I was referred for this pet hospital because others were booked out. I got an appointment booked and in 1 hours I was able to get my dog seen. The facility is quite clean and tidy. There was no strong animal smell which can be the case for some pet clinics. They have a nice clean restrooms for guest and the rooms for your pets to get checked is nice. Service: the front desk gal Nancy was very friendly and prompt. She got me taken care of right away. Catalina helped us get in the room and asked some critical questions for the doc. The vet doc was thorough and was empathetic to me. He understood how I felt and was offered a realistic prognosis about my dog. He sympathized that I was having a hard time hearing the news and offered care plans for my dog. There are different plans he can come up with if your budget does not allow. He can definitely work you with. I felt very comfortable with the staff and I felt like they cared about my feelings and what is happening to my dog. read more

I am fighting anger and bitterness at my cat's vet at this place. He continued to push past my instructions and insisted on a complete panel of bloodwork. With severe anemia, my cat needed a blood transfusion, not unnecessary bloodwork, esp when he had just had a full panel a couple of weeks before. . I had put him on a special anemia medicine and wanted a simple HCT check to see if the med was working. This man did not listen. There's nothing I can do about it now but cry, but I really need to get rid of this anger and bitterness!! Having a really, really hard time. read more

If I could give this hospital 0 stars, I would. I took my dog to this hospital due to her being disoriented, throwing up, excessively urinated, and not eating. Satender Kumar was dismissive and demeaning, he completely disregarded my concerns and my dog leading me to believe I was exaggerating her health condition. She was peeing clear urine excessively, maybe 6 times without control inside the clinic. Nobody informed me that clear urine is a sign of kidney failure, or that the excess vomiting could be a negative sign as well. After this visit I took her home and she did not improve, it was only after I took her to Abbys Hospital that I was told she was going through Kidney failure. If I had taken the advice of this hospital my dog would have died. For shame. read more

Dr. Kumar and the entire team at Maroa track were so kind and compassionate when we had to say goodbye to our older kitty. Alek was like a child to us and I'm so grateful for the care we were given in his last moments. They took the time to fully explain his condition and our options and we never felt rushed. I wish we had gone to Dr. Kumar sooner with the amount of knowledge we received in just one visit. Thank you especially to Marissa who treated us and our baby so gently and with so much empathy. Charging $425 to put a puppy down is ridiculous!!! Veterinarians need to be a little more giving when it comes to these situations.

They are truly wonderful! Their understanding and support made a real difference during a tough time. When my dog was in pain, with a swollen lymph node and a fever, I felt so worried. I brought her in that morning, and the team was incredibly caring. They ran lab tests and provided her with the medication she needed. Tried to sell me medicine my dog didn't need. I was asked to wait in my car while they took my dog in. I never got to meet the doctor or watch him check up on my dog. Only one star because I can't give 0. Bless the sweet lady who helped us until the excuse of a doctor, Satender Kumar, walked in. My dog hit his head very hard yesterday and hasn't been acting right all morning, vomiting and not eating.. lethargic. After happily shoving a finger where the sun doesn't shine he tells me my dog is old and his skull probably isn't broken. Goes on to suggest maybe the problem is arthritis or diabetes.. this was far out of left field and at this point I realized this guy knew nothing about concussions in canines and was just trying to get me to buy blood tests for anything he could come up with. I reminded him my dog was not like this just two days ago I know he's old but the aging process didn't just magically speed up over night.. he hit his head very hard and hasn't ate and vomited this morning. He asks me then if my dog vomited before or after he ate. SIR.. your notes probably say since it's one of the reasons we came in today.. my dog hasn't eaten. He then says that my dog is just old and by the lack of bump on his head the skull is probably not broken and finishes with "well what else is there to say".. so if you wanna pay 50 dollars for captain obvious to violate your pooch this is the place to go.. We recently adopted a 9mos. old German Shepard mix from the SPCA. Maroa Track was on the list of suggested vets they gave us for a first free visit. I choose them because they were super close to us and had lovely reviews. I am so happy with the choice. We took in our dog within a few days of adopting. He was neutered the day we adopted him at the SPCA and Maroa checked on him. They were professional and prompt all whilst managing COVID protocols. Unfortunately a few days later after his visit to them he started to get a very stuffy nose and battled kennel cough from the SPCA. Maroa has been so helpful and friendly with guidance and calls. They get you in to be seen so quickly and genuinely care. Our dog loves visiting them and we highly recommend them. We are so grateful to have found such a great vet so close to him. read more

