After dinner at The Dining Room at RH, we were looking for a place to go for a night cap. Specially a place within a mile or two that has a full bar. Naturally, I pulled up the Yelp app to search for something open nearby for recommendations. Turns out Delicia is one of my friend's boyfriend's favorite restaurant in Broad Ripple. They both frequent the restaurants in that area as they live in the neighborhood so that's definitely saying something and I can see why based on the vibe and atmosphere! We were only there for drinks (which were amazing) and they were definitely worth making another trip for. I ordered the "Pulparindo" which is slightly spicy tamarind vodka, fresh mango puree, raw sugar simple, lime juice and a yummy tajin rim. I would have had more of it wasn't last call when we placed our order. Another popular choice was the "FIRE 'N' Ice" made with el charro jalapeño infused reposado tequila, hibiscus I basil I habanero reduction, tres chiles infused ice ball. Beautiful presentation with all the drinks. Our waitress was great and attentive. I also really liked how I felt instantly in a better mood in that space and I will be going back again for dinner soon. read more

Absolutely wonderful place with great ambience, great staff and wonderful food!! We went to celebrate our daughter's birthday and had a memorable experience. Had the Caribbean tuna, carnitas, enchilada and fish tacos. All dishes were delicious, only thing we could have wished for is some more flavor in the fish tacos and maybe some sauce to go with them. The food is still stellar here. Innovative upscale Latino cuisine. Always spot on. And the portions are fairly generous and the prices remain reasonable. I am a huge fan of their guacamole. As soon as I cut into the empanada and heard the crust separate, I knew I was in for a treat. These empanadas might be the most delicious thing I ever put in my mouth. Holy moly. The crust was blessed by angels. The basque cheesecake gets an honorable mention. It does have a unique flavor that might not be for everyone but I found it delightful. I always love coming to Delicia. I like that there are new editions to the menu each month (seasonally), but you can always find some favorites that are menu staples too. I went for their Sunday brunch (9:30am-1:30pm). Wow! The chorizo hash (chorizo, potato, onion, over easy eggs, avocado, sweet plantain, queso fresco, spicy ecuadorian aji chile salsa) was excellent! The server was great; she was friendly and knowledgeable. The whole staff was nice and helpful. The layout of the restaurant is pretty cool too. I liked the layout of the bar. I removed a star though because I asked for hot sauce and they charged me! What?!?!? I've ordered food with hot sauce or sriracha sauce at restaurants all over town and I've never been charged for it. That's like charging someone for adding ketchup to a burger. So that got on my nerves, but other that, it was a great meal and experience. What a great spot in SoBro! Recently I visited Delicia with some girlfriends. I've been to the restaurant before, but it had been probably 10+ years! Everything was great. This was my first time at Delicia and wow I am obsessed! First I started out with a spicy mango cocktail. Then we ordered the brussel sprouts and the octopus. Both were quite good, but we joked that we wished that we each had a plate of the brussel sprouts for ourselves! Then I switched to the non-alcoholic Coco No-No which was absolutely delightful. I felt like I could have been dropped into a beach. I did not plan for the portion sizes to be as large as they were so by the time that our entrees came out, I was only able to eat a few bites. The fried chicken, makes you doubt that it is really gluten free because it looks and tastes that good! Our waitress was Liz and she did an exceptional job, especially as the restaurant was packed on a Saturday night. As someone who has a gluten allergy, I really appreciated how seriously that Liz and the kitchen staff took allergies and that Delicia's menu was marked up so well. I woke up and I do not have any symptoms of being glutened. I love finding safe places to eat at and I'm so glad that I have another one to add to my list! On a Saturday night the restaurant was louder to start around 7:45PM, but it got more quiet as the night progressed. Brunch at Delicia has been on our Indy to eat list for what feels like years and we finally had a babysitter (but there were kids and babies their so don't let that stop you) and made it! It was worth the wait! This is the most unique brunch I've had in Indy. It was so hard to decide what dishes to get. I love that some options have a half serving like the plantain waffle so that you can even try more. My husband loved his carnitas verde grit bowl. We had lots to take home because the appetizer of queso was HUGE. I loved the decor, our waitress was wonderful, and the food was so good that now we need to try the dinner menu. This is such a popular restaurant, and my first and second visit were both great. I came here for brunch. I recommend making a reservation on their website (they use Resy) because it gets busy here. I had a coffee and Spanish churro toast. The coffee was good and I liked how it was served in a glass tall mug. The toast was just okay. Mine did not have much cinnamon taste and didn't resemble churros in any way despite the name. But I still liked the tres de leche sauce. Our server was professional and attentive. My check was inaccurate but when I brought that to her attention, she quickly went back and fixed it for me. I'd love to come back here for dinner next time. read more

