Despite them getting my prescription wrong two years ago, I mistakenly kept them as my optometrist mainly because they honored my insurance. I decided to replace lenses in existing glasses that worked fine but were scratched up. The eye exam resulted in a minor strengthening of my prescription. Getting the glasses back with rhe new lenses I noticed the channels were very narrow (as soon as I moved away from direct line of sight the focus became blurred). Returning to the opticians they immediately blamed the issue on the lens quality level the insurance company paid for and told me I would need to pay an upcharge for better lenses. I was not satisfied with this response as at no time when I selected these lenses was I told that they would in fact not allow me to see properly. It was therefore suggested that I come back to see the eye doctor to recheck the prescription. On returning for this appointment, I was directed to an optometrist who again suggested the prescription was right but I would need to pay the upcharge for better lenses with wider channels. Unfortunately I bought in to this. When the glasses were again ready I found the channels were exactly the same as the former lenses and vision was still poor. Another appointment was made with the doctor and she checked the prescription and said it was correct. I theredore agreed to have the lenses replaced yet again but confirmed at the time that this was their last chance. The glasses were again ready yesterday and I went to pick them up again. The lenses were only slightly better but vision is still poor outside of the very narrow channels. I therefore asked for them to process a refund which they agreed to. They offered to see if the insurance company would refund their portion if I left the lenses with them. I decided against this as I have been surviving on old glasses with poor vision for so long and after 6 visits to this company, I need to take a break and work between the old and new glasses for a while. Bottom line is I have spent a lot of time and money for a pair of glasses that are 10X worse than the original lenses I started with. Bottom bottom line...... watch out for the selling of useless upcharges they try and force you into and if a different optometrist carries your insurnace, then go with the alternative. read more

I admit I am probably the worst patient. Even after 3 years of dealing with me, I still experience their gracious attitude. They are patient with me & answer all my questions. I like to be detail oriented when it comes to my contacts. Doc Kim suggested ways I can better care for my eyes by sanitizing the contact case. He also informed me of water contaminants & the care I should take when cleaning my case. This last Friday I missed my original 4:40pm appt. I was on the 91 E freeway for 2 hours & 40 mins. Thanks to their new hours I was able to reschedule for a later exam. Every two years I have to renew my driver license bc of my eye condition & the doctors were able to fill out the appropriate forms for me. Today was a smooth 2 hour wait at the dmv. read more

This is the place we always go to for our glasses. All four of us in the family wear glasses so it can get expensive. But we like 20/20 because they have a good selection and the staff are always professional and polite. The glasses don't take long and we get a phone call and a text when our glasses arrive. I confirmed with the receptionist and Jennifer Picone (Manager) my scheduled appointment with Dr. Kim. I also called the same day of my appointment to confirm my appointment was scheduled at the corresponding time with Dr. Kim due to a text message I received which stated a different time with Dr. Kim. When I arrived at my appointment, I was given the intake forms to fill out and after waiting, I was called to go upstairs to be seen by Dr. Kim. Once I was sitting in the exam room the assistant stated I would be seeing another Doctor not Dr. Kim. I was told Dr. Kim was not in and I would be seeing a different Optometrist. Then I spoke to Jennifer Picone I would have appreciated if they would of informed me the same morning when I called to confirm my appointment or at least notified me when I checked in. Jennifer Picone's demeanor was unprofessional. I would have appreciated a call to cancel or reschedule. As an office manager myself, I was disappointed the way Jennifer Picone handled the situation. At my arrival time, the receptionist or Jennifer Picone Should have made me aware that Dr. Kim was not in. Jennifer Picone handled the situation very poorly. read more

Dr Evritt has been my optometrist for 8 years. She is brilliant. Excellent at diagramming anything that you need to know about your eyes. This place is pretty big for an optometrist, really impressive. It's 2 stories and I believe it even owns the building next to it. I was able to get a next day appointment with dr Kennedy and the exams were on the 2nd floor. Check in was simple, their equipment for the eye pressure test and other ones you put your face in before seeing the dr were a little gross and I had trouble doing one test because the lense was dirty and I can see little streaks on equipment. Dr Kennedy was awesome and a good, normal as can be visit. Nice to talk to, their selection of frames was really good and they don't try to up sell you on a bunch of lense additions. I waited a little over 2 weeks for my glasses to be ready which is a lot longer than any other place I've been to but they let me know from the get go. During the frame picking process my glasses actually fell and broke lol. Vic was super awesome and added a new screw to my glasses and he also fixed how wide they were. Love all the Doctors and staff here. They are always friendly and kind. They have also made it so their patients feel safe during this time of a pandemic. They wear masks and gloves, they have hand sanitizer available and they have set up to the waiter area to be socially distant and safe. Mixed review, unfortunately. Dr. Everitt is knowledgable and thorough, but the office is not supported adequately. I came in for my appointment and they were about to run the incorrect procedure on me (including dilation!). When I mentioned that this doesn't sound right as I had just done this procedure a few weeks prior, they acknowledged the mistake and tried finding what I was being seen for, but had no chart notes and no idea what tests needed to be done. The staff person dismissed my concern by saying "its fine, it won't be out of pocket". The doctor was unavailable and I left after half an hour. I wanted to like this place, so was very disappointed. read more

At the end of this year, I had my appointment re-scheduled twice and I ended up losing $1,000 in pre-tax money I had to spend this year. I do not have a preference which doctor I see. I let them know how important it was that my second appointment happen before the end of the year but even in a practice with multiple doctors, they could not accommodate me. read more

I decided to switch optometrists and came to 20/20 because of the good yelp reviews and the fact that they offered online appointment booking. I was very pleased with the service - the employees were very helpful and friendly (Jennifer in particular was great and spent a lot of time helping me pick out frames), the building is modern and clean, and Dr. Kim was professional, friendly, and fast. Minus one star because I had to wait in the (practically empty) lobby for 30 minutes to pick up my glasses, which took 90 seconds. Dr.Everitt & the Staff at 20/20 Vision are fantastic! They have an online system so you can set up all paperwork ahead of time, then choose who you want to see, & make an appt all on the computer! I set up an appt Mon night & was able to get a choice of appts for the very next day. First the desk manager greeted me, then Marisa guided me to get all the visual acuity tests & the air puff one. I then saw Dr.Everitt, who gave me very thorough eye exam and made sure I was correctly fitted. After that I was taken to the frame selection where Richard helped me narrow down the best frame for me. He went over all options (transitions, lens material, coatings, progressive, etc) and applied our insurance. I was Very pleasantly surprised to find the glasses were Much less than expected! I brought my 10 year old here for her first eye exam, as she was complaining about some fuzzy vision. We weren't kept waiting for more than a few minutes at a time, which was great. All members of the staff, from the receptionist to the doctors, were kind and attentive. The exams were quick and painless and we were made aware of our options. We never felt pressured or overwhelmed. When my daughter picked out her glasses, she tried on quite a few sets of rims and the woman helping us was patient.