I thought we'd found a good hospital, was going to make them our primary vet but the doctor was very disconnected. His first strike was when he wouldn't examine my dog. Mind you I paid for an exam. The doctor did not once touch my dog. I even asked him to listen to her lungs because that's why we're we're there, to have her chest examine cause she was in respiratory distress. What he said to me after I asked if he could listen to her lungs was "I can see from here she's breathing just fine". And I should mention that this was AFTER he asked me to keep a shorter lead because he wanted her closer to me. And I get it a 75 lb Doberman can be scary but he's a damn doctor. A full on veterinarian AFRAID of my 10 month puppy shouldn't be in the field. So I ignore all these red flags because she needs help. It's bad. He offered X-rays we take them and when they come back he tells me nothing is wrong. Tells me her lungs are clear everything is ok she just has a little fever that is coming and going and he prescribes some antibiotics and a shit ton of antinausea medicine and I'm talking over 300$ worth of medicine that will stop her from getting nauseous but we aren't there for nausea! We're there for respiratory distress! I decline most of the medication except for fluid therapy and antibiotics. She still is in respiratory distress all night, the following day I take the X-rays to another doctor. Elm Veterinary. He tells me something is clearly wrong in her intestines and that he can't understand why the doctor at Maroa Track would say everything is ok when he can see something wrong. The Elm doctor refers me to Armstrong Veterinary in Clovis. I take my dog there and the doctor there is amazing. He takes time to talk to us and figure out how she got so sick. He actually touches the dog, full on testing her stomach muscles, her intestines, checks her eyes, ears, gums, even takes her temp and checks all her lymph nodes. He finds a diagnosis of Gastric Dilation and gives us wet food with medicine that'll calm the swelling happening inside my dogs chest and intestines. An amazing doctor and might I add did it all for $150! Amazing prices. Now all of this happened over the course of last Sunday 4/30 to today Wednesday 5/3. Had I believed that doctor at Maroa Track what would've happened to my puppy? Everyone taking their animals to Maroa Track should know this doctor tells clients that their pets are perfectly fine WHEN THEYRE NOT. I feel like I should also add that the doctors at Armstrong and Elm said the X-rays taken at Maroa Track were very poor quality. This doctor at Maroa Track shouldn't be where he is, he didn't care to get to know his patients or clients, he pushes them out the door with a fat,fat,fat bill and hardly any treatment, he can't read his own X-rays, and he's afraid of the big ones. So I don't leave 5 star ratings often. But this place deserves it. I genuinely feel like God led me here. My cat was crying in pain when he would try and pee. I took him in (on a Sunday) and the staff was extremely compassionate and caring. The doctor was able to diagnose the problem quickly and decisively. It was expensive but the procedure saved my cats life. He was going into kidney failure because his urinary tract was blocked. They treated me with respect during the whole process even when there were issues with how I was going to pay my $2300 bill. But we got it paid and my little guy got his life extended. I've been to 5 other vets in fresno/Clovis area and this was by far my best experience. read more

