We had such a wonderful experience working with Nichole and 2 Friends Events. From the beginning we had no idea where to start with the wedding planning process and we felt totally overwhelmed. So we interviewed a few wedding planners over the phone based on reviews from Yelp and The Knot and Nichole from 2 Friends Events was the one who we felt we really connected with. We ended up choosing "The Complete Event" and Nichole was with us every step of the planning process. We think that communication is very important when working with a wedding planner and Nichole was always very responsive through phone, text, & email in addition to our many face to face meetings. It's so helpful to be able to text her for quick questions such as - 'when should we send out our save the dates?' or 'would these chairs look good for the reception?'. What we learned through the many months of planning is that many questions will come up frequently and randomly! So looking back we would agree that having someone there for you to quickly respond to those random questions helps tremendously. If you have a strict wedding budget, Nichole will make sure to only show you options, designs, & vendors that will fit within your budget. At times she had to reel us in (which we are thankful for) because we tend to have expensive tastes! She helped us choose the perfect venue, negotiated all the contracts with our vendors, helped brainstorm our design ideas (& then implement them), & coordinated our wedding day perfectly. The wedding we had was EXACTLY what we dreamed and imagined and went off without a hitch. The whole time Nichole was calm and cool but at the same time made sure all the events happened on schedule and we were at the places we needed to be at. We had a large wedding party with different personalities and every one of them said they enjoyed working with her. Planning a wedding is hard. Planning a wedding in an untraditional venue with untraditional vendors in a pandemic during peak fire season is VERY hard. As a result, I am SO glad we brought on Patricia Torres. Though the wedding was small, it ended up being pretty complex. It required a lot of keeping track of moving parts, and Patricia and her assistants nailed it. Ahead of the day, she made sure to get to know us and what we wanted, and to learn about our families and everyone involved in the wedding. And when the big day came, everything went exactly as we had hoped it would, from table set-up to the ceremony to dinner service and speeches to late-night pizza. It could not have gone any smoother. At the reception Patricia was organized, super detail-oriented, on top of things and always easy to find if needed. And I very much appreciate that she made sure the groom and I ate dinner! Wow were we glad to have Lindsay as our day-of coordinator!! Lindsay is a type-A personality that will see through *everything* to make sure things will get done as needed, on time. About a month before the wedding, she took the lead on all vendor-related coordination, which freed me to pursue other planning matters. She was also very responsive to the multitude of emails I've sent throughout the course of the month, and was very good at compiling all of my miscellaneous requests without missing a beat. What really impressed us was her day-of execution, smooth task handling, and unwavering resolve to get things done. Not only was she 8 months pregnant, but even faced with a major catering-related fiasco (1/3 of our guests were left waiting without food plus our guests were running off with the cake buffet prior to our cutting), she managed to shield us from hearing about any issues, plied our hungry guests with drinks to keep them happy, and handled the kitchen backlogg, all with utmost grace. Thanks to her, our guests were raving about the wedding despite all the little issues that were going on in the background (unbeknownst to us). She also helped us resolve the fall-out from the catering by providing us with plenty of professional advice, and really helped us retain our sanity during a stressful time both before and after the wedding. My fiance and I worked with Camille for month of wedding coordination (including day-of logistics and coordination). Camille was assisted day-of by Mary. I found out about 2 Friends Events because they were on the recommended vendor list for my venue, the CuriOdyssey Museum. Our wedding consisted of an on-site ceremony at the museum, cocktail hour, buffet dinner and dessert with live music and dancing for 210 guests. I admit I didn't know what to expect from month-of coordination services since I knew my fiance and I would have already selected our vendors by the time we started working with our coordinator. Camille was awesome. She was super responsive to my overly-detailed emails and questions, was a pleasure to work with, and was able to simultaneously manage the big picture and all the little details to make sure everything ran smoothly on the day of the wedding. Working with her in advance made me confident that our wedding day would run smoothly - and