The store itself is very clean and well-organized, but it doesn't have a huge selection of used…read morebooks for my taste. It is also a little hard to shop here -- it's not always clear what is new and what is used. There were new-looking books in with clearly used books but not everything had a price on it so it was hard to know what I was finding. Otherwise, the sections were clearly labeled and the books were in almost perfect alphabetical order. I can see how this place can establish itself as a local hangout for bibliophiles, attending all the hosted book club meetings. It just isn't a place I will seek out to go shopping at again.

Upon entry the place was well lit and buzzing with excitement for the author who was doing a signing. I wasn't paying close attention and didn't realize what it was at first, but there was so much animated conversation that I assumed it was a book club that was really enjoying themselves. It made the recovery from the free book cart mess easy to recover from. The staff was all super friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to search for titles and authors I was looking for and were happy to add more books to my pile (*wink). The only downer was that the shelves had no obvious organization and it was hard to shop on your own. Nothing is labeled consistently and I couldn't tell where one section ended and another began. One section even had a pink sticky note with a hand-written label. The staff also didn't keep a proper inventory and half of books the computer said they had were no where to be found. Bottom line is that this place was welcoming and had good prices. They do not buy books but will offer in-store credit for books you no longer want. Check this place out.

I will NEVER use this company again, and would advise others to avoid them as well.

I don't have a lot of time to read these days, work, two kids, baseball, house, school projects, family time... I miss it but I wouldn't give up much of anything I am doing to read on my own. I do however listen to audio books a lot... but I digress. I like going into book stores and just looking at the books! I love reading I just don't have the spare time for it. Every once in a while I like to bring my kids to a book store and let them look, pick out a book they want, or two, and just spend time in the place. Book stores used to be my jam! I have dyslexia and could not read until later in life... but once I could I couldn't get enough. So book stores are a special place to me. There are not many left anymore... so you should stop in and visit one... you might find you like them too. There is just something special about being able to open a book and be transported to a different world! Although Barns and Noble is different then what it used to be... coffee shop, toy section, games, trinkets and such they still have lots of books! This location is well maintained, organized and I could spend hours in here. They have a very wide variety to choose from, kids books, SCARRY books, young adult books, fantasy, historical, etc etc... it is truly well worth the stop. Come to think of it... They have a few shop cats that are super cute and friendly. They do professional tarot and psychic readings here. They have multiple readers to choose from. They also have a lot of fun events. Look at their calendar to see what's coming up. I went to a tarot readers group years ago where we practiced reading for one another and that was a lot of fun!
