I love the wide variety of side dishes, and the portions are just the right size. Unlike many Korean restaurants that automatically serve banchan, here you can choose the sides you actually want, which means no waste. Everything is delicious -- especially the sides like soondubu, bibimbap, steamed egg, japchae, and kimchi. 2N1 KBBQ has some good and bad things going on, and I'll cover them both here. Good: the service. Despite being responsible for several tables and a couple of large parties, Wally the server managed to provide decent service. We rarely were waiting for anything, and once the order was made the food arrived quickly. Some of the cuts of meat were very tender and good. The ribeye was of decent quality and SOME of the marinated galbi had good flavor. The restaurant is new, so it's clean and well lit. Cons: not being able to order everything off the menu at once is annoying. So the prime meats get cooked on a wire mesh grill, while everything else requires the standard grill. Because of this, you can order only certain meats at a time. So if I want Hawaiian beef and a ribeye you are SOL. Also, several of the flavored items had zero flavor. We ordered chicken bulgolgi and it was the blandest thing you can image. One of the marinated galbi was the same way. They had not let these items sit long enough to get any taste. The sides are super small. I had to order rice paper four times to get enough for the table, and there was only three of us. Lastly, the music. It is not appropriate to be playing the non edited version of Sexy Can I by Ray J. N**ga this and F* that on music with my toddler was not appropriate. We really enjoy coming here, and have figured out a few tips and tricks along the way (we come here at least every two weeks). We always get menu B -A few things you should keep in mind: 1) If you do menu B or C you should make sure that you ask for the mesh / "other grill". This is pretty essential for the high quality meats. I think it's very worth it to get at least menu B, as that seems to have the most bang for the buck. For those nicer steak meats; we use exclusively just the salt and pepper seasoning and skip the oil/sweet coating. I like mine with the radish wraps and green onion salad like a small Korean taco. 2) We usually ask for Lataysia whenever we go in; as she gets our order right, makes helpful suggestions (got us to try a few new sides we normally wouldn't and other good recommendations). She is just on it and our grill never burns, and she's just always been kind to us. read more

O M G. O M G. This place is one of the best KBBQ restaurants I have ever enjoyed! Last time we were in this area we went to a different KBBQ and wow... night and day! This place was delicious! My favorites are brisket, spicy bulgogi, radish wraps, and pickled cucumbers anywhere I go! I loved how our clothes didn't smell like anything we ate when we left! My family and I arrived at 9:01pm. The initial employee who greeted us was kind and welcoming. She informed us that we had 30 minutes to order before lash call, which I understood due to them closing at 10pm. She walked away to scout our table I believe. A gentleman then came who worked there and told us in a different tone that we'd only have 15 minutes before last call. It had been a long day, so I was a bit more confrontational than I normally am. I asked should we leave or are we okay to stay and dine because just a matter before we were told 30 minutes. He then showed me his watch (I have my own lol) which honestly annoyed me. He then said oh yeah 15-30 minutes but finished by saying oh yes 30 minutes. I didn't like this interaction... Just came back from 2N1 Vista today (8/8). No complaints about the food at all; food was good. Meats were plentiful and delicious. Loved their sides options, which included really yummy green onion salad, soondubu, and fries. Radish wrap is usually my favorite side, but it was just so so here. I'm not knocking them for that though. Giving -1 star for having small tables.. my toddler in a high chair got oil splattered a few times, which has not happened at any other KBBQ restaurants (which of course have bigger tables). Giving another -1 star because they advertised on Instagram that today 8/8 there would be an all-day lunch pricing special. We did order only meats and sides available on the lunch menu, but when we inquired about it we were told that pricing was only available at lunch (we went at 5pm). We chose 2N1 for dinner tonight for this advertised special, but were disappointed it wasn't honored. It's not my top choice for KBBQ, but a good option in the area. Our favorite Korean barbecue spot, hands down. The cuts of meat are always high quality and perfectly prepared, and the service is consistently great. The lady who brings out the sides is so kind and attentive -- she truly makes you feel taken care of every visit. One thing I always notice (in a good way) is how clean their bathrooms are. We tried this new Korean barbecue spot in Vista Village and it was exceptionally good all around from the service who recommended some great items to try to The environment, design, and the meat where top grade. Also the lunch was 40 something dollars for two people which is like 30 to 40% less than any other Korean bbq spot. This is hands down the lowest value Korean barbecue that I've ever seen in any KBBQ restaurant across the United States. Meats like Galbi, Short Rib, etc. are only accessible in the premium A and B tier menus, then it's limited to one per customer. But it gets worse - it's not one order comprised of several slices of meat per customer, it's actually ONE PIECE per customer per type of premium meat. Comparatively, lots of other KBBQ restaurants in the San Diego area (Manna, M BBQ, Gen BBQ) do not gate their premium meats in that way, and certainly do not limit 1 piece per customer. Despite the limitation, the cost still on par or exceeds other KBBQ restaurants. We will not be going to another 2In1 KBBQ again, and will be disrecommending it to anyone we know that enjoys Korean barbecue. read more

This place is great. My wife found it on Instagram with a funny commercial that one of the managers put together. We got there early. Right after noon, which is the time it opens Monday through Thursday for their $20 deal on the selections are vast and believe it or not. We went there twice in one week. It's not often my wife has availability to go to an afternoon Monday through Thursday special so we took the opportunity to go twice. We have the Babimba and the green onion salad. The macaroni salad my wife loves the egg soup and the tofu soup. Everything was just wonderful and I can't believe we found this place in Vista. We are a recent transplant from Los Angeles and this place is now one of our favorites. I would also like to thank Kathya who is our server twice this week and everything was brought out so fast and there was always attention that was given to make sure we were happy. This is an amazing place. The food serving is fair. We literally came two days in a row. One for lunch time special for 24.99. And dinner time for 33.99. Both two hours limit. Honestly lunch and dinner is not much different. Kinda the same. For a family that is on a high protein diet this place is good. Especially for keto diet or calories deficit diet. I love how kids friendly this place was. They had French fries and chickens for the kiddos. And our server he was amazing with patience and understanding. Would come here often. The hostess greeted us right away, had us sign in on the monitor, and we were seated within a few short minutes--super smooth and easy. Our server, King, was fantastic! He was friendly, patient, and helped explain the menu and packages so we knew exactly what to order. We went with the non-marinated meats and a small portion of all the sides, which were fresh, flavorful, and a perfect balance with the BBQ. also ordered the watermelon soju cocktail, and it was amazing--refreshing, light, and the perfect complement to the meal.