it did! She went beyond the schedule and the coordination: Camille (and Mary) set things up, tore things down and ensured everything got loaded into the right cars. Important things like oh, our personal art projects involving painters' tape and our Chuppah, which had to stay pristine so we'd get our deposit back. Camille managed our other vendors so that we could enjoy our wedding with family and friends. She also ensured we had a personalized day - she suggested nice details for the wedding but made sure it was clear that the choice was ours to do or not do them. Examples: entrance during dinner, welcome speech, sunset photos. Camille even dropped off the leftover cake at our hotel after the wedding because it hadn't been loaded out. The wedding service and event production industry is extremely professional (for sure in the Bay Area, certainly in the US and likely in most parts of the world today). The nature of weddings is such that many couples have no experience with the industry before planning their wedding. Especially if you have a large wedding, a wedding at a venue that wasn't built for weddings, and/or a tight schedule (many different parts that have to stay on track for them all to happen), work with a coordinator. The "day of planner" package seems like it would only be day of, still Candie made incredible use of our introductory, one month, and one week out calls. While we had never met, I went in to my wedding as the bride knowing I could attend and enjoy and trusting Candie would help everything run smoothly. We had a large gathering of 150+ of our family and friends (~30 kids under 10) at a local brewery we love. Candie was there early to make sure everyone was communicating, she set up the boxes of decor and logistical items I had a friend drop off that morning, and she just brought our whole venue to life as our wedding instead of just a lovely brewery restaurant. By the time we showed up (early for the party but an hour later than we'd expected due to photos), Candie had everything in control. She walked up and quietly introduced herself, showed us how everything was going (flawlessly), and asked what we needed. I think she asked me a grand total of 5 easy yes/no questions the whole night, and other than that, she was helping my mom run kid treasure hunts we planned, making sure the kitchen and the DJ were on the same page, and more. PRE-WEDDING: I had Lindsay as my day of coordinator, and let me just say.. calling her a "day of coordinator" was far from what she actually did to help us! I met with her multiple times prior to the wedding day, she was always calming, reassuring, helped me IMMENSELY with the timeline, details, etc. etc. etc. I can't say enough how awesome she was at making sure everything went smoothly. REHEARSAL: We had a rather big bridal party, and Lindsay was ready and whipped everyone into shape at the rehearsal! We just got back from our honeymoon and the first thing I wanted to do was write how absolutely amazing Nichole was for our wedding last weekend at Thomas Fogarty Winery! If i could give 2 Friends Events more then 5 stars I would! We had Nichole as our day of coordinator but she did so much more then the day off! We did a walk through and set up a layout of the entire venue which she shared with all the vendors and set up a giant DETAILED timeline! Im a pretty organized and detailed person and was worried it was going to be difficult to set up everything the way I wanted but as soon as we hired Nichole i knew we were in good hands and felt totally at ease with the rest of our planning! For rehearsal she knew exactly what to do and rallied our ridiculous bridal party to position. She knew how to pose the guys and girls perfectly. I also had 5 giant bins of decor that i was able to pass over to her so I didnt have to worry about it the day off. It was so convenient! The day off Nichole and her assistant were incredible! Upon my arrival half the decorations were already set up and everything was in motion. She checked up on me and the bridesmaids multiple times as we were getting ready and brought us champagne and anything else we needed. She had the whole ceremony queued and timed out to go with our music and continued to remind me and the bridal party to smile and hold our bouquets in the right spot. She also kept everyone at ease and helped maintain my nerves! After the ceremony she brought everyone appetizers and drinks from cocktail hour while we took formal pictures. Her assistant moved all the ceremony decor that we needed to the reception really quick. She must of gone up and down this huge hill 20 times all with a smile on her face! For dinner it was a buffet but my husband and I wanted to do table greeting and eat dinner while our family did toasts so she brought my husband and I plated dinners as well as a platter of appetizers. After the reception we had a sparkler send off and i seriously don't know how they were able to herd 130 drunk people to line up with sparklers. It is a very dangerous task but they did it!! After the wedding all my dad (who had no idea how much detail it takes to plan a wedding) kept saying he doesn't know how we could of done it without them and how they made everything flow so easily and smoothly. read more

