From the care they provide to their partnership with rescues, they truly seem to love what they do and always keep the pets comfort and health in mind. Our rescue foster was showing symptoms of a progressively accelerating URI so with one days notice, our rescue director found a way to have Lakeside fit him in. It took awhile for him to be seen but that was somewhat expected given the situation. The team took extra precautions not to infect the other animals (as respiratory infections are contagious) while also making our pup feel like a king instead of a walking infection. He had a few things going on health wise so it was nice to see them build him a plan, ask if we'd like to move forward after presenting the pricing, and send us a written plan to take home. They mentioned following up in a few days. All in all, this was a really positive experience. read more

This place SUCKS!!!!!!! And this POS "Dr" Emily Kuo, she should have her license revoked!!! We've been going to this place for 18 years! We've spent thousands and thousands of dollars at this place. In the beginning their staff seemed more DECENT, CARING, we had a positive experience there obviously or else we wouldn't have kept going back but at the same time the more time that has gone by this place SUCKS and SUCKS more and more and I can't STRESS enough to you that if you truly LOVE and truly CARE about your furry kid then a little bit of free advice, STAY THE HELL AWAY from this GARBAGE CAN place!!!!!!! First off, it SUCKS to go to a place where you've previously spent thousands and thousands of dollars at and be treated like it's your first time walking into their front door! But, even if it is someone's first time coming here or to any vet's office they should be treated with the upmost respect, especially if they walk in with a furry kid in distress like our 6 year old French Bulldog was today. What did we get IMMEDIATELY!!! Sign here, pay $180 bucks IMMEDIATELY! Next we were told we needed to have X-rays taken. And immediately we were JUICED for an extra $200 bucks because they were needed on the spot(hell this was the LEAST busy I had ever seen this place???!!!)!!! So, we pay upfront for this(even though we knew we were getting hosed, especially on the extra $200 for immediate X-rays), a total of around $1,000 bucks! And here is what is making my blood boil!!! This SORRY NO GOOD Emily Kuo comes in before the X-rays were done and she at first said that our boy was looking good, was doing fine BUT that he did needed to go to a 24 hour care facility since they're not one and whenever I asked if they had X-ray results that saw if he had swallowed anything she said "NO." But he was "looking good, was doing fine!" BS... I asked her to confirm that an X-ray would show any blockage and she said "yes, it would." So WHY/HOW was he "looking good, doing fine!" She flips us off to Vergi Animal Hospital(like she was getting a commission for him to go there), she/they rented us 2 bottles of oxygen to get him there, and he passed away 10 minutes after he got there(and that POS place made us pay them an $1,850 deposit before they would even look at him)! So 2 SORRY vet's who care nothing about a furry kid but oh do they care about JUICING every single $$$ that they can get out of someone!!! And this is TRULY PATHETIC, DISGUSTING, AND JUST FLAT OUT WRONG!!! I get every business has to make $$$ but the lack of decency this place has is sickening!!! To get our poor little guy out of their care this B sold my wife on some BS on how he probably had some illness that was treatable(you know to sell hopes and dreams)!!! My wife, daughter, and I of course or all heart broken and in disbelief about losing our boy and then to have to have dealt with BS SCUMBAGS like these people are was/is just too much!!! It has taken me some time to write this review since it's painful. I noticed my cat panting with white gums one day and looked it up, the internet recommended bringing them into the vet immediately. Since I felt this was an emergency I called everywhere to see how quickly a vet could see us. This place took us in immediately. Upon entering, the front staff were joking and taking their sweet time. Since I felt like my cat was having an emergency I felt that was inconsiderate, but brushed it off assuming they didn't think so. Then we got into the office and the nurse took FOREVER. I just kept getting more and more worried as my cat looked worse and worse. The vet walked in and seemed sweet, but pushed very expensive long term treatment. I decided to get the X-rays and basically he said my cat looked fine. He then injected my cat without my permission. When I got home my cat quickly declined. Within mere hours my cat passed away. I don't blame this place for the passing of my kitty. But I absolutely blame them for taking my money, being disrespectful, and overall failing to see(or tell me) that my cat was in trouble and recommending me to an emergency room. read more