i went to take my dog and he didnt get the treatment he deserved. and the nurses there made a rude comment towards my husband thinking I wouldn't say anything and the dr wanted me to go back to check him and apologize about his rude stuff mind you I live an hour and 30 minutes away so I can't just drive out there again just for an apology. They did my dogs neuter here a few years ago, when I arrived he somehow escaped from the back and greeted me in the lobby, with no cone on or anything. No idea how this occurred but reception tried to play off the whole ordeal by saying " wow he must of missed you a lot". I've been to at least five diff vets in the Fresno/Clovis area within the last few years searching for a place to call home base for our cats. Maroa is by far the best. They were the only ones who were truly compassionate and both our pets and our budget. Our one guy had kidney failure and could've died but they treated him right away (on a Sunday). The bill was a lot but would've been twice as much at an emergency vet. The next day I thought he was having complications so I brought him back and they did a follow up exam at no extra charge. I don't think I have ever waited over 20-30 minutes to be seen by the doctor. I have waited in some vet's office for 6-8 hours. The doctor is soft-spoken, kind, compassionate, and knowledgeable. Vet technician Naomi was extremely unprofessional she gave me rude responses and sarcastic face expressions when I asked questions about my pets medication plan and when she was applying a vaccine to my dog. I would not recommend Maroa track pet hospital to anyone who loves their pet and cares about their pet's health. On 4/6/21 I brought my cat (Kat) to have a foxtail removed from her nose. Kat's nose was visibly swollen and she had a small cut on the left side of her nose. She was having trouble breathing, eating, drinking water and sleeping due to the swelling and she couldn't stop sneezing. She was also pregnant during all of this. Dr Kumar tells me that it is very uncommon for a foxtail to be in a cat's nose. He tells me that her nose was swollen shut so he couldn't use a scope to look in her nose. He says the swelling was from the small cut she had and that antibiotics should be given to bring the swelling down. Once the swelling was down he would be able to look in her nose to see if there was a foxtail. I was charged $222.80 then told to return in 3 day. The antibiotics did nothing for Kat. I return on 4/9/21 as instructed. This appointment was to look in Kat's nose to check for a foxtail. Funny how now even though the nose is just as swollen as it was before he is able to look in her nose. Dr. Kumar called me to confirm that she was there to have her nose checked with a nasal probe to make sure nothing was in her nose. A couple hours later he finally calls. He tells me that he didn't find anything in her nose. Then he goes on to tell me that he decided to try something he's never done before on a cat. He starts to explain that he has cut the swollen tissue out of her nose. Tells me that he does this to dogs all the time but it's his first time trying it on a cat. It's not practical to do this on a cat's nose because their noses are to small he says but he wanted to see if it worked. He never had permission from me to do that to her. I was charged $650.00 and told to bring her back for a recheck. I watched my cat's nose heal closed. I found myself angry at this point. Knowing that something had to be done I called maroa track pet hospital and told them exactly how I felt about the situation. They told me to bring her in for a recheck. Feeling like I had no other choice on 4/30/21 I took Kat to be checked. She was due to have her kittens any day and she couldn't breath. After dropping her off Dr. Kumar calls me and tells me her nose has heal closed and he has to do the procedure again. This time enlarging her nasal passage to prevent it from healing closed again. I asked him if there was any other options. He said he'll do the procedure and if it doesn't work he will send us to a specialist. I asked him, will this second procedure drastically change Kat's face? He told me no, her nose will look different but nothing drastic. He made me think this was the only option. Before hanging up he tells me he's going to do it free of charge. I should of known right then what his real intentions were. He was trying to cover his ass from getting sued. He tells me I have to sign a consent for treatment before he can do anything. I don't know what kind of idiot this man is but anyone should know that signing a consent for treatment does not cover you for the treatment you did without the consent. Well when they brought Kat out to me after the procedure and I looked at her I was in shock, anger consumed me. He did not do anything like he said he was going to do. Kat had a hole in her face where he completely cut the entire side of her nose off. I agree to have her nasal passage enlarge. I never agreed to have one side of her nose cut off. The consent for treatment that I signed was not for what he actually did to her. The second day after the surgery Kat's nose was infected. She still couldn't breath and she was in labor having her kittens. I decided that I was not taking Kat back to Dr. Kumar. I felt that he did this to her maliciously and I believe he cause her infection to ensure that I would have to come back so he could collect more money from me. I took her to Waterhouse Animal Hospital of Clovis. Dr. Page calls me after taking a look at Kat and says to me "it is very uncommon for a foxtail to be in a cat's nose" the very same words Dr. Kumar said to me, so she swabbed the inside of Kat's nose and took a look under a microscope. She found bacteria and white blood cells so that confirmed that Kat defiantly had a infection from the surgery Dr. Kumar did. She also found spores. Long story short she sent the sample to the lab to confirm the spores and what kind they were. The result came back, Cryptococcus infection. Kat was suffering from a fungal infection. Everything Dr. Kumar did to my cat was 100% not necessary. I have been told that she will have to be a indoor cat for the rest of her life. She will suffer from allergy like symptoms (runny nose, sneezing, eyes watering, etc.) all year around because of what he did to her. Dr. Kumar will only drain your pockets. One more thing he had the nerve to lie on Kat's medical records. Which only confirms that he knows what he's doing is wrong and illegal. read more

