Love this place!! All their pizza is top notch. Antipasto salad is second to none. If you are up for bread sticks, don't skip theirs.... Together with dip they are fresh, hot, and simply the best. Steak and salmon are surprisingly good for an Italian/pizza joint. You cannot go wrong. They can be busy on weekends and during peak hours, but service is typically pretty fast. Multiple seating areas inside gives you the choice of bar or restaurant feel. We will be back! read more

Fantastic bar and restaurant. The pizza is the main attraction but they have many other menu items. Gelato is home made on site and usually has 10+ flavors. The bar has two boccie ball lanes that you can rent to use while eating drinking and hanging out. This is a kid friendly place with open deck in front in the summer. Our second experience at Coratti's, downtown Ann Arbor. This is a great family, friendly addition to the downtown restaurant options. Our first visit was a quick stop for a pizza, which was very good. Fresh, tasty ingredients. This time we dined at the bar and Madeline our server/bartender was very friendly and attentive. The menu offers diverse options of Pizza, Entree's and Sandwiches. I ordered the Classic Italian Sandwich. Generous portion sandwich of Capicola, Mortadella, Salami,Provolone cheese, lettuce, tomatoes with a spicy gardenia dressing. It was on a in house made, brick oven bread that was just the right thinness to make the sandwich perfect. Being Italian, I am very picky about Italian lunch meat quality, and all of these ingredients had good flavor, fresh and seemed to be similar to imported quality. I added a side of waffle fries, great flavor and generous portion. My wife had the Shrimp Ernesto, roasted garlic, white wine and butter sauce with a side of oven baked bread. Came here with friends to see what they've done with the old cottage inn space. The concept is good--bocce plus gelato options. But the food was just meh and the service just ok. I was hoping for a better cooked pizza. The bottom was a bit soggy. The fried zucchini was too bready and the fry was not great (the oil wasn't hot enough to fry properly). i've been here many times and it's always top-notch. They have many varieties of pizza done very well. A good array of reasonably priced appetizers as well as a good selection of main dishes. The bar is well stocked great rotating taps. I occasionally get their house red wine and it's fantastic. The staff are always friendly . Definitely one of my go to spots. read more

Good help is hard to find. Neapolitan pizza is my favorite. The crust, the simplicity, the fresh flavors and that wood fired taste just cannot be beaten. The restaurant is cool, chill and fun. Our salad was superb with premium ingredients. We had the red sauce pizzas, burrata and pepperoni/prosciutto. Which were good but served at room temperature. The burrata was clearly placed on the pizza after the pizza had already reached room temperature. It was so cold that it was difficult to cut through and it made our entire pizza cold. Our server was much more concerned with keeping up in conversations with others than making sure we were served hot pizza and a steady refill on our drinks. I've eaten at Coratti's a few times. They have amazing pizza if you are not Gluten-Free. It's incredible. You need to try it. They have some games in the restaurant which make it a fun atmosphere for families. I did not think that their GF pizza option was great but that shouldn't be a game-stopper. (The GF crust seemed heavy and not what I was looking for.) They have great salads and the service was very pleasant also. read more

I've tried to go here several times and the doors were locked. The staff will lock the doors an hour before closing to keep out new customers. If you call, the recording says they are open and to stay on the line. No one will answer. The one time that I was able to get in while someone was walking out, the manager was vaping behind the bar and laughing and smiling while looking at her phone all while ignoring job duties. We were told the kitchen was already closed even though 20 minutes later I saw another table get served food. The service was awful. It was apparent we were not wanted and they just wanted to close as quickly as possible and go home. read more

Great pizza. Friendly staffing usually went to the Coratti on main but I prefer larger pizzas as their is more of a personal size.. This place is great. I alway get a large pepperoni under cheese and it's made perfectly. The employees are great and the guy taking my order remembers me from the other location and knows my order without saying it. I need to come here more often even with the 40min drive. The inside is very clean and open. read more

Beautiful space, open air on the one end, which is neat. Fun atmosphere. Mostly nice staff. But the food (which looks good) is pretty awful, across the board. Proteins are cooked to death, which shows me an amateur cook with no confidence. Even the pizza (thin, American, or deep dish) is so......uninspiring....tastes like cardboard. Probably cutting corners on the ingredients. It really just needs a new chef/head of food program....to get everything tasting right. They could even keep most of these dishes; just fix them so they taste good. I would have a drink/beer at the bar for sure. This was our first visit. We ordered three Neapolitan pizzas to go, the beet salad, and a pint of gelato for $94.38 with tip and tax. My wife and I love Neapolitan pizza and have eaten it in Naples, Rome, San Franciso, and various places in the US. We've been known to ask for "extra char", and love the little burnt bubbles on the top of the crust. We know what a good Neapolitan pizza tastes like. I say all of this to try to convince you, dear reader, that we know at least something of which we speak. I attempt to make this style of pizza in my home oven on a pizza steel, so I know the shortcomings of home-made Neapolitan pizza and how difficult it is to get right. There's nothing like a great Neapolitan pizza made by a professional with excellent ingredients in a blazing hot wood fired pizza oven. I would love nothing better than to find a great local wood-fired pizza place and hang up my peel. All three of these pizzas were the worst pizzas of any style that either of us have ever tasted in our lives, and we have over 100 years of combined pizza eating experience. We have eaten bad pizza in the past and have finished it in the process of critiquing it. We were unable to finish any of these. The biggest problem was that they were saturated with the flavor of an ash tray. Much of the bottom was clearly burned, but even the parts that weren't visibly burned tasted so bitter and ashy that we were unable to eat it. I'm not familiar with the operation of professional pizza ovens, but I suspect that the floor of this one isn't cleaned often enough, and that this intense burned flavor is somehow the result. I find it difficult to imagine any other way I could get the bottom of a pizza to look and taste like that in short the time it takes to cook one of these pies. On the other hand, the main body of the pizza was wet and soggy, despite the burning of the bottom, to the point where it tore apart while trying to get it out of the box. The burratta pizza was logistically impossible. It had three large pieces of basil and a big whole burratta in the middle. We were expecting shreds of burratta used like a normal pizza ingredient. But by the time we spread the burratta around on the pizza, it was a drenched disaster. The mushroom and pepper pizza could have been the best one, but it had the signature acrid burned flavor. The pizza was flat, greasy, wet, and burned. The misto salumi pizza was extroardinarily salty (and wet and burnt). That could just be the way these toppings come out, which is fine if that's your thing. The web site tells a story that is not reflected in the food that we ate tonight. I would have to surmise that nobody who was "certified" was doing any kind of quality control tonight, let alone cooking. Based on the flavor, this would have to go for the maintenance of the equipment and the process, as well as the final. I don't think anyone making the pizzas tonight likes this style of pizza, and has possibly never eaten their own product. If I made this pizza for my family, I would throw it away rather than make them taste it. read more

