This was by far one of the best fried catfish plates I've ever had. The fry was to perfection, great flavor and crisp. I ordered green beans and mac & cheese. Mac was fantastic, I highly recommend the side. This place is a little off the beaten path but definitely worth visiting if you're in the area. read more

When I arrived, I was a little concerned because all the outside lights were off. I thought they were closed, but I was able to order food online so it didn't really make sense. I went ahead and went inside and unfortunately they didn't have what I had ordered. I ordered shrimp, salad and hush puppies and oh my goodness it was absolutely amazing. I see why there were several people at this tiny little restaurant. So even if it's dark outside and you see somebody in there cooking, go in and give it a try. Support small businesses. read more

Went here this weekend and got fried fish and shrimp plate. It was really good. You could tell the fish was fresh and it didn't have a fishy taste. For my sides I got the fries and a side salad( they were out of potato salad the day I went ). The fries were really good, hot and crispy. The salad was just okay, they forgot to give me dressing. Also you are supposed to get bread or hush puppies, neither was in my plate but I had an extra shrimp so I was okay lol. I would recommend trying this place out. I would go through the drive through(which I didn't notice they had until after I left ) instead of inside since it's kind of small. It's no fine dining establishment, but it is consistently fresh, hot faire. I gave it three stars because they are lacking in the customer service department, but if that is not high on your list of priorities then this is a decent place to grab a quick bite. I opted for the 4 piece fish, which comes with two sides. I chose fries and salad. I am not a ranch dressing eater, but I was not offered an alternative. The salad is a pre-made blend that is doctored up with mixed cheese and croutons. It was not my fav. Additionally, the dressing is not served cold which concerns me. I was also skeptical of the tartar sauce and decided to eat my fish and fries simply with ketchup. The fish and fries were hot and well seasoned. Those were the stars of this meal. This is some incredibly great fried shrimp and fish. The fish looks & tastes extremely fresh and the lack of a fishy odor completely convinced me. I'm not ordinarily one for fried food but this is worth the exception. The fish and shrimp plate comes to about $12 cooked to go with two sides. I got fries and tomato relish which is large chunks of pickled green tomatoes. Every bite of each component was wonderful. The fish was delicate, flaky, and perfectly cooked. The shrimp were tender, jumbo, and awesome. All batter is seasoned nicely and super crispy. Their tartar isn't white, it's more of a thousand island to me but still good, though he fish is so perfect it doesn't even need it. You can eat all of this with your hands on the way to the airport or fork and knife it. The fillets are nice and large and flaky, but sturdy enough to hold in your hand without breaking. Would like to try the slaw next time. Fries were good, but included hush puppies were not hot or special though. The other thing that makes this place stand out is that the food is prepared just for you. It comes out and is served piping hot (besides the hush puppies) in a styrofoam box. I hate styrofoam but it does ensure that your food stays hot, at least until you can inhale it. This is not somewhere you go for ambiance-- I'm not even sure they have a seating area but hell, the food rocks. They sure know how to do it. Also, they must do a solid volume of non cooked fish. I can't believe there aren't reviews on this restaurant. I went there for the first time last week and it is out of this world. The prices are great! The food was fresh and delicious and the people that work there were friendly and professional! I got the catfish filet, tomato relish, peach cobbler and the only thing I'm sorry about is......I didn't get more! Plan to go back and try their cole slaw, chicken, and red snapper. I had the 6 Jumbo Shrimp Dinner & it was good (not sure about that Jumbo size though) not great. The Tartar sauce is tasty but would be bettet if thay would refrigerate it first. My wife had the Fish & Shrimp combo. She said her fish wasn't done. But all things considered I would go back. It is a nice Fish spot. read more

My friend and I had lunch at 20-20 Seafood Restaurant on Greenwood Road in West Shreveport a few days ago. We both work out at the same gym as the restaurant's Chef, so we decided to give it a try. I won't say I was surprised, but I was definitely pleased with the experience. The location on the south side of Greenwood just a few blocks east of Monkouse is far from impressive - but the food is VERY impressive. The over-the-counter menu has a wide range of choices, but the counter man (I'm sorry, I've forgotten his name) said their specialty was seafood, so I ordered the Blackened Tilapia with fries and cole slaw, and my friend ordered fried Whiting with beans and cole slaw. We sat down at one of the four tables in the eating area (other people came and went with carryout food while we were there) and were pleasantly surprised to hear Christian background music and see a Christian station on the TV. My tilapia was just right - nice, spicy flavor but not overwhelming. My friend, who is a chef in his own right, was very complimentary of the presentation, the fact that the batter stayed with the fish, and the cole slaw (I liked the slaw, too). All in all a very nice experience; we were able to see and congratulate our workout buddy, Jerome, as we finished our meal. Price was VERY reasonable; I'll be back! read more

Food is ok... staff.. namely the front counter and whomever take the phone orders is Super Rude & unprofessional! I'd rather go to a mediocre restaurant with good customer service, than to go and spend money in a sub par place in a less than desirable location, with possible questionable health ratings! This fish is fantastic!! It's always hot and fresh! My family likes the fact that they have a variety of Fish that most Louisiana restaurants do not.