Dr. Kumar was a bit rough while rechecking my cats infected ear after 4 weeks of applying medication. He made his middle ear infected and they refused to take further actions talking about, oh there is too much medication in there as of now and it should go away by itself. For 2 weeks my cat couldn't walk due to his ear and equilibrium being off. The infection came back stronger with a foul odor. I finally took him elsewhere and they sent me to a Specialist. $1200 out with these guys and $650 with ER Specialist. What pisses me off the most is that they took advantage of the situation and talked me into getting him vaccinatedon top of his bronchitis and ear infection. 2 weeks later, surprise booster shots that no one warned me about in the beginning were applied. Very poor communication. They only know how and when to charge. They don't even have the decency to even call and ask how their mess up is doing. DON'T BRING YOUR PETS HERE. They have too many heads for just 1 doctor and you will be charged to keep their lights on. read more

I took her in Monday for them to tell me she was "perfectly fine" & it was probably just her being in heat (I should've known better, I took my hamster here when he got sick & he ended up coming home worse than when he went it, & passing that night after his vet visit) As the week went on her symptoms go worse. We took her elsewhere for a second opinion & we were sincerely concerned for her just to find out she has pneumonia in her lungs! They definitely do not care for helping you or your pet out. My dog had his yearly shots due (coronavirus and rabies) so we called a couple days before to ENSURE they had the shots, which they said they did, so we scheduled the appt for Saturday. Come Saturday, they're telling me they "ran out" of the coronavirus shot for my dog. I was already there so I was okay with him just getting the rabies shot. While his in there, they call me again asking if I want to get his bordetella shot done as well since it was due in a couple weeks. I ASKED THE LADY, "will anything happen to him if we get it done at the same time?" And she's like no he'll be fine! So we proceed. 150 dollars later and we're on our way home. As SOON as we got home, we noticed him scratching his face allllll over and it was swelling up! I call them and tell them what's going on and they wanted me to send a picture through their email to show their doctor. I immediately sent the picture because his face is just swelling up more and more by the minute and I'm getting no response. Mind you, he's a frenchie so he already has a hard time breathing. I hop in the car and call back asking if they got the picture. The vet tech casually says "oh yes, I just got it.. I'll show the doctor right now" TF?! I told her, "I'm already on my way because his face is swelling up really bad" and she said okay just call us when you get here. (The first time we called we had an appt at 9:30 and they didn't take my dog in till 9:50) so I sure in the hell wasn't calling. The whole ride there my dog is just panting, his face is red and irritated af, it's bigger than when we first noticed, and I was just freaking out cause I'm thinking what the hell did they do to him! We get there, I hop off the car and start walking up to the gate when one rude ass blonde girl comes up and meets me. I'm explaining to her that I don't feel comfortable having him go in alone because I had just dropped him off an hour ago and look at what happened. She proceeds to tell me some shit about coronavirus (which is understandable to a point, I'm not one to argue about coronavirus but my dog was literally panting so bad that I felt like she should've at least let just me in to comfort him as well as comfort myself) so I'm asking her what are they gonna do to them and this girl has the audacity to say "well I'm not the vet" no shit huh? Anyways, I hand over my dog and like 20 minutes later the vet calls me. He's telling me he thinks he had a reaction to the shots or some bull about pollen, then explains everything he's goes to do BUT WANTS TO MAKE SURE I can pay 298 dollars before proceeding. LOL! I don't mind paying anything, but you would think he would be more worried about treating a dog who's about to go into shock rather than making sure I had my payment first. I'm like, "can you just start the procedure I don't really care?!" And he goes okay we'll start that now. Whole time my dog is probably freaking the fuck out in there, hardly being able to breath and shit. Long story short, this place is just money hungry AF! Don't give them your business please. I used to go here when my dog was just a pup but quickly realized they were money hungry a year ago. And they let me and the dog in car waiting for over an hour. There reason is that appointments come first. And I agree. But I just need 15 Seconds of their time to scan the dog. And now that I complained they are purposely skipping me with each new person that pulls up. I moved close to this clinic and was going to have the vet care for my 4 animals but not anymore.
