menu says beef is cooked to order. 2FOG's Pub pleasantly surprised me. I didn't know what to expect, and was not really into the whole parking situation, either. Initially, it was a little hard to find, but Google Maps led us around the building to the entrance. The chicken tenders were huge! They were also well-seasoned, which is not always the case with your standard fried bar food. We had a carryout order, and they were pretty soggy just a few minutes after pickup, but I understand how that could be tough to manage. I was craving spinach and artichoke dip, which was honestly just ok. It looked better in some other pictures on here; it was a little heavy on the spinach ratio and not as creamy as I would have liked. Not bad, though. 2FOG's is definitely on the list to check out again, and will have to dine in sometime in the future to get the full ambiance. read more

We heard this would be a good place to go, it clearly was NOT. Most dishes were bland. For example, steak quality was mediocre, chicken dry, and worst of all their French fries were inedible as they were obviously made in old used frying oil. I wanted to go back to the kitchen and help the "chef" as I learned he could not even make mashed potatoes with any flavor. I don't want to be negative, but this place may not be in business next year. I do give them credit for a clean restaurant including the kitchen (I always look for this as I used to own restaurants in Ohio, NY, PA and W.V.). We have been here before but it's been a couple years. The appetizers were very good, the mains were just so-so. Filet was overdone to what was specified. The other mains were just so-so, nothing to rave about. Our server, Allie was outstanding however, and I commend her for her service and attitude!!! read more

Shhhhh! One of the Best Kept Secrets in Downtown Howell, It's a speakeasy, so if you don't do stairs to the lower level, call and ask for specific directions to the hidden elevator. Great food, too. Tremendous selection of bourbons, craft beer, and scotch. Also a great place to catch a nosh. Buegers, entrees, appetizers, sandwiches, salads, pasta and comfort food. If you love Frank Sinatra you will love this place. If you are a millenial, you'll fit right in. A really hip place. Fantastic ambiance. Worth a trip for a date night. read more

This is a quaint speakeasy nestled right on the main road of downtown Howell. I was pleasantly surprised at the speed of service and was even more surprised with the quality of the food. For a party of 2 we spend roughly $50 (shared appetizer, two entrees and shared dessert). If you enjoy libations their menu has more than enough options for anyone. I high recommend trying this establishment & be adventurous with your options, it's all good food. TLDR; Great food, good cost, don't miss out. read more

I've been to 2Fogs roughly 5 times prior and always get the classic burger and fries. On a random Wednesday, "Josh" in the kitchen decided to make homemade ketchup. It looked and tasted closer to cocktail sauce. When I asked for normal ketchup, they said they no longer offer it. If you like ketchup with your burger and fries, beware. Completely ruined a night out to dinner. Seems like they would offer normal ketchup while Josh dials in his recipe, rather than giving no other option. read more

Pricey! Drinks were mildly disgusting - but some of the food was delicious. Would've gotten a 1 star if I didn't eat there. 2 of ate appetizers, drinks and dessert and our bill was $100! Over the top hipster drinks - everything is made a with a "drink vinegar". And many of these vinegar's were 'out' so we couldn't even order our first choices on the menu. Of the 4 drinks we had (almost $50!), we would not order or drink any of them ever again: Bee's Knee's: wanted it to taste like lavender and honey, but is was just vodka and lemon juice for $12/glass. Could've ordered a lemon drop for 1/2 the price for the same thing. Figgin out: gag - tasted like an adult root beer, but gross. Paper Plane: just tasted like bitters - blah. Monkey something beer: fine, but not worth $9 a glass! Wild mushroom toast was the bomb! but served cold-ish. The baked brie and the tenderloin tips were fine - nothing special. The Blondie was the bomb! The chef's bread pudding - nothing special. No food came out really hot or really cold - disappointing. My server I had to chase down every time I wanted a drink, to order, a refill on my water, etc. If you got Benjamin's to drop on nothing special, this place is for you. read more

We've been coming here for a few years now, and every meal we've had is some of the best I've found in the Howell and Lansing areas. High quality and homemade ingredients. The bartenders know how to pour a good mule, they have a great scotch selection, and one time I was even able to procure a martini with hand stuffed bleu cheese olives. The atmosphere is rustic, and I love the Great Standards music. The service is always friendly and prompt. It's become one of our favorite places to eat. read more

Once again, another excellent establishment in Livingston county. I stopped here on a Sunday night with my cousin for drinks and dinner. And I have to say everything I had was delicious. The top reason for me coming back here is the drinks. Now, I did only try one drink, and that was the Bees Knees. I am a big fan of lavender lemonade and also gin, so it seemed like a perfect match...and it was! This is probably one of the best drinks I have ever had. The price is a little high, $12, but if you don't treat yourself all too often, it is totally worth getting. For appetizers, we started with the Gourmet pretzel and Caprese flatbread pizza. I enjoyed the queso cheese dip for the pretzel and the pretzel was soft and had a light crisp on the outside. The Caprese flatbread must be slightly modified from their menu online as ours had pesto sauce. So glad we got that, because that pesto sauce was amazing! Both of us had their Chargrilled Ahi Tuna, mine being medium rare and hers rare. It was a tasty dish with just enough food to not be too full or too hungry. We ended with the Signature Blondie as a dessert. Now I'm not a big dessert person, but this was scrumptious! That white chocolate brownie was something I have never seen before out and it was perfect for fall. Almost reminded me of a bread pudding, but better. I will also add that our server was very friendly and very attentive. The staff was super friendly as well. Honestly, I cannot wait to come back here and try more of their food items and also get me another glass of the Bees Knees. (The name says it all!) read more

LOVE me some 2FOGS! It's actually kind of become our go-to dinner out whenever I don't want to cook. Like our second kitchen...LOL The atmosphere is cool. Set-up like a little speakeasy which is fun. The food is ALWAYS amazing! My son loves the Tuskers burger. My husband usually has that mushroom chicken thing or a regular burger and I generally opt for the salmon. The portion sizes are perfect so you don't either have to leave feeling completely full and bloated or with a bunch of leftovers that you paid for and are probably going to throw out in a couple days. The wait staff is amazing! Once our waitress even loaned my husband her readers so he could read the menu...LOL Our FAVE waiter however is Trevor. He always dies such a great job! The perfect level of personality and checking in on you without being overbearing. He's great! The manager usually swings by at some point and checks on you as well. Not all places do that. I've been here before, and they had a decent lunch menu, not so today. Lunch menu has been eliminated, which means entrees in the $25+ range. Sandwiches and burgers are pricey, but what isn't today. Appears they want to chase away seniors. I ordered the Cobb Salad, which was served on a 8" plate, about the size of a dinner salad, at $14. I expected something larger. Hardly any greens, and it was soggy with blue cheese and bacon. Decent avocado, tomatoes, and no egg as listed (no big deal). My friends had sandwiches, which they said were ok. I will not be returning to this restaurant. Too expensive for what you get. read more
