Where to start? I'll say that I don't leave reviews often but my experience here as been so good as to move me to post something. I've been coming here for a while now on my sisters recommendation and I'm hoping I'll never have to go anywhere else for many reasons: 1. Lee and his wife Lily are so very thoughtful and personable. I love to see them and every other nail tech interaction I've had has been very pleasant. They also are quick to make sure you are comfortable and they offer drinks. 2. Every pedicure/ set of nails I've had here are always top tier and the prices are fair. There have been times (at other nail salons) where I pay a good chunk of change for nails that break/scuff/only last a week. Not here! My nails stay looking good!!! 3. This place practices great sanitation and has patrons wash their hands upon entry and I just love that. 4. My last visit was extra special as I was getting my bridal nails done for my wedding. Lee made sure I was perfectly satisfied and was extra attentive. I paid an amount similar to other visits. That meant a lot to me because in my dealings with other business for the wedding, some people will charge you extra or try to upsell you if they know it's for a wedding. Not the case here. This was my 3rd time going there and my last time. First time I went the lady cut my fingernails way to short and I thought my nails were dry. Most places check that before sending you on your way. However I assumed they were because of how many times they had been nail dryer. It wasn't even two hrs later I noticed spots were forming in some of them. I went to their Facebook page and left a comment. The owner contacted me and told me he would correct that problem the next day. He is a man of his word. So I thought I'd go back today. I shouldn't have. I don't know who did my nails, but he needs more training. Spent 55.00 and my nails look like crap. I have to take a qtip with nail polish remover get the excess chrome powder off my cuticles. One looks and feels off. It's not smooth like the rest of them. This is probably the best full set I've ever had! I went in when it wasn't too busy and was immediately seen for my pedicure ($20). They're not pushy about upselling you at all, which I really appreciate. My pedicure was done well, and the technician took her time. Off then overlay and shellac totaling 90$. Only issue I had with the pedi was that she was going to use a foot scrubber that was previously used on other clients. Those type of things are to be used once then tossed. Those scrubbers cost Aprox.$2 each they can afford to use fresh ones on each client as they should be doing anyways, same for those files, an buffers ...that's unsanitary. One lady proceeded to tell me they clean them after. Those Pumice foot scrubbers can't be cleaned dead skin gets trapped in the little holes. Moving on to my nails, just a mess it took over 30 mins to soak off the set I had on because I had a sculpted set from another tech and she builds it so it allows for the powder color to be changed during refills rather than having to get the same color. I had no problem with that as I already knew it would take a minute wha I had a problem with is the tech rushed her way through my nails mind you the shop was not even busy at this time. Filled my nails shorter than I wanted. the overlay was sloppy and and so was the shellac. I didn't make a deal about it I just paid as she did a service and it's only right I pay. Fast forward to 3pm i notice my shellack is bubbly...she didn't even allow it to dry all the way . Went back at 5 to initially just get it painted over. They made a big deal about it and gentleman who I believe is the owner said "well ur nails were thicker than that when you came in " ummm yes cause I had a sculptured set on something their not even skilled to do at this location let alone a simple design I asked for. This look I was going for was a more natural look it isn't supposed to look thick and clumpy. At this pint I just asked for the lady to take the color off and refund me for the color ...she said no. So i just left. These chop shops want to rush you, give you half ass work and don't want to refund you your money and i was polite about the whole thing this is why I typically go to independent techs I just did not have time right now so i figured I just go down the street. First, I'll start by saying I'm not the type of person to ever leave bad reviews, but I had a terrible experience and thought maybe I'd save someone else the trip to this salon. The Pinterest picture is what I wanted. As soon as they lady started she struggled with making a straight line for my French tips. which is probably the most basic style you can get. I'm not sure if she just hated her job and put zero effort into trying to make my nails look good or if she genuinely just doesn't know how to do nails and doesn't care to learn how. I wasn't rude to her but I did try to correct her multiple times. I was paying $75 for my nails so I wanted them to look good. I also didn't go to a different salon because I knew that they were more expensive over there, but they ended up being the same price so going to the other one would have been better!!! She spent almost three hours on my nails. I say just go somewhere else!! You should go to a nail salon and be able to relax not be on edge about if they are doing your nails okay and dealing with attitude. well I came and was told the wait would be 40 minutes which was from due