This was my first visit since COVID, and I was completely in awe of the variety -- I wanted to try everything. I ended up getting the blueberry cheesecake, one of the chocolate mini cakes, two blueberry lemon muffins (with pineapple!), and two sprouted breads. Oh my goodness -- everything was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. I almost forgot to mention the breakfast pizza with prosciutto and egg on top -- a must-try, right along with the blueberry cheesecake. Every single item I purchased was well worth the price point. I love that they've added a seating area, because trust me -- most of these items didn't even make it home. They were eaten well before I got there. The owner was very informative also and friendly. Amazing bread and staff, everything about the place is great. Love the ambiance. If I had one thing to improve it's that the wifi kicks you off after like 15-30 minutes and lack of outlets to charge a laptop otherwise I'd sit here all day! I have been unable to find anywhere in the local area that sells Jewish rye bread. A friend recommended 20 Shekels Bread. I was told that they only make the Jewish rye bread on Friday, and I took a chance and ordered 2 loaves. I opened the door to the shop (when I went to pick up the bread) and I was immediately transported back to my youth, by the smell of all of the baked goods. I don't have a picture of the French baguette but it's got like a New York water sweetness to it whilst remaining perfectly crusty with a nice slightly chewy interior. The pumpkin whoopie pie is just amazing. Perfectly soft with a pumpkin spice and light cream filling that's the equivalent of eating a sweet cloud . I have lived in Florida for almost 17 years ago, and since I've arrived, I have missed a good Jewish rye bread. I Google'd "Jewish Rye Bread" close to me. It was suggested to me I try 20 Shekels Bread. I chatted a few times with Marni. She suggested I place a pre-order online because the rye bread was only on Fridays. Last night, I placed an order for 2 loaves. I am a Type 2 Diabetic, so I really should not be eating it, but once I started, I couldn't stop. I've already eaten 6 slices with a touch of Irish butter on them. OMG, they are delicious. While I was there, the young lady (whose name I didn't get) asked me if I wanted to try something else recommended a few sweets, including a gluten free chocolate-type desert, adding I should "put it in your microwave for a few seconds and add some vanilla ice cream on top."...I can't wait. My friend recommended this bakery and now that I live close by I went to get a challah. I phoned in an order and included 2 blueberry cheese littles, creamsicle muffin, and a breakfast pizza. Everything was fresh and delicious. It has ample parking, delivery and curbside pickup are available. There are tables if you want to eat in. They serve coffee and some tea.They are only open Thurs-Sun and I'm told they sell out so placing your order ahead of time is advised. read more

I've always wanted to go to this bakery and I finally did. It's so cute inside and there is a parking lot in the front, off Drew Street. I love their concept as well. They bake with whatever they have handy so it makes the menu very exciting to see on Instagram for featured items. Masks are required to enter. I definitely recommend. Nothing in life is perfect but 20 Shekels sure is close to it! We love the sprouted Ezekiel bread and the carrot cake bread. Yep it's bread it's cake it's carrot it's so good. And the raisin bread! You can also get a road snack while there. They call them "littles" think pretzels, muffins, and more. Loaves start around $8 and they do sell out. Best advice is to call ahead and reserve yours like you would a table at a fancy restaurant. I've never spent time in the cafe, it sure is cute though. read more

I have visited both the physical store front and their booths at various markets and have always been impressed with the selection and chosen ingredients. The high quality ingredients and preparations really shines in the product. I am a huge fan of their ORGANIC sprouted flour breads :-D and their unique offerings like pumpkin seed studded pumpkin bread. In addition, their breakfast bread (smaller hand-held-type breads) are phenomenal! I adore the no-dairy vegetable melange (I don't know the official name) individual sized bread and my husband and I enjoy the blueberry cream hand held bread (despite me not being a huge cream or cream cheese person). Drool-worthy. Every product I have had from here is fresh and really stands out. I always look forward to trying more of their offerings whenever I can. I went there to get breakfast this morning for the first time and I was positively impressed from different factors: 1. The atmosphere is rustic and friendly. As they cook everything in house there was even a little smoke/steam fog with a nice bread like fragrance. 2. The "pizza breakfast" that I got tasted awesome. It was a just made, home made bread with prosciutto and egg which tasted great and looked (I am sure it was) organic. The cappuccino tasted awesome. 3. I never fail to leave here buying more than I need to as the ladies behind 20 Shekels whip up some delicious breads and pastries. I'm really astounded by the creativity of the bakers here, things that sound like they wouldn't make sense totally do, like the strawberry-basil muffin that occasionally shows up on their menu. Recently they added coffee and tea to the menu and they make a mean latte to go with some of their breakfast item, the breakfast pizza being my favorite. I wish they were open every day but since they aren't definitely place orders for your favorite items before holidays and get there early before people like me buy everything up! read more

