I took a chance at elegance nails next to subway on Garth Rd. I must say I was a bit nervous to go into a new nail place I did not know. However, I am so glad I did!! The customer service was excellent! Most places on Garth Road have rude people working but a lot has to do with the language barrier, but this place was awesome. The prices are absolutely reasonable compared to most, and care about your well-being while in their salon. I could not keep count of how many times they asked if I wanted something to drink, and if I was okay. Definitely will be coming here again! Service is constantly changing at this nail shop. The owners are rarely here, and their new technicians are a bit inexperienced. I don't know that I'll be returning as I really liked my services a couple of weeks ago, but yesterday's service was very much below par. There are also very few customers here. It's time to move on to a cleaner more consistent nail shop. read more

If Yelp had a NO star option, I would choose it. I normally take my daughter here to get her nails done at this Salon and they have done a really good job. However, on Saturday, October 7, 2017, I took my daughter to get her nails done, so I decided to have my eyebrows waxed. This ended up being a super huge mistake. BEWARE ! A nail technician name Kim escorted me to a back room & said, "lay on the table." So, I did. I asked her to not take too much off. She said, "Ok " then proceeded. The first amount if was she placed on my brows was extremely hot. I cringed and said, "owe, that's too hit." She said, "too hot, oh sorry " then she waited a few seconds before putting it on again, on the same brow. She then moved to the next brow. I cringed again and said, "owe that's hot too. " she didn't respond. It really hurt when she ripped the wax off. It seemed as she cleaned them up with something other than tweezers. Idk. I was still in pain. She rubbed something (she didn't tell me what she was doing at any time. No questions asked or offered) on my brows & forehead area. She handed me the mirror & all looked fine. I thanked her & went out to sit with my daughter. I immediately noticed red bumps & irritation. No big deal at this point because that's normal. However, as the days went by I noticed more redness, swelling & irritation. My eye lids were getting puffy & my forehead bumpy. I start putting hydro-cortisone ointment so it can get better, but it didn't. On Wednesday 10/11, I decided to make a doctor's appointment because this issue began to get more serious. I also decided to stop by the nail salon to show them my face. I asked to speak to someone. Oh boy, this is going to be a language barrier.. So, a young man named "Lou" Came over. I took my sunglasses off & began to explain what was going on. He immediately started telling me, "no one else complain, not our fault, must be you. " Ok. At this point, I'm appalled at the lack of concern. I told him, "look at me, I wasn't like this when I came here . He never apologized at all. He was adamant about claiming their innocence. He told me "nothing wrong with wax & we use Vaseline on forehead." I explained, "there must be something else you used on me." He said "no, must be you, not us " Ok, this is going nowhere. I then told him, " you're simply going to keep telling me it's not your fault when I didn't look this way when I came here & your not going to offer a refund or anything, no sorry either, huh?" He then said, " its only $7" wow, really? I told him I wanted him to put his name on their business card. I'm very upset with how he handled this situation. He then said, I'm sorry this happened to you, come tomorrow to talk to Kim." Then he gave me $7, not including my $3 tip I gave her on Saturday. Whatever, you guys are pathetic. I also explained that I felt as if my eye were closing on me." He simply looked pitiful at this point. I went to my doctor on Thursday, 10/12/17. He was shocked to see what I looked like. My eye was swollen shut. He said the salon did something & I had a bad allergic reaction. It may have been the wax or what they put on my face afterward. The doctor gave me an injection for the reaction as well as prednisone for the next 7 days. My hubby had to take off from work to drive me around & take or daughter to school. I couldn't see. So, I'm wearing shades & staying indoors for the next 7+ days. My life is sheer madness right now. Here is my warning to all who reads this. ASK QUESTIONS , check credentials, make sure the technician washes her hands before going in the room with you (Kim did not do that) , look around the room. Make sure they have clean items set out, make sure you see them throw the items in the trash, make sure they wear gloves, & bring your own ointment to put on you afterward. Also, research online. These places are known for this type thing. I'm praying no one else has to encounter this madness & be treated this badly. Better yet, don't go to this place. read more

Kat is the best! She is very accommodating! The staff is very nice and professional! I love my nails and I always get powder nails and shellac on my toe nails and they have the same colors for both! I never have to wait long to get my nails done! Even with the new management it's great if not better!! They have also remodeled and it looks nicer in there! They offer free bottled water, which is nice on a hot summer day. April is also awesome, I went in for a refill and polish change and Kat was out so April did and she did great!!! read more

I had been here before, several years ago and thought they were a great place, fast forward to last Saturday. Thought I would spoil myself with at mani and pedi. Let's just say that my manicure will not live too long, the shape is round, which is file all of the way down on the sides, in doing so, these nails are basically the same length as my own. Not the shape I had in mind and definitely not the length. The pedi was awesome, the lady did a great job. I asked for a design, which a different lady came over to do. When she was finished, it looks horrible, it looks like a sparkling blob. Don't think I will revisit. read more

Horrible service. My husband and I came in for pedicures as a last minute thing for something to do while we were out. The ladies would not stop laughing at him. I guess they have never seen a man who takes care of his feet before. He was so embarrassed he had to walk out because they would not stop, even trying to get me to laugh with them. I don't think caring anout your appearance is funny. Very unprofessional service for what they charge. I could go down to Harwin and get a pedicure for half the price and stellar treatment. Management needs to upgrade the staff. I won't be back after how we were treated. I'm spending my hard earned money in here and this is what I get? Exactly what you pay for. Yea it's cheap but the nails you get are trash. There lumpy, they don't paint the whole nail, the nail shape is uneven. I told the lady to fix my nail 3 times and she didn't listen. Horrible place NEVER coming back. read more

I did eyelashes in Houston, but it made me ugly and hurt. So I came this shop to fix my eyelashes because my friend introduces to me. Jessica did very good job. I only paid $10 for fix and refill.
