I did not realize this was in Brighton. But, we came to the Gilmore Girls weekend event which was amazing. They had an adorable stand outside with fun drinks. I got the founder's punch. I have not seen Gilmore Girls in 20 years, so I do not really remember much, but my child loves that show and I wanted to hang out with her. It was a nice drink, it is fun to have a district where you can walk around with a drink and enjoy the day. The drink was not too strong, pretty average, especially for the price. But I am not opposed to coming back and trying more or even eating here.

Enjoyable place for casual drinks and some tasty food. We came here for happy hour food and drinks and were not disappointed. The bourbon old fashioned was well made and tasted excellent. The coconut shrimp were delectable. I didn't realize the roasted brussels sprouts came with blue cheese, despite it being plainly written in the description. Not liking blue cheese much, this was the only drawback. The truffle fries had only a hint of truffle flavor, but were otherwise quite good. Recommend.

So glad I discovered this place! Went here with my sister to hang out and catch up. Went tried the pierogi appetizer, salmon slider and peanut buttter and jelly slider with a side of cheese curds . Everything was delicious! For the price, the amount of salmon you get is a great deal and the pbj slider was a sweet and savory bite of deliciousness. Service was a little rocky but there were other servers there that helped out. The place itself is pretty small so it makes for an intimate experience. My drink was a kiwi tequila type of drinks and it was very delicious and refreshing.

If you are a fan of sliders, and you happen to be near Brighton, MI, you must stop here! Decent service. Great happy hour menu. Big selection of sliders. If you love spicy food, you gotta try the 9-1-1. The mushroom & Swiss slider is delicious if you're looking for a traditional-style slider. My fav non-traditional sliders were the fried perch and the turkey reuben. And there were so many that I didn't even get to try! My bf is obsessed with this place, so I'm sure I'll be coming here every time I'm in Brighton.

First time at this restaurant where I came specifically for the Happy Hour (3 - 6pm 7 days a week) which this review is solely focused on. Relative to the Happy Hour menu, it includes draft beer, bottled beer, house wines, select classic cocktails and a very nice assortment of what they label as "Shareables" appetizers. Prices were very reasonable ranging from $3 - $6 for the alcohol depending on selection and $6 for the shareables. For our alcohol order my son got one of the draft beers for $3 which he he was very satisfied with and I got an Old Fashion for $6 which is what caught my eye and was the main reason for us trying Sidecar's Happy Hour. Regarding my Old Fashion, I would say it was good but falls short of a Top shelf drink but for the price, I was over the top happy as this is usually a $10 - $14 cocktail in this area. At this price it was a huge bargain which we all can use a little bit more of during these high inflationary times! My only gripe about the drink was that it had no cherry which I so look forward to munching on at the end of my drink. Considering the friendly cost of these drinks though, I forgive the ownership for this small oversight on their parts {: Regarding the food we ended up getting the pretzel bites with cajun seasoning and cheese sauce which was a fairly large portion size and the Coconut Shrimp with chili sauce (6 pieces). Both sharables were very tasty in my opinion and are an insanely good deal where our total bill came in at $23! SERIOUSLY $23 that included alcohol!!!! I think two large size Happy meals at McDonalds will run you $20 these days!!! Overall we were very pleased with our first experience at Sidecar and will definately be returning in the near future to partake in their Happy Hour (probably over and over again). If you are in the Brighton area and love a good Happy Hour at really good prices than this is a business not to be missed.

First time. Arrived at 4pm and pleasantly surprised during happy hour. Many discounted shareable for $6, I selected the coconut shrimp (6) with chili sauce and pierogis (6) cheese filled, caramelized onions, bacon bits, and spicy sour cream. Draft beer Cheboygan lighthouse amber $4. The coconut shrimp was good, the chili sauce more sweet than spicy. Glad I tried the pierogis, but did not care for the spicy sour cream, I would recommend to have the sauce on the side. Great happy hour.

It has the potential of being great but they're missing the mark. Food is average. I've had much better sliders in other places.

Food was ok but its way too expensive for what you get. Service was poor as well. Took 30 min plus to make a salad.