to them being slightly busy. After waiting for 45 minutes I was finally told to sit in a chair so someone could come do my feet. I was asked for my color and nobody ever came back. The nice lady who came in after me was seated next to me. After a while someone came and put a bag in my chair and hers and started to fill it up with water. I'm patiently waiting for a tech to come and treat my water before I place my feet in. Well nobody did I was just told to let my feet soak in the water. Not once did anybody ask me what kind of pedicure I was getting. After a man comes to the ladys chair who came in after me and starts working in her feet. Mind you I was here before her. Once i let the staff know how long I've been waiting and that I'm being skipped I was told that I was informed on the wait when I was only told it would be 40 minutes. NOT once did anybody come and informe me that I would be waiting as long as I did which was an hour and 15 minutes before I decided to leave. This is THE WORST experience I have ever had. I went to get a fresh set for the start of school and how embarrassing Ashe first day one nail popped off. In the following days ALL of them but one pinky popped off and that nail was broken. I went into the shop on Saturday because it was the first chance I got to go in and the "Manager" refused to do anything for me. I asked for a refund because it cost $50+ and I had them on for 2 days before they started coming undone. One thing I hate about someone is when they force something on me or they lie..... i went to go do my nails and I didn't ask for anything fancy on a full set and I showed the lady a picture of regular squares nails and she insisted they were coffin shaped .... I was pissed when I learned that you get charged extra for that and also that she was pretty much leaving my nails longer than what I asked just to charge more.... Geez! I ended up with a 70 dollar bill and my nails were not pristine in any regard the coffin shape was stupid because some were more wide or more narrow than others. When I paid the lady cash, I didn't get a receipt back although I asked for one. Went for a pedicure and everything seemed to go pretty well until I came home and the next day my toe was infected. I called them to let them know and they tried to turn the tables around by saying that I had an ingrown toenail when I didnt. I truly don't know if their tools were not cleaned correctly or the lady cut me to much BUT MY TOE WAS NOT HURTING WHEN I WALKED IN THERE. when I spoke to them on the phone the man was so rude and was treated horribly. This place is terrific! I am among their original customer wave and have returned every month since their opening. They are large enough to accommodate 20 customers. At time, but it's not "Sardine-like" as it is at many of the other Baytown nail shops. Owners, Lee and Chau Nguyen are amazingly modern in their ideas for the shop: Firstly, they recognize a returning customer and do things to make it a relaxing experience. In my case, coming from work. I usually have on business attire, so I need extra air conditioning. They always turn a fan on me to make me comfortable. Secondly, the Spa is roomy and clean. Being clean is a big consideration to me. You won't see discarded nail junk, dust or dirty, hairy floor mats here. Thirdly, they employ experienced techs who don't show a negative attitude if you want something done "your way." Lee is a good businessman who understands how to build customer loyalty. Lastly, Lee keeps the chatter between the techs strictly business. I don't feel like I'm intruding on a private party at 24/7 Nails and Spa. I was visiting Baytown and just popped in for a pedi. The wait was short and worth it. I got the orange scrub pedi for $45, which included several foot/leg scrubs and massages, as well as a neck massage. Tammy is excellent: no accidental pain or mistakes, and she does an EXCELLENT massage. The shop looks nice and clean. The people there are friendly and very professional, asking if you want something to drink, and then either visiting or letting you just take a nap, as you choose. I thought this was going to be and great nail shop to come to after reading the reviews, boy was I wrong. First I was told that I cannot get my hands polished with gel if I I didn't get a manicure. Since I've had so many bad accidents with my cuticles getting cut and bleeding. I do not get manicures with my cuticles being cut! Next they were very rude after I decided to get regular nail polish! I've been once and loved how they treated us. I usually as a lesbian who dresses in men clothing feel uncomfortable going to nail places because as I said I dress in men clothing. I did not get my nails done but my girlfriend was getting them done. As I was leaving momentarily to get gas I actually got hit from behind in a pretty bad accident (wasn't my fault at all). I ran back to the store I was only a few feet away (not even 500 feet) to tell her. She told them keep the card she'd come back but the man came back to the accident with us. He even held us and stayed til we got help. He checked on me and made sure I was okay. He told me it wasn't my fault and we wanted to still pay. He told us come back and pay when we want to worry about the accident first it was more important not his money. (We did pay a couple days later). I haven't been since then but I will never forget that. I will forever be a customer here when we have time from our busy schedules to go.