Our first visit to Lakeside was in April of 2018 when I needed to find a good vet to perform dental cleaning on my dog, Napoleon. I was nervous as he is small and had never undergone anesthesia, so I wanted to find a facility that was well equipped and experienced. The team at Lakeside was kind, courteous, professional as they put my worries at ease explaining everything and they did a wonderful job on his dental. Since 2018, we've seen both Dr. Wiltshire and Dr. Kuo for a variety of issues for Napoleon - from the routine annual exams and vaccinations to more scary situations like HGE, injuries, and even a splenectomy when we found a nodule during his exam. Every time Napoleon is sick, I know I can count on the team at Lakeside to listen to my concerns and help address it to get him healthy again. You can really tell when people love their job and you can tell the team at Lakeside do love animals and treat them well working with them. I've always had a wonderful experience here with every provider and staff and over the years have recommended all my family and friends to visit the clinic for their pet needs. Everyone has came back to me with glowing reviews of the clinic. We can't speak highly enough of their team here. Services are way higher than other clinics. The vet was nice but you only receive an estimate after the visits not prior. Had to pay a 80$ exam fee and received a $500+ estimate after my exam. The first exam was free, came in last year but wasn't aware of that important note that first exam was free not when scheduling this year. When I called and asked I wasn't given and estimate and told it would only be provided after the exam. Check out other clinics for your basic needs for your pet before visiting. I left and came to Petworks and now still have to pay ANOTHER exam but getting more affordable services. Such a waste of time and money. $80 down the drain. I found this clinic via Yelp and decided to give them a try based on reviews. It's a bit of a hike for me, but it's near my mom's house and I figured I (hopefully) won't need to go often. Regardless, it's worth the drive because the staff is awesome, the clinic seems clean and doesn't smell like wet dog, and best of all... the vets are super responsive to your messages! I'm a first time pet owner, so I don't know if that's normal for vet service, but I know I can't email my doc without paying for an office visit! :-/ Anyway, you can tell the staff loves animals and they take their time to answer your questions. read more

Lost my kitten because of incompetence of the doctors at a clinic. They gave her few strong medications that cannot be given to the small organism that barely has any flora or immunity. So, it backfired. Kitten lost energy, appetite and after we took her to them as an emergency measure, they stabilized her and sent us home. The very same night she passed away. I wish these so called doctors would do the real job saving these animals and not just a regular stuff that any veterinarian student can do. Very disappointed in this place. We are from Waco area and asked before we left Waco for a VET referral " just in case" when we are in Houston. We ended up seeing Dr Andrea Stone 4 times over 2.5 months. She was great, and had a lot of experience with IMHA. My dog had various issues and she was very helpful. They are good about getting you in quickly, since everything with my do tends to be a crisis. Dr. Bush and everyone there did everything possible to help my 17 year old pup when she needed an important surgery due to a prolapsed vulva. Not only did they spay and reconstructed her vulva, they also helped me with dental care and extractions she really needed. All was reasonably priced in my opinion. Their urgency, compassion, and dedication truly showed when I called them that Wednesday morning, and made a consultation and surgery possible for her the same day. If you love your pet, do NOT take them here. Last year, my dog got super sick after his annual shots even when I expressed concern with his ability to take them. I took him for an in between check up and he didn't even seem normal after I picked him up. This year, I reminded them that he needed to split up his shots. They agreed sending an email confirming. I even made multiple appts to accommodate him getting his shots in two appts. Well, I had my boyfriend take him and they STILL GAVE HIM ALL OF HIS SHOTS. Not only that, but they charged me $130 for medication that he doesn't even take for fleaguard. After I sent an email saying I would order his typical Sentinel online. I don't know if they were trying to run a scam on me or if it's just that bad of communication. So, $450 later, I have a sick dog, medicine my dog doesn't take, and I have to return on the other side of town to return the medicine that wasn't required to get my refund. My girlfriend and I take both of our dogs here for veterinary care and decided to board them here for our weekend vacation. As much as we already pay for vet care and had to pay for boarding I assumed they would be well taken care of while we were away. Both of our dogs are kennel trained and used to being in the kennel for 8 hours at a time while we are away for work. When we picked them up it turned out that both of them had to be bathed and their beds and blankets washed because they were not taken outside in time or enough for that matter. I've never seen my dogs need to urinate so much when we picked them up. We are extremely disappointed and will be taking our dogs elsewhere for veterinary care now. I feel the need to provide an update. Dr. Wiltshire diagnosed my cat, Sage, with a chronic condition, and I have felt even more relieved to have found him. The testing was thorough, and Dr. Wiltshire completely explained what each test would show and/or eliminate. Dr. Wiltshire's diagnosis was able to change Sage. Now, Sage has a medication he takes daily, and he acts like his old self. I genuinely feel