This place is clean, well kept, and has free WiFi. What else can you ask for when you are stuck doing laundry? They also have a tv and vending machines. They have wash and fold service along with their dry cleaning. I like coming here because its private and no one bothers you. You can do anything you need to for the hour and a half you are stuck here. read more

I like their establishment, great laundry machines with room to fold. However, if you need to drop off DO NOT DO IT. EVER. GO ELSEWHERE I BEG OF YOU. I have only dropped off twice, the first being when I moved here last year and there was a minor issue with an older shirt that I decided to throw out once I saw it. It looked as though it had been washed in hot water which I never do with my own clothing, usually at most the warm setting. The coloring had faded too much and there was a slight hole from the fabric giving. I should have said something, but I was still in the process of moving and just considered it small enough and threw the shirt out. Another time I had dry cleaning and when I went in to drop it off, I was told they didn't offer dry cleaning. I was really shocked, because they clearly advertised it. I told my roommate about it that night and she begged to differ and stated she had had dry cleaning done there before then. Since then, I have only used their washers and dryers and have not dropped off and because of the mixed signals I have been going to another location for drycleaning. Last weekend, I didn't have time to do all of my laundry so I dropped off my sheets, towels, and two comforters and headed on my way. Today when I picked up my laundry I came home and noticed that my white bed sheets were pink. I thought, huh strange. Mind you, all of my sheets and towels were older so I didn't mind if they mixed, and when I dropped off they charge extra for the service of comforters and I was told those are done separately. So, why was this pink? I went back and asked and the lady at the counter's response, "It was your comforter's fault." ...I'm sorry, say again? How is it my comforter's fault when I had to pay extra for it to be washed in what I assumed to be a separate wash since it is larger and it was told to me that it would be a separate wash? I paid for it to be separate?!?!? We then went back and forth where I just asked why it couldn't be acknowledged that it was their mistake, and for a refund for the sheets, nothing else. She then got upset and called the manager and handed me the phone. He explained the comforter bled onto the sheets and that there was nothing that could be done. They could maybe try and wash it again, but no refund, no apology, just that it was on me for giving them a comforter that bled on the sheets. I live directly across from them, however I will not be returning. I don't care that I have to go out of the way. The least they could have done was apologize but I didn't even get that. I received, "This is your fault and your responsibility." Again, don't do drop off. And, if you do, don't get upset if they mess up your belongings. Because they will. And they won't apologize. read more

A hidden GEM. this place is CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN and safe and open 24/7 with free wi-fi. it's brilliant. we send our clothes out there and i find the price about or cheaper than everyone else in the area, but the machines are new so they don't burn our clothes, like some others have, plus they HANG your SHIRTS for you (!) so that's a nice added touch. it's family owned and operated so you feel very welcomed and cared for. read more

The Laundromat is excellent. We all know that it's clean, huge and has many perks. However, my review pertains to the dry cleaning service. I dropped off 5 high quality blouses. When I picked them up, they had a very very BAD SMELL - LIKE BAD B.O. or ROTTEN FOOD. The entire batch smelled disgusting and I have several witnesses that can attest to this. I was very surprised and I politely stated that my clothing smells bad. He said "that's the smell of organic dry cleaning." He claims that unlike FAMOUS CLEANERS they do not use soap. I told him I understand it's not supposed to smell good, but it shouldn't smell bad either. It shouldn't smell like anything. However, the main issue was the unapologetic defensive attitude of this man, and the nerve to blame it on my sensitive sense of smell. He literally said "I don't know why your nose is too sensitive" and then said to take my clothing to the dry cleaning service down the block. Well, of course I would always rely on "Famous Cleaners" who actually managed to take the bad smell that wasn't even there in the first place. If you're dry cleaning, BE CAREFUL with your clothing. I had to pay twice to get rid of that nasty smell. read more

Do not have any of your dress clothes laundered here. If all you're doing is your own laundry then this place is great but I had a bunch of my dress shirts washed and hung here and my white dress shirt came back pink. Of course I didn't notice til I had already removed the tag and put it on because I was so out of it in the morning. I can guarantee it didn't go in pink. Since it didn't have the tag I knew they wouldn't believe me so I let that one lie. A couple of my blue dress shirts have come back each of the last two times with stains on them they didn't have when I gave them in, right on the front on one and on the arm on the other. 3 of my shirts came back with broken buttons and when I went back to say something the man told me they came in that way, they don't fix them, and that it wasn't their fault, cause, of course. DO NOT LET THEM RUIN YOUR DRESS SHIRTS. I have dropped off there 5 or 6 times and the weirdest part is the first two times were fine, no issues. I was psyched to have a 24 hr place right by me. Unfortunately, it was as if they were just lulling me into a sense of complacency before they stopped caring. I won't let them touch anything of mine and am considering using a different laundromat to do my own laundry since they were so unhelpful and indifferent to the fact that they ruined one shirt completely, stained two others so that I had to soak and wash them myself and broke the buttons on a few others. EDIT: To say that the yelp info at the top is wrong. They do not accept credit cards. Not a big deal but just an FYI and full disclosure in case you do want to play roulette with anything you allow them to launder. read more

This place is the best laundromat in Astoria by far...Ive been to just about every laundromat in Astoria and none of them come close to this place . They're open 24 hours 7 days a week , and have a table with umbrella and chairs set up outside for you to enjoy food , drink , or cigarette . The machines are all new and functioning , and are reasonably priced...love the extra big dryers...only bad side to this place is beware of going there on a Sunday afternoon ...gets really crowded in there...also , one late night...had to be around 1:30a.m. if not later , my wife and i had been doing a huge load of laundry...as we always do ( we have 5 kids ) ...must have been 8 big bags or so if not more...any how , we were the only ones in there for at least an hour and the attendant was cleaning the floors...he comes by my wife and i and asks us to please hurry...i told him that i would do no such thing and that this is a 24 hour business...i will leave when im ready to do so and that he could feel free to clean up around us...that it wouldn't bother or inconvenience at all...he didn't understand me...or much English for that matter...but aside from that one tiff...this place is the best...they also have free WiFi and vending machines ,no cell phone service because its a basement level laundromat. read more
