I had recently built my first PC and whole setting windows up I fidgeted around with some settings I really shouldn't have. Long story short whatever settings I flicked kept causing my PC to crash, restart, and display blue error screens. I was awake until 4 in the morning troubleshooting everything I could until I realized whatever was the issue was far out of my expertise. I found this place on YELP right before bed and requested a quote, falling asleep immediately after very distraught. They called me early next morning and requested me to come in for repairs. Upon arrival they were so kind and explained everything to me in detail what they were going to do. Had to update this review now that I have my laptop back. I had ordered a new screen for them to install and it wasn't visible and we couldn't get the brightness up. After ordering another screen, Chris asked to keep the laptop over the weekend and the worked on it for several days. Ends up, it was a fuse the size of an ant that he finally found that was broken. He got it fixed and got the laptop put back together. He didn't stop until he got it figured out. Really really appreciate all the effort they put in to getting my laptop fixed and back to me. Let met start off by saying Caesar is truly a WIZARD! 1.5 hour service @ 10pm, completely free of charge! I am 20 years old at UCSD studying computer science and previously volunteered for a computer repair nonprofit, so I'd say I have a decent understanding of my computer. For the past year, I've experienced blue screens of deaths (BSODs) sporadically with no specific reason for the cause. I've went on plenty of YouTube videos, The Tech Guys, and online help forums, but none of them were working. I thought it was time to toss in the white towel and hire a specialist. Last night at 10pm, I requested a quote from other companies, which ranged from $150 - $200 and that doesn't even cover the $40 diagnostics fee. But I was ready to scoff that amount of money because I need my PC fixed before the school year began. Staying true to his company name, he responded literally 15 minutes later saying to call him. In about 10 minutes into a phone call, he was able to diagnose the problem being a partition failure saying that the reason I only have 2 partitions instead of 4 is because two of them are corrupted. Therefore, it wouldn't properly run my computer. Caesar explained that there are multiple partitions to begin with is because HP intentionally did this so that there is a higher chance of the computer crashing, thus getting customers to buy new computers. The cause of the partitions failing is because without a strong connection to wifi, parts of the windows updates will be skipped or not fully updated and eventually this becomes incompatible with the partitions, thus causing them to fail in 3-5 years. In about an hour, he helped me download windows 10 pro because it has a much better user experience where the number of partitions is irrelevant. He took control of my computer and made me create a bootable thumb drive through torrent and deleted all the partitions I currently have except for one that's called unallocated in order to rebooted from there. I let windows 10 pro install and set up my account and here I am now. At parts during the installation process, he talked a bit of his background explaining he's a UCLA CS masters graduate. He gave me a ton of advice for me to help me with my career and explained the origins of starting his company. We both clearly shared similar visions and I aspire to provide for the community while simultaneously doing what he loves in the future. I was extremely impressed with the level of service I received and would highly recommend 24/7pcTech to anyone in need of computer repair services. You did call me the B word, your technician heard, my husband heard it. Just learn from your mistakes. I still have my computer glued together with a duct tape up to now!!! And I paid you 280 to do that job. And also PLEASE do not use God's name in vain just to lure people to use your business and just to convince people of your lies. They do not guarantee their work/service. After repairing my iMac, the screen fell off the following day. And so I sent Cesar the owner a picture on what happened to my screen's iMac. It took a technician more than one week to come over and try to repair the problem. When the technician came in, I was informed that he was only there to assess the problem. And that I needed to order the part that they used to tape/glue in my screen ( the screen tape was provided by the technician and I was charged for it and used to close back the computer initially ). Cesar also mentioned that they can duct tape my computer while waiting until I buy the part. The owner told me that I have to buy my own computer part. He said that they do not guarantee the materials they use when repairing computers. He said that " his business is just like a car dealership, in a car dealerships, people bring in the part that is needed to fix the car!!! I don't know what dealership he is talking about but when I take my car to a dealership. Their work and services are guaranteed. At the end the true color of Cesar came out, he started being rude over the phone and even called me a "bitch". Bottom line he is only nice when he wants your money and business. I guess my previous review didn't go through for whatever reason, so I'm writing another one. I want to start off by saying how helpful Chris was! My gaming laptop was having performance issues, skipping, fps drops, etc Cesar contacted me super quickly and they were able to get me in the next day, so that was great! When I spoke with Cesar on the phone I told him what was going on with my computer, and what I was wanting done, including diagnostics because I wanted to make sure there was nothing else wrong that we weren't aware of. I was ensured the price was including diagnostics in addition to the other things they planned to do. So the next day rolls around, I take my laptop in, Chris and I go over everything that will be done with it, as he asked what Cesar told me was included in the price he quoted me. When I listed off the things that Cesar said was included, I had mentioned diagnostics, and at one point said that that was a huge part of why I brought it in, for diagnostics to ensure nothing else was wrong. Everything went smoothly with the repairs and such and so I picked up my laptop afterwards. Unfortunately, I ended up getting sick that evening so I really didn't touch the laptop until the next day. While it was running games smoothly, suddenly the laptop wouldn't stay on. It was just randomly powering down. Now, like I said, Chris was super helpful and patient because I was in contact with him the following week or so afterwards as I was trying to figure out the issue with my laptop. Eventually, Chris tells me that diagnostics was not done on the laptop, so there was a miscommunication somewhere, and suggested I get in contact with Cesar. So, of course I tried to contact Cesar and ask if we can call at some point. The problem here is I never heard back from him. I feel really bad because I think they are really great tech guys, I just think there was some miscommunication and now I'm just kind of sitting here with no computer because I never heard back from anyone. I'm going to end up just getting a desktop, but it would have been nice to hear back as I kind of feel like I paid for something to be done but it wasn't done, ie the diagnostics part. read more
