Helped me buy a driver and glove for golf. They had a nice selection and the fellow who assisted me was very knowledgeable.

Times have changed I get that but I remember going here when I was younger and you could find used gear for decent prices. Now it seems like the majority of the store is new gear for high prices and the used gear is almost as much as the new gear, so what's the point. Hopefully things will start to resemble the past in the coming years but I'm doubtful. Just my 2 cents. read more

I have been coming to second time around sports for about 4 years now. I have 4 kids who play hockey and anytime I need something I am in there. I have been in this place so many times they know who I am now! Saying that... every single time I come into this shop I'm always greeted and I'm always helped. The biggest help is when I'm looking for something in my cost range and can't seem to find it and every single time they find something (usually in the secret room in the back). Every person there is always willing to help and answer any questions I need! Even the embroiderer is top notch! She is just as awesome! So if your like me and have multiple kids in sports this is the place to go. I don't go anywhere else! read more

With two kids playing multiple sports, some of which you may have never played or coached, picking out the right sports equipment at the right price can be a daunting task. The big box stores might have selection, but they definitely lack for service and definitely more so in prices. 2nd Time Around Sports might be the best sporting goods purchasing experience I've ever had, and I've had LOT of them. The help we got while looking for a new lacrosse stick and cleats, a new baseball glove, helmet and cleats was phenomenal. With VERY knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, staff, big selection and spectacular prices, you really can't go wrong here whether you're looking for used sporting equipment or the brand new stuff. You'd be crazy not to stop here if you're looking for seasonal equipment for you or your kids. It's a no brainer. Try it and see. read more

This place is absolutely crazy! Supposed to be a consignment shop/second hand but the price's are higher then brand new equipment! There was one employee there that was helpful but the other employees behind the counter looked absolutely miserable and didn't greet me when I walked in. read more

Always the first stop for sporting goods - new or used. I have a teenager and a pair of 12 year olds. Very rarely do the second time guys NOT have what we need to outfit size up. Sometimes, my daughter has run the staff ragged with how picky she is. Last year, one of the guys spent a half hour in and out of the shed pulling out cross country skis for one of my boys who had ripped his tracks off. If you have growing kids, why wouldn't you shop somewhere that takes last years size on consignment and run you an account to pay it forward to next year's savings. Sometimes they don't take our old stuff. It's the nature of the business, throw it out if it's not safe to sell it to someone else. read more

We went in for a new lacrosse stick and CHAD helped us find the perfect stick and also walked my daughter though a restring of her old stick. Very informative and so helpful. Large selection with many brand choices. Couldn't have been nicer. read more

I went there to buy a ski boot bag.. The first guy was helpful at first.. When I got home I realized the bag would be too big to put in my carry on bag because I needed it for a ski trip to Vail. I returned it the next day..When I returned it, I was greeted by the same guy and he understood and was great, HOWEVER, then the owners son stepped up to the desk (all 4 feet of him) and proceeded to say this bag is dirty and has scuff marks in it.. Really? I just bought it and never Never used it..It still had all kinds of tags on it. And where did he think I possibly used it within a day. I explained that I never used it and he just stared at me with a blank face. Even the other kid said "Oh that was there they just brush out" I went back to look at other ones and noticed the other ones had scuff marks in it too. So I showed him and told him I was offended that he would insult me like that in front of a people in the store. He immediately got an attitude and was sooooo smug. Nobody ever helped me or anything.. I asked for the manager because he proceeded to be a cocky little entitled punk. He said I am the manager. I said no way are you the manager. First of all he has no social skills, personality or business mind. .My dad owns the place so I manage it.. Well now it all came into focus as to why this kid could possibly be a manager. Shame on his Dad for raising such a disrespectful punk.. . I have a son who works in Gorsuch in Vail, Co. And he has class.. I certainly do not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Very unpleasant experience. Recently heard multiple radio ads stating explicitly that they buy used sports equipment and apparel for resale/consignment. I was intrigued as I have a really nice snowboarding jacket and snow pants that I thought might be valuable to someone for a steep discount. I didn't want to waste the stores time or my own so I called on two separate occasions because I was suspicious and asked "do you buy used snowboarding jackets and pants?" And was told twice that they do although would need to see it in person before giving me a price, which I understood obviously. Both of these guys were nice but apparently either lying or had no idea what they were talking about. I finally pack up my stuff and head down there and bring in a small duffel with 2 good condition jackets and a pair of pants. While their were 3/4 employees standing at the desk no one gave any greeting and the one closest to me acted like I was a servant entering in the front door when I should have used the service entrance. Without saying anything he took the duffel from me and brought it behind the counter, which I thought was a little abrupt, and then proceeded to finish a sales conversation with another customer before addressing me at all. I stood there in a slightly shocked silence before he started pulling everything out and looking at it for a moment then piling it all up to the side. After looking at what I brought, he said "well... you could donate this stuff somewhere?" I was not trying to be rude but after being told they purchase apparel I wanted to do my best to sell what I brought so I mentioned that the pants were essentially unworn as they never fit me properly and he looked briefly before saying "you could wear them?" As though I may not have thought of this and let me know they might buy some if I could bring in used hockey equipment if I had any. I am not trying to make resale my new career, and am aware I can donate, I was just looking to make a few bucks and let someone else get decent gear for cheap. Overall thought it was handled very unprofessionally and am fairly certain this is a marketing scheme to get you to bring one used thing in and stay to purchase other equipment. It really did not bother me that he did not want to buy my stuff but it was insulting and a waste of my time to be told twice that they do buy the specific apparel I had and then be treated like an idiot for coming in the door. This place is fantastic. We were here for hockey equipment but great selection of snowboards, skiing equipment and anything else you need to play just about any other sports. We will be back for winter sports season! Steve and Matt were super helpful - they helped a novice hockey mom outfit three boys in hockey gear and helped me save money too! If I could put a zero star review, I would. I brought my Hockey equipment here for consignment... and I guess the pads in my helmet I brought them were starting to fall apart. Understandable that they couldn't sell it... but they THREW the helmet away. Rather than contact me multiple times by mail or phone or my wife's cell that was on the contact list... thrown away. I tried to go back and get my helmet a few weeks ago and got the news on how they threw it away. I asked if there's anything they can do to help and he said no... I explained to him that I had a separate work phone and I was in the army so my personal phone wasn't my primary contact. And to be honest he could've given 2 s**** anyway... they were rude about it. They should have contacted me in more ways than a single voicemail saying "we can't sell your equipment we can throw it away for if you want just call us back and let us know." I didn't notice the voicemail and they throw my piece of equipment away just like that. I do not recommend this place for consignment. If your stuff sits on he floor for too long they just throw it away. Not a customer based business and pretty much useless when they make a mistake. Staff is rude and ignorant as well and doesn't try to make your experience any better. Will be making a Better Business Bureau claim. They could have called more times, could have mailed my helmet to my house, or contacted my wife. Instead they had no effort in getting my property back to me. read more

This place is amazing! They have a wide selection of new and used sports for many different sports, like hockey, baseball, lacrosse, and many more. The people who work there are very helpful and know what they're talking about. It is also a very nice store, not to mention they have good prices. Definitely one of my go to stores. read more