I had the Frutti di Mari which was excellent and my husband got the Detroit Coratti's Special, which was excellent as well. They have a decent drink selection. I was quite favorably impressed with this establishment. We ordered takeout on this occasion, but the dining area looked intriguing as well. It certainly appeared to be unusual, replete with a Bocce Ball facility, etc. I'm interested to give it a try dining in sometime in the near future. But in this case, we ordered a Detroit-style Pepperoni Pizza and a Pesto Verdura Napolitano White Pizza to take away. Both were excellent. The Detroit-style pizza featured a terrific traditional taste while the Napolitano was equally great and also a bit unusual. Featuring various vegetables like asparagus, it was a nice change of pace and was a lighter alternative to the Detroit-style option. We'll certainly look forward to our next opportunity to try the fare here, perhaps dining in for the full experience. read more

If I could give this place negative stars I would. Service was horrendous. The hostess barely greeted us, negative attitudes, told there was a wait when half the restaurant was empty. Ended up sitting at the bar, asked for food and drink menus since it was our first time here. Bartended rolled her eyes and threw a menu down, walked away, and never came back. Keep in mind this is a Friday night and less than half the bar was full with two bartenders. The general attitude at this place was that we were bothering everyone by attempting to eat here and the staff couldn't care less if we stayed. We've had better customer service at literally any pizza chain or restaurant downtown. We will never come back here and never recommend anyone to go there. read more

The vibe is good, even if you can't hear squat (which might be the reason for the error in liquids). Ordered antipasti (called "Shareables"). The rice balls contained usual rice with hard parts! (maybe supposed to be like that?). Don't need to drown it in sauce!! So much sauce. Nevertheless, it was good. Pizza we got was SOOO bad...drowning in salty meat, NO basil (as listed on menu) and with a wet, limp crust. Should have talked with manager. Took 20 minutes to finally get check. So glad we were able to come in mid day on a Sunday and grab 4 spots at the bar.food and drinks were all very well done. I got mojitos and a mediocre mimosa. The Suppli and gnocchi were honestly to die for, would HIGHLY recommend those two, the margarita pizza was pretty good as well. We also got the s'mores and pistachio gelato which were both a nice tasty treat. The s'mores gelato had to be brought from the back or wherever, but took a good 20-25 minutes, my husband had LONG finished his and was more than ready to leave. Also I was charged for 4 mojitos not 2, wow. That's a lot. SO glad I actually looked at the receipt and caught this! Not sure how that could have happened! We've eaten at corattis and gotten takeout at least a dozen times. The gals at the bar are great and the ambiance is always good. If you eat at the restaurant, you'll have good food and a good time. Any mistakes on your order and they'll quickly fix it. The detroit style pizza is really great. I like it more than Buddys. The American style is good. Skip the neapolitan style. Its straight garbage. They'll tell you its the certified way to make it and blah blah blah and all the servers still know its bad. Its a gross soupy mess. The takeout experience is so much different. Based on over 10 takeout orders, you can expect a few things to happen. 1. Your order will be wrong. Don't add anything on the side or make substitutions because its not happening correctly. 2. The pizza is going to be made not well. It'll be ok but its disappointing on enough occasions to mention it here. Its very inconsistent and I want to learn the cooks names to know who's making pizza before ordering. 3. After eating, you'll say "was that worth it??" The answer for me is no. They have premium ingredients which apparently means you're spending over $40 for 1 pizza and a salad. If a mistake happened once a blue moon, no big deal. Well the place is nice and clean and the pizzas are very good. The staff seems to be young kids but they're not inept. They're nice. I tried the pasta and some of our party had the pizzas in an array of flavors. The pasta sauce was meh. It tasted kind of funky and I don't know if it was just the time of day but I don't want to try it again. The pizzas? Now those were good. Very good. They were damn tasty. I don't know if I'd dine in again, but definitely grab a few pizza pies to go and take them home. They were good. I will give it another shot in the near future.
