First off the phone conversation w/ Michael was above and beyond , he helped me decide on my meal w/ great knowledge and recommendations. I ordered the firecracker shrimp (amazing) 8oz filet with broccoli and butter mashed potatoes (sooo good) and finished it off with key lime pie ( over the top good) The place was packed when I arrived , so make a reservation if you're planning a beautiful dinner out with loved ones or the whole family. So excited to see so much new growth in Shreveport and that includes Gibbons. I was told by a flight attendant that this was a go to spot for lunch and dinner with the food being good and an reasonably priced. Gibbons met both of these criteria for me with a couple of improvements needed. I was visiting my uncle in the hospital so we decided to get food to go. I got their cod with green beans and for an extra dollar a cup of their gumbo. The cod was super small and a little dry--thank God for the tartar sauce! The green beans were seasoned well with garlic and salt along with the gumbo. The gumbo had a nice spice to it, so much so that I wish I would have gotten a bowl! Overall the food was okay. I think next time under different circumstances I would eat in versus to go so that the fish is a little fresher. My relatives liked their food as well, but they wish they could have eaten in. Also, I wish that they were open just a little bit later as closing at 9pm on a Friday seems a little too early, perhaps 10/10:30 on Fridays and Saturdays? read more

If I could give Gibbons Fine Grill more than 5 stars, I would. As someone who grew up in California with access to an incredible variety of restaurants, it takes a lot to impress me--and Gibbons Fine Grill is hands down my favorite restaurant. In fact, I wish they would open a location in Texarkana! The food is consistently outstanding. I don't even like fish, yet I absolutely love the Atlantic salmon with the lemon champagne butter sauce. It's one of my favorite meals anywhere. The mashed potatoes are perfection--rich, buttery, creamy, and full of flavor. Even the broccoli is cooked perfectly every time. On our most recent visit, we also ordered the lemon butter chicken breast, which had the perfect blend of seasoning and was incredibly tender. And whatever you do, save room for dessert. The key lime pie is absolutely incredible--the perfect balance of tart and sweet, with a smooth, creamy texture that makes it impossible to stop at just a few bites. What impresses me most is the consistency. We have been dining here for years after stumbling upon it completely by accident, and we have never had a bad meal. Not once. The atmosphere deserves recognition as well. The restaurant is beautiful, elegant, and exceptionally clean. The first time we walked in, we thought we might be underdressed because of how upscale it looked, but we quickly discovered it's a comfortable, welcoming environment where people can dress casually and still enjoy a fine dining experience. Great food, outstanding service, a beautiful atmosphere, and remarkable consistency year after year. Gibbons Fine Grill is truly a hidden gem and well worth the drive. Another delicious lunch. Our server Billy was great. He took such good care of us. All of our food dishes were excellent. The size salad was so fresh. The salmon was always delicious, you just never know if you will get a very tiny piece or a normal small piece. Since there is an extra charge the pieces should be more consistent in their size. Native of Louisiana but a Texan now so I don't get over here too often. But I always hear of my parents going since they're an hour south & I'd be jealous that I hadn't gotten to try this fine place out. Well I finally was able to today! Let me tell you, the word from the wise is that it's good. But I say, no....it's spectacular! What a DEAL of fantastic flavor & quality for the amazingly low price. I can tell you that one would be paying upwards of $50-$70 per person for the same meal in Austin or Dallas. The impeccable, timely, polite & professional service of the hostesses & wait staff was simply on point & delivered 5-star level hospitality. I even needed something from a bar attendant & she didn't hesitate a moment. Wow! They truly make the customers want to return & the food is just an absolute grand prize to top it all off. A true owner is front-line of the scene & it was nice to see her being so proactive & welcoming. Speaking of the food, we started with the Firecracker Shrimp appetizer (12). When one dines, to begin with such a spectacular show & flavor-bomb, you CANNOT MISS with this stack of yummy! It just blew me away. Don't ignore the shredded cabbage bed, throw it on your shrimp bites & you just might order a second serving -- it's THAT good! I got the Mahi Mahi Alexander. Man alive, what a luscious, thick cut of fine sea meat! Decorated with crave-able lump crab & shrimp to accent my preferential asparagus, otherwise green beans are the default. This dish was just stunning in looks & next-level deliciousness. DO NOT & I mean DO NOT skip the whipped & creamed buttered mashed potatoes. If you can stand it, wait to finish that last. The taste will just linger on the tongue many hours after you're done. Absolutely divine side that is just stand out, elevating the quality of the meal as a whole. Seasoning is absolutely spot on, not too little, nor too much (a Louisiana tendency). Weaknesses but absolutely small beans: my cup of shrimp gumbo had a weak, almost watery roux, yet it was still good overall & looked the part. Might've just been a bad day & too quick of preparation. It should have greater depth of umami & darker color instead. And only one of my entree shrimps has some shell still on it but that didn't bother me. Seating was spacious, comfortable, & the walls with mirrors make the place seem so grand. Restrooms were super nice & clean. Love the layout of the restaurant as a whole, just feels like everything flows for the diners & the staff. No one seemed in the way of anything. Supremely elegant, classy & for Shreveport, a total gem. You CAN feel rich without denting the pockets like you were here. If I lived locally, I'd most certainly be dining here no less than weekly & bring all my guests, friends & family. Total romantic date spot too & you will thank me. If you haven't read the other reviews yet to goad you through the doors, I truly hope this one will convince you that no other place is worth going but here if you can't decide. On a road trip and decided to give Gibbons a try. So glad we did. It's was awesome. Husband had the trio and raved about how good and fresh it was. I had cedar plank salmon that had a wonderful glaze and pineapple salsa. Whipped potatoes were a big hit for us both. Service was great - Temi, our waiter, was friendly, helpful and accommodating. This place is one my favorites in Shreveport!! We had the Tango Margarita 5/5, and the Gibbons Martini 5/5!! My father in law got the a Ribeye from the SECRET MENU!! I had the Salmon and another had the Stuffed Shrimp. We would all order those dishes again. There was an hour wait on a Friday night but it's so worth it. 3 drinks, 1 app and 3 entrees was just under $100. All of our food was excellent.The place is fancy enough for a birthday dinner on a Saturday night but casual enough for a Tuesday dinner. read more

And they one time i got a " Jake chicken tender platter" and it the supposed to have 6 chicken strips.
