    Chips and salsa

Wife and I visited on a Saturday night- not super busy, and we were seated quickly. Waiter got our order quickly, and service was top notch. The food was good, but nothing out of the world. The salsa was probably one of my least liked salsas I've gotten at a Mexican restaurant- didn't have much flavor to it. The chips were cold- I always appreciate it when places throw the chips in the fryer before bringing them to your table. I got the street tacos. The carnitas were juicy, and were plentiful on the taco. The steak was well seasoned. The red salsa that comes with it had a nice kick to it and took the tacos up a notch. The rice was one of the better rices I've got from a place as well. My only other complaint was them sitting us in a booth right by the bathroom when there were plenty of other seats available, especially since it had a flickering light above us. I think I would return again- maybe even on a Tuesday night and get 99 cent tacos.

Food is great and service is even better. We didn't have to wait at all fast service. I order the polo fundido it was amazing my wife loved her quesadilla, she said even the lunch portion is more than enough. It's Inexpensive and casual and the resteraunts is clean and well decorated. It was a good, chill vibe. Margarita was yum.

A great addition to the neighborhood! The food was delicious and the staff were incredibly friendly. The decor felt updated, modern, and airy but still traditional. I had the Ely's Tacos which was a combination of steak tacos and chile rellenos tacos. Both were delicious and the portion sizes were generous. My mom is a picky eater and enjoyed her soft tacos. They have specials during the week including $1.29 tacos on Tuesdays (beef and chicken) and 50% off on Wednesdays for seniors. We will definitely be back!

This is the first time I have been here since their major renovation( I guess around April). It's much brighter now in there. Colors are toned down a bit, but it's very clean and fresh looking. Has the typical Mexican music playing during dinner but not too loud - the atmosphere is really nice and the building is very open compared to the way it used to be. One big room with a bar in the back and the checkout in the front. Our waiter was very nice, very friendly. It wasn't too busy yet so he was stopping by every few minutes to check on us. Food came out very hot and well-made. We started with the free chips and salsa. The salsa was really good not too spicy but did have a little bit of a kick to it. The chips were fresh. We got Arroz con Pollo and two tacos with a side of rice. Arroz was excellent, their cheese here is very good. The chicken had some spice to it and the rice was well cooked. We also got two tacos, it was taco Tuesday so they were only $.99 each! One chicken and one beef- they were very good with some added salsa on top, they were perfect. Tortillas, chicken or beef, lettuce, and cheese. But very good. The price was right both of us ate for under $20. Highly recommend and we will be back probably next Tuesday.

Very surprised to find good Mexican food in Indianapolis. Not as good as SoCal, but I'd certainly eat there again if I were in the area.

I got the Langostino Quesadilla that I loved! It was a really big quesadilla too. We ordered agua frescas tonight, but their bar menu is huge and I definitely want to be back for margaritas on their patio. This is prime location for patio season. All our service was very professional and fast. Bonus perk there is a free parking garage attached.... Makes going out to eat downtown way less stressful!

Overall a chill environment and ith a nice front patio/ sidewalk seating area. We enjoyed the chips n salsa varieties, surprisingly the darker salsa wasn't spicier just a different flavor. Orde re d the chicken burrito which was gigantic easily enough for 2 to share. Very well made fresh ingredients, covered in sauces and cheesy. And we all tried different margaritas, mine was a strawberry fruity take on a margarita, good and garnished nicely. Rated fresh and flavorful, not very strong and a bit pricey. Especially with some being $100+ for a drink was wild. Overall nice place, nice environment, wasn't busy and tasted good but is priced higher than most Mexican restaurants in the city.

I don't think you can really go wrong with the tacos, and the flights are a great deal that let you try things in a smaller portion (4 inch in the flight instead of 6 inch for a single taco) for a lower price point. I think my favorite was the Jackpot (jackfruit carnitas with BBQ sauce). Appreciated that they had veggie options! If you're gluten free, one thing to be aware of are the taco shells - for the epic tacos, the standard is a crispy corn shell inside of a soft flour shell. I got the Crabby Patty which had a "guacamole cushion," which I learned meant there was guac between the two shells. If no cushion is mentioned, it's just the two shells. IF you or a friend ask for gluten free, it's TWO layers of crispy corn shells. Lot of crisp. Corn fritters were also tasty. Everyone I came with was happy with their meals. :)

For my meal I ordered 3 tacos- the standout was absolutely the new brussel sprout taco. I have been thinking about that taco for a full week. The other 2 tacos (carnitas and a beef) were both good, but the sprout taco was so fresh and flavorful. I would definitely return!

Driving through…read morehere, you see the blight and the abandonment of this area of Indianapolis since the decline of manufacturing. Then again, it's not an uncommon story unfortunately- large parts of the city forgotten in terms of economic development but then suddenly needed during times of campaigning. Had taken Keystone and then Rural Street to get here, and the potholes are not kind. But, we had this place on our list and were determined to make it here at least once. Tlaolli stood out for its vegan offerings. Plenty of vegan taco options, birria (an absolute rarity to see vegan birria), and torta. They offer soy chorizo, jackfruit, and king oyster mushrooms as protein options. The exterior is colorful, and inside there are seating options. We had gotten our food to go, so I cannot comment too much on the service. Had placed our order online, and the food was ready within the estimated time in the order. We ordered the vegan birria tacos ($17.99), the vegan torta ($10.99 base but added soy chorizo, which was $3.99), and the no-no-no taco ($5.99). Our total with fees was approximately $45. Tlaolli offers outdoor seating, so when the weather is nicer this would be a good place to come. Next to the East Washington IPL branch, Tlaolli has a colorful green exterior with neon signage. Food: The food was very good. The proteins were nicely seasoned and juicy. The highlight for me was the birria tacos and the consome. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it. 10/10. This is a great local business in the area to support: offers a diverse menu of options with food that is comforting and tasty.

I had the chicken chipotle tacos since I remembered them being so good last time but I'm pretty sure you can't go wrong with anything on the menu.
