Thank you guys for answering all my questions about my puppy with parvo and walking me through everything also with working with my budget you guys helped me save my baby

This is Bobby. Shes 18 yrs old. He helped me so much

This place has always treated my cats with respect and very thoughtful... the vet is serious about his work and provides you options instead of saying this is what you must do.. he understands that I do things homeopathic and is not judgmental towards me.. he listens very well and asks many questions..

Only one star because I can't give 0. Bless the sweet lady who helped us until the excuse of a doctor, Satender Kumar, walked in. My dog hit his head very hard yesterday and hasn't been acting right all morning, vomiting and not eating.. lethargic. After happily shoving a finger where the sun doesn't shine he tells me my dog is old and his skull probably isn't broken. Goes on to suggest maybe the problem is arthritis or diabetes.. this was far out of left field and at this point I realized this guy knew nothing about concussions in canines and was just trying to get me to buy blood tests for anything he could come up with. I reminded him my dog was not like this just two days ago I know he's old but the aging process didn't just magically speed up over night.. he hit his head very hard and hasn't ate and vomited this morning. He asks me then if my dog vomited before or after he ate. SIR.. your notes probably say since it's one of the reasons we came in today.. my dog hasn't eaten. He then says that my dog is just old and by the lack of bump on his head the skull is probably not broken and finishes with "well what else is there to say".. so if you wanna pay 50 dollars for captain obvious to violate your pooch this is the place to go.. EDIT... the clown himself responds.. now saying I had the option not to pay? Would have been nice to know buddy!

My 10 month old puppy girl that the doctor at Maroa Track Animal Hospital was too afraid to do the exam THAT WE PAID FOR.

Charging $425 to put a puppy down is ridiculous!!! Veterinarians need to be a little more giving when it comes to these situations.

We were told there would be a wait, which was expected as it is a first priority based place. What was not expected was to be told either pay $165 to wait for hours in a room and then pay an additional $2000 for bloodwork, X-rays, etc. or to just pay the $2000 up front to "skip the line". No vet looked at her, there was no exam, there was not even an idea of what could be causing this or what they would be testing for. After discussing with my husband, we thought we would try to keep her comfortable at home until our vet opened in the morning. We were home for an hour and then our dog began throwing up blood as well as pooping it. I decided to take her back because I was so worried she was getting dehydrated. Her gums were looking pale at this point and the diarrhea and vomit was constant. I took her back in and paid the $165 for the room. They knew why I was there because I had already come in. They had me wait two hours before anyone came in. At this point, my dog had been having bloody diarrhea and bloody vomit for 8 hours NONSTOP. I had to go to the receptionist and ask for dog pads because my dog was getting blood all over myself and all over their floors. I also went to the receptionist after two hours had past and asked if anyone was coming to see my dog. She seemed surprised no one had yet. She went to the back room to ask and that's when I got really upset. Their walls are thin and I heard every word and someone back there had the audacity to say, "Well if she hadn't left we would have seen her already!" This made me extremely upset. I was already heartbroken that I could do nothing for my dog and feeling helpless and sobbing and to hear that was like a slap in the face. So when the vet tech came into the room I was really upset after he told me that two hours later all they would do is the $2000 blood work. I asked if they could get her fluids, anti nausea, ANYTHING TO MAKE HER COMFORTABLE while we were waiting. He refused and repeated what I heard through the walls. That it was my fault I didn't stay earlier. I was even told that I would have to leave her overnight...the place closed at 7 am and it was already 3:30 am at this point. By the time they did all of this testing and got me results and a treatment plan, I could have taken her into her vet that opened at 7:00 am and that's exactly what I did. And that's when I made the decision that I would rather have my dog of 7 years die in my arms at home then give one cent to these people. I got ahold of her amazing vet and they got her in right away, knew immediately that she had HGE based on her symptoms and giving her a BASIC physical examination, and started treating her immediately. I paid $2,800 for EVERYTHING: bloodwork, xray, medications, treatment, hospitalization for three days, etc. When I was being asked to pay $2000 up front at this place with no ideas of what it could be and refusal to start anything that could possibly make her feel any better. My problem was not the wait. Or the order of priority. My problem is that they will not do anything to help your dog when it is clearly in distress and dying without intervention. Fluids are a BASIC essential to vomiting to help with dehydration. So is an anti nausea. Anything to stop the vomiting or diarrhea and then they could have ran every test in the world. On top of that, I was basically shamed into trying to make the best decision for the dog that I love and consider family. I'm so disturbed by this place and how they so clearly prey on vulnerable people in the Central Valley who have no where else to go in an emergency. I will never go here again and I hope you read the reviews on here and make the same decision.

Thank goodness I listened to our friend who is a retired veterinarian. Dr. Yu and staff kept me in the loop at all times. Saw her X-ray, stayed with there as they treated her for bladder stones. Surgery was required. Dr. Yu called me at 2 am about his findings and her prognosi. Long story short, she went back and forth from there to regular vet (they are only there from 6pm to 8am) for several days. Another surgery, another 2 am phone call. It has been VERY expensive, but doc was up front about my dog's prognosis. Even though home, Dr. Yu has called several times with information about cultures and medications, and to check on her progress. She is 6 days out now and full of life and pep again. VEC and the kind, competent staff is responsible for her recovery. It got down to how much we were willing/able to pay for this life that totally depends on us. Instead of addressing the situation professionally and taking accountability for the confusion, the behavior we experienced was unacceptable. They didn't even charge me for the doctors exam for the $189 they only charged us for the euthanasia. Found this place on Yelp and this was our second choice since our first choice did not answer their phone. We made a quick appt over the phone and it was smooth sailing. They said to come back within 2-3 hrs which was fine with us cus then he should be done right after our son gets out of school. They never called or texted till way later. No special haircut or anything cus from what they said, our fluffy frenchie should not be cut like shaved off a lot cus they said his hair might not grow back a lot. So the lady told us to try to train him on that?.. the regular trim came wit cleaning ears and cutting nails so it was I think $80 or $85. I think it would've been $10 more for teeth brushing.. they added a lil bandana as well to his neck. So cute.