It was supposed to be "very" spicy but when we got it, it wasn't too spicy and it also seemed as if it was batched. Mostly because the server came back within 30 seconds and the drinks weren't too chilled. The cocktail has so much potential! It tasted good, just did not seem fresh and it wasn't really spicy. We decided to order a bottle of red wine - which we enjoyed! Food: We got the chips and queso with chorizo. Very good. Very cheesy! Chips were also pretty good, with the perfect amount of salt! For my entree I got the birria short ribs which were the star of the show. Would get it again! It came with adobo rice that was also pretty tasty. My waitress took the time to tell me a little about the restaurant, menu inspiration and was very attentive. Fantastic experience! The look and vibes are on point too. Maybe it's because I'd seen so many people post that this is one of the best places to eat in Indy and I'd hyped it up in my head but I was a little underwhelmed with my meal. The salsas - great! Especially the strawberry jalapeño. Super unique and the sweet cut through the spicy. I also had a mocktail, which was decent. For my main, I got the barbacoa tamal. After having tamales in Tucson, I have searched for something here that compares and was excited to see one made out of masa on the menu. But it didn't really hit for me. The masa was dry and kind of came off in chunks. The rice had a unique flavor but very small portion size compared to the tamal. I wish it had more heat to it and while the barbacoa was super tender and savory, I just wanted a kick to elevate it. Will I go back? I'm undecided. It's definitely pricier than most restaurants I frequent so that's kind of a barrier for me to trying multiple times. We loved our first time dining at Delicia! The vibe is great and service was excellent. Our waitress was knowledgeable about the menu and bar, and was super helpful and welcoming. We ordered the ceviche, smoked brisket polenta, coconut curried fish, and basque cheesecake. Honestly, everything was great. The brisket dish is one of the best plates I've ever had. My girlfriend and I went to Delicia in Broad Ripple for a date night the other week, and it has become a staple every time she comes in town! The quick drive over with lots of parking makes it a go-to date night spot for us when we are looking for an elevated experience with delicious food. We started with the Queso Fundido, which was fantastic. It came in a scorching hot skillet with melted cheese and goodness inside. It was a huge portion too, so we were able to take it home and have leftovers! I ordered the fish tacos, which were a first for me, but they were amazing and very filling! Coming with three large tacos plus rice and beans made the price extremely reasonable, and I was also able to take leftovers from my dish, as well. My girlfriend ordered her classic dish, the empanadas. Every time we have come, she never fails to order the empanadas, and they never disappoint! With the fluffy shell and flavorful filling, it is a fantastic dish, also coming with rice. We do not only come to Delicia for the food, but also for the excellent atmosphere and service. Our server was very welcoming, respectful, and kind to us, which we really appreciated. She was very patient and helped us determine portion sizes for specific drinks, as well as confirmation on Happy Hour special prices. Okay-- I decided to try Delicia again and so glad I did. I had the short rib burria dish and it was AMAZING. I loved the balance of the salty and creamy with the slight tang of the pickled tomatoes. The meat was super tender and flavorful. I would definitely go back for this dish. I rated 4 stars because the chairs in the dining area were awkwardly low sitting and the arms made it uncomfortable while the bench seating was very high, making it feel a little less comfortable and cozy. DELICIA BRUNCH - For the Win!!! (Again) I have been to Declicia for Brunch a few times now and WOW! They cease to amaze, every time, every dish is amazing! From plating/ presentation to flavor combination to the service -- it's all great! 10/10 would recommend and eat again! We started with the Ceviche for an appetizer which came with a healthy portion size for 2 and you could taste the freshness. The heat from the jalapenos were what really did it for us! I was torn between the Huevos Rancheros and the Al Pastor Eggs Benedict -- the waiter suggested the Al Pastor and she was correct -- that dish is amazing! They have an al pastor hollandaise that really seals the deal on this one, and using the leftover sauce to dip your potatoes into is the way to go! My friend opted for the Steak and Eggs which was equally amazing, however the Eggs Benedict took the cake for me! However -- the plantains that come with it, are ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! Parking lot was full on Saturday night- there are about ten spots in front, and a one lane small lot in the back that's difficult to maneuver when the place is busy. We ended up easily parking on the street nearby. Atmosphere is great in the restaurant. Dimly lit, clean and modern vibe. The bar area was cool, we sat in the dining area and the booth was comfy. Service was great. Helpful and attentive server, actually recommended the mahi and a few other things. I wish I could remember her name, maybe Robin, but she was great. Pretty decent food! I would say food wise it's about 8/10. I really liked my curry grouper. My friends ordered the fish tacos which she said was okay. The one dish that they did not like was the Mar y Tierra. They said the sauce was really bland and had no flavor. The queso was a bit chunky but flavorful. After enjoying brunch a few weeks ago, decided to return for a dinner service. We sat at the bar, which was exactly the atmosphere we were looking for. The food was once again on point! We ended up doing the guac to start and had the pupusa and chile relleno for main courses. Both of these dishes didn't disappoint. The only slight disappointment with the meal was in the bar program. We both orders cocktails off the menu and while the flavor profiles were pretty good, they were both outrageously sweet. The bartender did admit that they weren't the normal bartender and they were just covering the shift. However, all of their cocktails appeared to be batched out, so consistency shouldn't be much of an issue. The best cocktail of the night wasn't on the menu, I ordered a Caipirinha and it was absolutely perfect. I think a lot could be done here to really emphasize the Latin cocktails including agave spirits to pair up with the main food focus of the restaurant and this place would be an absolute gem! read more