We got a loaf of chocolate blackberry bread. They are delicious. It was interesting how they make it. They use sprouts dough. It is compact, jam, dense. Fill you up quick. Other item they have sold include sprouted brioche fruit tart, sprout lemon cake, sprouted banana muffin and many more. Come to check them out for fresh loaf. The store sale people are very friendly. I love the smell of bread that comes from this place. A lot of people seem to fans of the bread too like it's rock star status. The raisin bread twist was sweet but not too sweet. The one that I wanted was sold out. The people working the counter was incredibly friendly and helpful. If you are a coffee drinker I've heard other customers raving about it. I wanted to order a drink with my bread like a juice or water and they didn't have any selection. I also speculate if they had longer hours more customers would be able to buy. But they are local with a good reputation so the customers has to arrange their schedule to make it in when they are open. read more

Many of the breads have rich and complex flavors and textures as the finest bakery made goods do. Varieties include fruit, nut, rosemary, and other offerings in terrific combinations. My friend took me here because she tasted a pastry of theirs from a farmer market and loved it. So she dragged me to find this place and we did!! This place has tons of parking, so no worries at all!! Once we entered, you can literally smell all the delicious bread and pastries. I instantly wanted to eat something right away just from the scent alone. We were greeted by one of the worker. She was VERY nice and even talked to me about baking. She gave me advice for my flat chocolate chip cookies, which made me appreciate her a lot!!! They had different type of baked good in their display. I chose the blueberry and cream bread, a prosciutto and ricotta bread, and flat bread. My friend got a chocolate chip and walnut cookie. Blueberry and cream bread -- delicious, used real blueberry! I just wish there was a little bit more cream, but it's better that way. Prosciutto and Ricotta -- good. A little salty in my opinion, but still great! Fantastic, hearty bread that's worth a drive. During my pregnancy, I've experienced some pretty awful food aversions. Foods that used to give me life - meat and sweets - I can no longer tolerate. I thought this pregnancy would be about eating everything I wanted (within reason)! The one food I have been able to consume pretty regularly, which I used to avoid because of, you know, trying not to look pregnant if I'm not pregnant, is carbs (e.g. all the bread). 20 Shekels Bread is 25 minutes from me. I know, because it is far enough that I have to use a GPS to get there (although I bet by the end of this pregnancy I'll be able to get there sans GPS). Yet, it is still the closest bakery that makes my beloved bread, as opposed to cakes/sweets. I think I live in the middle of a bread desert. I used Yelp to find 20 Shekels. I would have never gone into a bakery 25 minutes away next to a Laundromat if it wasn't for Yelp. The reviews are correct, this place is good. When you walk in you forget the somewhat shady location. It is small, quaint, and smells of freshly baking bread (i.e. smell that doesn't make me want to throw up). They had bread that wasn't on their website menu and smaller pastries in the case. I got a Chocolate, Blackberry Bread. I still haven't gotten over the fact that I dislike sweets and I figured if it is called bread it probably isn't terribly sweet (I was right). It was $7.50 for a small, yet hefty loaf. More than bread at your supermarket, but for the quality it is worth it. I felt like I was cradling a small baby as I walked out with it, it was so heavy. It was also still warm. Score! On my long drive back I took a couple bites out of the loaf because I wanted to try it while it was warm. It was absolutely delicious. Don't let the small size deceive you, because it is so substantial a few bites fill you up (or maybe I'm filled with a baby inside me, who knows). Yes, I drove 25 minutes for one loaf of bread, but I will happily do it again. Also, they are at the Saturday Farmer's Market so I could try to get my fix there as well. Five stars for delicious, filling, homemade bread. Now someone please destroy this bread desert and open a bread bakery closer to me. read more