Having said that, if it had come with pickles it definitely would have amped up the flavor profile of this burger and made for a better sandwich in my opinion. Possibly something to keep in min d and ask for if you go the Burger route. Aside form the burger, I ordered an Old Fashioned with Makers Mark Bourbon as the base for my cocktail. The drink was well made and quite tasty and a deal at $11 in my opinion. Aside from the burger there were an assortment of food options that I would classify as Elevated Bar food bordering on a Bistro style Menu that looked very interesting. Nice! The bar itself has a dark vibe to it to go along with the Western accents making for a nice ambiance to enjoy your drink/food. Plenty of tables running along side their massive bar and numerous TV's scattered about to allow you to watch the big game. Staff is quite friendly with good follow up throughout the meal. Overall a nice place to enjoy a well made drink and grab a bite to it. Its central location in the business district is also another huge plus if you want to make an evening of it in downtown Brighton.

The entire staff was helpful, but the MVP was the hostess who supplied us with lollipops and helped to move all of our stuff to a booth when one became available. The menu offers a lot of delicious options, and both my husband and our friend loved the Buttermilk Fried Chicken. I ordered the Salmon, which was okay. The Spanish Coffee was one of the best I've had. Unfortunately, the biggest disappointment was how my food allergies were handled. I had included my dietary restrictions in our reservation and also called the restaurant the night before to make sure they could accommodate me. I was reassured after they checked with the kitchen that most items on the menu could be modified to work within my restrictions. Based on that conversation, I felt comfortable keeping our reservation. Since we were dining with others for a birthday celebration, I had hoped the information from my reservation and phone call would have been communicated to our server so I wouldn't need to go through all of my restrictions again at the table. Instead, I had to explain everything during dinner. Because the restaurant is extremely loud and the tables are packed closely together, our server had to stand across the table from me, which meant having to discuss my allergies loudly in front of our entire party and the surrounding tables. It was an uncomfortable and awkward situation. What was most frustrating, however, was then being told that my options were essentially limited to a protein and green beans. This was a far cry from what I had been told the night before that the kitchen could modify most items on the menu to accommodate me. I completely understand that not every restaurant can accommodate every allergy or dietary restriction, and I don't expect them to. My concern is that I specifically called ahead for this reason and relied on the information I was given. Had I been told beforehand that my options would be so limited, we simply would have chosen another restaurant where I could enjoy a nice meal along with everyone else for my husband's birthday. For anyone dining with significant food allergies or restrictions, I would recommend getting very specific information about what can actually be accommodated before making a reservation.

The restaurant itself is bright, colorful, clean, and really well designed. I loved the clever bench seating, the bar was well stocked, and there's outdoor seating plus an upstairs area that looked really cool. They also have a walk-up taco window outside, which is a fun idea. We sat in the bar area, and the service was amazing. Everyone was friendly and attentive. The food, though, was really underwhelming. Almost everything we tried lacked seasoning and flavor. I ordered the chicken enchiladas, which had very little chicken and were pretty bland. I did like the very thinly sliced jalapeños on top. The rice was nice and fluffy but didn't have much flavor, and they serve black beans, which just aren't my preference with Mexican food. The house-made salsa was surprisingly sweet, and I was disappointed that the chips didn't seem house-made. If I'm going out for Mexican food, fresh chips are one of those little things I really look forward to. My husband ordered tacos at $6 each, which felt pretty steep considering we're used to excellent tacos in the $2-$3 range. His carne asada was cooked closer to medium rare, which wasn't what we expected at all from carne asada. The queso was another disappointment. It tasted very similar to Rico's cheese sauce you can buy at the grocery store. Overall, great service, great decor, very clean and a fun atmosphere, but the food just didn't match the setting or the reviews for us. At these prices, I expected a lot more flavor. Unfortunately, we left pretty disappointed.

Our party of 6 arrived about 130 pm. The outdoor seating area was open and bustling. The indoor space was less than half full and we had no wait to get a seat except that no one was at the hostess station. The bartender did greet us and another group relatively quickly but this was the only thing that was quick this visit. Without going into great detail, we were seated for about 10 minutes before a waitress came to the table. We ordered drinks and it took almost 20 minutes for them to start to arrive and 30 minutes to get all 6 drinks. It took over an hour to get food and the entire visit was almost 2 1/2 hours. Mind you this is an upscale bar not a multicourse fine dining establishment. We were told that they were understaffed due to people not showing up but from what I could see they had 2 servers and a bar tender for about 15 active tables. Our waitress, while nice, was inattentive, often leaving us with empty drinks. The food was as good as we have come to expect as were the drinks when we could get them. I will say the chicken tenders my son ordered were over cooked but still tasty. Normally, I would rate this location as 4 stars but not this trip. Again, I hope this was just an off day but service like this again will result in losing our business going forward.
