My trainer suggested I order some resistance bands so she could send me some homework between…read moresessions. This was the brand she pointed to, because she said they last pretty well (it's what she uses in her studio). I got them pretty quickly, in about 3 days. They were really cheap, too--about $2.50 each, so I bought a few. So that's all good. They really need to come up with another way to do shipping costs, though. The items I bought cost $10.50 total and the shipping--on items that are measured in ounces, not pounds--was $9.99. The heaviest thing by a long shot was the catalog that they sent; the items I purchased weighed almost nothing and the only reason they would have needed to be in a package as large as what they came in was because of the catalog. I know that shipping is the mailing but also the materials, but... yikes. I went ahead because I was placing my order at midnight and wasn't sure where I'd be able to go get them elsewhere in the next couple days, but next time I'd probably just take the time to visit Fitness Factory and pick stuff up.

But, everything is super expensive, because it is all the highest quality of outdoor gear. This is also a cooperative business, so you join for a one time fee, and once a year, you receive a profit, based on your yearly purchase. Love REI!

Still five stars. We came in looking for a number of things. Kind of a scouting mission. REI has…read moreplenty to offer for hiking, camping, biking, kayaking, and more. We are looking for, among other things, a smaller tent (ours is huge) that we can easily lug around with us and REI has a large selection. We signed up for their membership several years ago. Just tell them your phone number when making a purchase and you get credit for the purchase. We picked up a UV protective t-shirt as a gift for someone. It was reasonably priced imho, very soft and moisture wicking. Brilliant. I should probably get myself one too. BTW, the company no longer offers bags. None. So bring a reusable bag if you plan to shop here. It's just another way to reduce waste and be a good steward. Some of the prices can be high, but not everything. They sell Patagonia which is an expensive brand, as well as other, more moderately priced items. You just have to know what you want and what you are willing to pay. If you check out the bulletin board upstairs, they offer guided excursions that look really fun. I check out their selection of hiking poles as I am looking to buy some. Everything from really reasonable basic models to foldable, light weight pricey models. So you have options. They have pet items. Personal care items. Clothes and shoes are upstairs. So many types of water bottles. Camping items for both the thru-hiker and the car-camper. Check them out. They are a good resource and the staff are friendly and happy to assist.

So I had dumbells from 10- 100 lbs. and fixed barbells from 40- 110 pounds or so. First Mr. Roby tried to get me to wash them with some kind of cleaner. When this didn't work, he assured me it would dry out and stop smelling- waited a month or so, the entire basement smelled of this gas and he finally replaced the dumbbells. He hasn't replaced the fixed barbells and they are the only thing in the entire gym with over $20,000 in exercise equipment that give off this horrible odor. Mr. Roby has become completely unresponsive. I advised him 4 months ago that if these are not replaced I would post complaints on social media. Mr. Roby is charming fellow and gave me good prices- but delivered real garbage. Buyer Beware! This is just my first post of what will be many. I plan to post this on a different social media site every day until I get satisfaction.
