I asked for the price before my appt ($75) which I thought was bit steep for an updo but I thought well if it's that expensive and she's asking me to have my hair washed she must be good. WRONG. I feel bad for the lady honestly because she said she's been doing hair for a long time & was even a cosmo instructor and I think she tried her best but if I've learned one thing from having my hair done is if your ask for an updo and she doesn't style your hair at all prior to starting the updo just get up from the chair and walk out the door because you will more than likely hate it. I knew I should have just left when I had her start over twice and then began explaining to her how she could possibly do it so that i would like it. Bobby pins & hair spray was all she really did. I think she curled like a few pieces with a straightener after it was in the bun. I kid you not when I sat in my car and closed the door 2 pins fell out of my hair. I'm not sure how that was supposed to last all night at a wedding. I paid $75 dollars just drive home, take it down and do a better job myself. Don't go here for important events lucky I had time to fix my hair but it could have easily ended up in a disaster. You're better off just looking up hair tutorials on TikToK. Short summary: extremely rude experience, rough handling of my hair, surprise extra charges,…read moremisleading reviews, and braids that started unraveling the same day. I would never return. I booked an appointment for a blow dry and braids. I arrived with my hair already washed and brushed, but instead of being greeted professionally, I was immediately met with an annoyed look because of the length of my hair. There was no hello, no kindness, just attitude from the moment I walked in. I was never asked beforehand about my hair length, and my hair is not even down my back, so if length was an issue, that should have been discussed before the appointment. During the blow dry, the dryer was on maximum heat with no heat protectant used at all. My hair was being ripped through aggressively, and it felt like the stylist was taking out her frustration on me. Throughout the process, she kept saying things like "oh my god," "this is too much," and sighing heavily, which made the entire experience uncomfortable and embarrassing. It got so bad that I asked if I could just leave because I felt so uncomfortable, but I was told no and that it would be fine. After putting me through all of that, I was then told I couldn't even get the style I originally wanted because of my hair length. There was also an issue because of my height, and instead of handling it professionally, the seating situation was awkward and uncomfortable. First, I was given a stool to sit on. Then I was moved to a separate chair where I had to sit in an uncomfortable position the entire time. Not once did she ask if I was okay throughout this entire process. To make matters worse, I was charged extra at the end because of the length of my hair. I will say the process was fast and the final look was not terrible, but once I got home, the glue used to secure the ends of the braids started unraveling right away. So not only was the experience rude and stressful, but the style did not even last. Also keep in mind they ask clients to leave 5-star reviews in exchange for a discount, so I would be cautious when looking at their ratings.

Instead of creating a welcoming environment, it often feels negative and uncomfortable. It's also disheartening to see so many longtime stylists leave. As a customer, that says a lot about the work environment. What I found especially unprofessional was hearing previous stylists being spoken about negatively. Regardless of what happened behind the scenes, publicly criticizing former employees or discussing their financial situations is inappropriate and reflects poorly on the business. Clients shouldn't be put in the middle of workplace drama. I genuinely hoped this salon would continue to thrive because it once had talented stylists. Sadly, the professionalism and positive atmosphere that originally brought me here seem to be gone. I won't be returning, and I can no longer recommend this salon based on my experience.
