They offer Theatre/Acting classes to young children, which is another reason we sought out this studio. We requested dinner music and let him choose and he did just exactly what we were thinking! My one request was to keep the dance floor full the whole night and he exceeded my expectations! Our dance floor was full the entire night! He also did a great job making our hall look so good and personable. He made a gobo which was lit on the wall with our names and wedding date and matched our colors for the up-lighting. So many people have told me that our DJ was the best they've ever seen. Then I went to grab a fountain soda and water. They gave them to me no charge. My son dropped the water immediately and it spilled everywhere. They instantly started preparing another and called for a mop. They were very kind and generous and it really made my night easier. Great people!

However, what really sold me were two things: (1) the customer service of the staff and (2) the arcade's strive for innovation and progression in enhancing the VR experience. The staff where very kind and accommodating, even with our large party of 7. They did their best to provide a wide range of games for us to play. In addition, after our time was up, my friends and I got to beta test their first multiplayer VR backpacks. Imagine being able to physically move around and play with your friends in an open space - awesome, right? This is a but a glimpse of what Escape VR at Oxford, MI can provide to the public. I'm only in Michigan for vacation this weekend, but this visit was the most memorable. As an engineer, I appreciate their innovation and profession in VR, and I hope the next time I visit MIchigan, I get to see how much this place has grown.

I signed my children up for dance lessons at Shanon's Dance Academy and it is seriously one of the…read morebest decisions I have ever made for them. This area has a lot of dance studios but what drew me to Shanon's is that she has a heart of gold and treats everyone with courtesy and respect. Her warm demeanor, pride in her studio, and care for her students and their parents really shine through in every interaction I have with her. She is also a true professional who is quick to reply to any emails with any questions I may have. Just as importantly, Shanon's Dance Academy students are under the tutelage of the fabulous Ms. Martha. Under Ms. Martha's firm, no-nonsense approach, my kids have really improved in their dancing skills over the past year and their love of dance has only grown. And although Ms. Martha doesn't coddle her students, she possesses the necessary balance between being tough and gentle at the same time. She treats my kids and all dancers with dignity so that when she gives them constructive criticism, they actually want to improve and work hard to do so. Shanon and Ms. Martha are a real team and they put on an amazing end-of-the-year recital each June that my entire family looks forward to. My kids have been in two recitals so far and the recital experience is one that I really feel has been a positive in their development. I could go on in my praising of Shanon's Dance Academy but I will end my review by saying that my kids always come home from their respective dance classes in a better mood than before they went. And they recently told me that they never want to stop dancing! It is my hope that they never do - and I am so grateful that their love of dance, as well as their technique, is being nurtured and developed at Shanon's Dance Academy!