Things could not have been smoother. On Saturday, I spent most of my time relaxing by the pool of my hotel not thinking about anything that needed to be done....knowing Lindsay had a command of everything. I decided to check-in around 5:45pm and she let me know that everything was going great. When we got to the venue, she was always there to let us know when the next 'thing' (first dance, our speech to guests, etc.) was coming up. She also made sure we always had our drink of choice in hand (now that's service!) as well as special plates of food for us. While we stayed at a hotel, she dropped everything off at our house after the party and made life way too easy for us. Nichole and Lindsay were amazing as a day of coordinators for my wedding at the SF Zoo. I can't begin to explain how smooth everything went, especially in the face of some big unexpected issues and a very unorganized bride (me)! First, about a month out from the wedding, they helped me finish up details I couldn't decide on and gave me great ideas. Then at the rehearsal they rallied the troops (more like herded the cats) that are families and bridal party; got everything organized and done quickly. For the Wedding day itself, with torrential downpours and a structure fire adjacent to the venue, Nichole and Lindsay handled everything perfectly. They setup the ceremony and reception better than I had envisioned. Getting the guests into the venue, running the wedding schedule, handling the shuttles, and a million other things was all done so smoothly! I'm about three months late, but I would totally recommend 2 Friends Events! I worked closely with Chrystal, who helped me pick and choose flowers to go with my wedding theme. We met several months in advance to discuss what I was looking for. She was incredibly flexible and patient with me, especially given me lack of flower knowledge. Throughout my wedding planning period, I made arrangements and changes to my initial proposal and Chrystal was more than willing to consult with me on those changes. It was such a smooth planning period for me given the amount of work she put in. On the day of the wedding, I arrived and everything was put in place. My boquete was stunning, I received many compliments. It was so stunning!! Our wedding favors included succulents that Chrystal got for us. Each succulent was unique in its own way and it came in a crystal-like box. Seriously, hands down, they're the BEST to work with! Hope you read this, Chrystal! Nichole was our day of coordinator and I would highly recommend her. My wife and I live in Switzerland, but having our wedding in California where we are both from. We met Nichole during our only trip back to meet all the vendors. She was very organized and friendly. Planning a wedding from long distance was frustrating, but Nichole was very supportive. During our wedding, Nichole kept us right on schedule and made sure we didn't miss anything. My wife was so happy that she didn't have to manage all the details and actually enjoyed our special day. My wife and I had the opportunity to work with Patricia Torres last Fall for our day of coordinator for our wedding and she was amazing! She went above and beyond in the planning process to make sure we had everything we needed once the day came. We worked with Jen as our month-of coordinator for our wedding. SO worth it!! If you are considering whether it is worth the money for day-of or month-of coordination, the answer is YES!! Jen took care of all those little last minute problems so that we could just relax and enjoy ourselves. Example: Several clips for our photo display had broken when transporting them to the venue, and we forgot to put the easels together for our signage at the rehearsal. Slightly panicked, I texted Jen after our rehearsal letting her know about the easels as well as a few other things we forgot to do. Her response? "I got it. I'll take care of all of that, I'm already at target picking up super glue for the photo clips." She told us to enjoy our night and assured us she would do it all, AND SHE DID. Our wedding ran so smoothly, she made sure everything that needed to happen, happened, and it was all behind the scenes. We didn't worry about anything and fully enjoyed our perfect day. She was thorough and communicative when getting details about the day beforehand, reminding us (but not pressuring us!) to send over remaining details. My wife called Jen "an angel." Every piece of decor was in its intended place, as set up by Jen. 100% recommend. We also booked our florist, Sweet Peas Floral Design, through 2 friends, and that was fantastic as well. Chrystal was creative in repurposing florals for multiple things (per request to keep costs down). For example, she suggested repurposing the bridesmaid bouquets in vases for part of the head dinner table decor, which was so smart and also looked amazing. read more
