Bought a National membership here and got a tour from Shan, chill guy. I should've inspected the equipment first before putting my card down because at least 1/3 of the entire gym equipment was out of service, even the women's restroom stalls... let's wait and see if anything ever gets replaced - which I highly doubt given the accumulation of unusable workout gear. Dumbbells and plates aren't organized, not much luck trying to find a weight in the correct area or in ascending order. read more

It's crazy. I live 10 minutes away from the Compton 24 hour but everything is broken and rundown so I took the 20 minute drive to the Carson facility and what a difference everything looks upgraded. The sauna and steam are working. They have way better machinery from cardio to weights even the staff and the gym in general just looks clean. . read more

The renovation ruined this place. Carson 24 had its issues before the renovations but it was issues that were not big of deal. It was just dirty and needed new equipment. But asking for new equipment didn't mean to change them. They literally took out all the machines that differed 24 from other gyms. Might as well get a Planet or Crunch pass now because it's the same machines. no reason to spend more. Whoever they have in charge of selecting the equipment and the VM needs a drastic reconsideration because not a single OG member is rocking with the new remodeling of this location. Wow, 5 years later! Things haven't changed except the broken machines are now located upstairs. SMH! So much for renovated! I am impressed about the turf added and the child care room that turned into a private training room for an added fee of course. I would make a suggestion that they hire someone to fix the broken treadmills and elliptical machines so that every other machine doesn't have a "temporarily not in service" sign on it or whatever it says. And pls check that the displays on the ones that work actually show the numbers such as calories, time elapsed, etc. read more

This gym is unsanitary and disgusting! Roaches and crickets in the sauna. The steam room smells like mold! The work out equipment is always broken. The staff is rude as hell! When I tried alerting the staff to the pest problem I was told by the person working the front desk that he has no way of letting the general manager know of my concerns. I need to email her myself. What properly run business does not have a means for their staff/employees to document customer's issues so that they can address them?!?! What am I paying for? A dirty gym and poor customer service. They do not enforce gym etiquette at all...let girls take 3 sets of weights and at same time using two or three equipment...u say something at front they say nothing they can do about it. They do not have enough dumbells and the bathrooms are always always dirty... they just don't enforce their own posted rules. read more

My go to gym for 3 years now, it's always had plenty to offer but now it's even better after the renovations. It feels a lot more spacious & has some of the newest machines! Staff is always great, personally I enjoy the Yoga classes with Nancy. read more

This review is for Zumba enthusiasts only! I've been going to Zumba classes at 24 Hour Fitness for a while now, and I just have to give a shoutout to Jeorge and Antonio. These two are seriously amazing. Their classes are so much fun....you're dancing, laughing, sweating, and before you know it, the hour is up and you've had an awesome workout. They bring such great energy every time, and they really know how to keep everyone motivated. No matter what kind of day I'm having, I always leave their class in a better mood. On top of that, their classes have played a huge part in helping me reach my fitness and weight loss goals. I've seen real changes in my body and energy levels, and I know a big part of that is thanks to them. If you're thinking about trying a class, do it. Jeorge and Antonio are the real deal, and I honestly can't recommend their classes enough! read more

I used to love this gym and have been coming here for over 10 years. Yes, some of the machines were old and needed to be replaced, but after the renovation, this place has gone downhill. All they really did was move things around and get rid of the good equipment without adding anything better. They even added massage chairs that cost an extra $10 a month to use, which is pretty ridiculous. Now I'm probably going to have to find another 24 Hour Fitness unless they seriously make improvements. And based on what I'm hearing, I'm definitely not the only one who feels this way. read more

It had been over a year since I have been to this location to renew my membership, I went to the men's locker room to check out the cleanliness past the steam room, I walked to my left to check the pool but turned around quickly when I saw the W indicating women's locker room, I asked a young African American if their was a pool and he quickly accused me of being a creep and had seen me two months ago, I replied that he had mistaken me for someone else, as was leaving I saw the young physically fit black male complaining and pointing at me as he threatened to attack me, a 64 year Caucasian outside. I guess I can't complain but still you would have thought the bathroom doesn't look like you're in a 3rd world country with things being out of service or missing textiles. For starters the parking lot is huge, there's no excuse to not find one parking spot. The staff are cool, sometimes they will welcome you and tell you to have a good day when they are not busy. The men's locker room is in pretty bad condition, most of the lockers are peeled off and dirty in the inside. Despite mopping the floor, it stays dirty but it could be because many people walk in and out. The men's restroom stinks so bad you won't doubt they don't clean efficiently. Now for the gym....the machines, weights, benches are old compared to other 24 Hour gyms. You can still get a good workout with the equipment but it would be better if you could see new things. Most of the time you'll find towels and spray bottles to disinfect but they run out quick when the gym gets busy. It would be better if the gym's hours were extended. read more

Cancelled my gym membership right after COVID shut everything down. It's been a year and a half +. Signed up again with their Black Friday deal. Went to the gym. 4 cars in the parking lot. I walk in and no one is at the front desk. I go to the weights and do my push ups sets. I'm there for like 10 minutes and some guy walks up to me not in uniform and asks how long I've been inside. I'm like "idk like 15 minutes. Do you work here?" "Yea were closed boss" "Uhhh since when?" "5am - 9pm every day" "Ooook" I walk outside.