like Dr. Wiltshire and his team care about their patients. Whenever I need something for Sage, they are extremely attentive, and I completely trust Dr. Wiltshire to always recommend what's best for him. It is such a relief to have a vet that cares so much and is so knowledgable. Our cat's diagnosis wasn't easy, but Dr. Wiltshire had it entirely under control. So I recently moved to the area and have been looking for a vet for my dogs. My older Boston has severe allergies, so I had to make sure I went to a good place. After reading the other reviews on Lakeside, I decided they would be a good fit - and I was not disappointed! From the moment we arrived, the staff was friendly and attentive to my dogs - I swear they each got about 6 treats a piece from different team members. Adriel was so good with them in the exam room and tolerated Johnny's constant jumping and everything. Adriel also explained everything that was recommended, and gave me a price estimate for all the different treatments before I agreed to them, which I appreciated. He was also honest about whether or not my dogs needed a particular item - also appreciated, with it being near the holidays - I need to save where I can! Dr. King also took the time to really explain the things she was looking at, and how to treat different things. While I love my previous vet in Michigan, they never once suggested dental care for my dogs, which they clearly need. I also like that she's treating everything with injections because daily pills can be hard to remember! Lastly, I love that I got sent home with a "report card" of sorts. I typically have saved all their vet reciepts because they outlined what I paid for, but these reports were detailed and even though I may not know what everything is, it's nice to be able to have it in front of me to see what they actually did and assessed. I have a senior dog im traveling with for work who doesnt care for travel. He stopped eating because of the stress. I was recommended this veterinary and made an appointment, they were able to get me in next day. The staff was incredibly helpful and sweet! After some bloodwork they sent him home with some appetite stimulant and some joint chewys. I've been seeing Dr. Wiltshire for over 7 years and he has treated my fur babies with such love and care that I could not ask for a better person to care for my babies. I went to seek a 2nd opinion for my Doberman who was very sick and was giving a short chance of survival from a different vet. My girl is still with me today! I've already wrote a review regarding my past visit, but I just had to do an update because everything here is phenomenal! Dr. Suttle is no longer with Lakeside Clinic, so I scheduled to see Dr. Wiltshire for my two dogs. First off, the staff is always so welcoming! They're all smiles and always greet you when you come in! Clean office and spacious waiting room seating! The nurse (I unfortunately couldn't get his name) was kind, prompt and friendly. My little diva pup wasn't so fond of him, but she's like Mariah Carey - hard to please lol he handled her so well despite her demeanor - very professional. Dr. Wiltshire is awesome! I was really bummed when I found out that Dr. Suttle was no longer working there, but Dr. Wiltshire is just as great! He came in with a great, friendly attitude, was very attentive and listened to my concerns, even when I got side tracked and started talking about something else! He was so gentle with my dogs and explained everything thoroughly! Dr. Wiltshire was in no way judgmental or rude - you can definitely tell he loves his job! I am a 40+ min drive from his clinic since I moved, but this place is worth it! - Now, what I absolutely love about this place is that they are NOT here to suck your wallet dry! I had two dogs with uncontrollable and frequent diarrhea and Dr. Wiltshire and the nurse took every step to make sure they did what was truly necessary and even offered options on what was more affordable. The nurse even noticed a pricing error and made sure it was fixed immediately! I've been to other veterinarian offices and they literally charge you for every. single. service/testing. This clinic is affordable and their priority is your pet's health - not your money. Lakeside deserves a 5 star rating and more! Love the staff here! I recently moved to a different area coming from Sugarland and I was in search for a new Vet clinic for my little maltipom due to distance. I came across this place due to reviews from both Yelp and Google and hear nothing but good things from the Drs. and staff. Therefore, I decided to give this place a shot and upon arrival I was greeted with warm friendly smiles! They came over to check on him and even gave him a treat & cheese whiz! Of course he loved it. I've used this clinic for the past 6 years as more of a groomers because I really loved their bath and nail cut/grinding package. We have a family vet that we don't want to leave so I ONLY use Lakeside for baths 1-2x/month. EVERY time I go they try to say I need something done extra (ie: vaccines, heartguard, whatever it is it always involves being seen by the vet). I keep telling them I don't use them as my vet. Now after all these years they are saying I HAVE TO HAVE A VET VISIT at least once a year by them even though they aren't my vet to just have them bath my dog!?! They are soo pushy it's so frustrating. Forget it guys... I'm just going to have a doggie detailer come to my house.
