Be happy! 3 and Out was just that: happy! Everyone was kind and in a good mood - unlike the old Market Street Bar crowd. It was a great move to bring in an older crowd. 3.5 stars. Went there for MNF. It's a small space but we were able to get a seat at the bar. On a busy night there was literally one woman taking care of the entire place. That's insane and unfair. Like many bars in the area, it was out of essentials for basic drinks- ginger beer, bitters, and lemon. The soda in my friend's drink was flat and ruined the drink. My "egg rolls" were spring rolls from Trader Joe's but double the price for less rolls. My friend's lemon pepper wings were pretty small and didn't come with anything- not even carrots or celery. BUT the vibe was cool and chill. I would be willing to give it another try because the vibe was cool. But with no happy hour menu or drink menu, the food you have better hit! The drinks are strong (kind of overpriced), but at least they're not just high-priced juices. However, the service and food are a bit lacking. The server notified us that if the bar got packed, we'd have to order both drinks and food at the bar - No problem! The issue was that either ordering at the bar or the table, she kept forgetting the order. My friend and I ordered wings (BBQ and lemon pepper). It took about an hour to get our food, and the wings were cooked on the outside but veryyy close to raw on the inside. We really only ate the fries and didn't even want to try ordering again, or we'd have to wait another hour and pray the food was decent. There's street parking all around this neighborhood and a couple of smaller lots, but know that on a busy night... you will still have to drive around quite a bit to find a spot. However, I must express my dissatisfaction with the bartender's rudeness, particularly the female bartender wearing glasses. Upon entering the establishment, she informed us that we could not sit there due to this issue, which I had comprehended. However, the manner in which she communicated this was extremely rude. After five minutes of waiting, she failed to acknowledge us or provide us with any assistance. She didn't say I be with y'all a few minutes or didn't asked if we had wanted water. Certain bartenders here are dishonest and overcharge customers. Here's what happened: I visit this place frequently, as it's close to where I live. I like the atmosphere here, especially the outdoor patio. However, when my cousin and I visited two weeks ago, we were charged $20 for two shots (double shot for one of us) of Tito's vodka by one of the bartenders. I later asked another bartender outside about the price, but he didn't respond. Then, the bartender who had overcharged me stepped outside, and the second bartender asked him, "You charged her $20?" His response was a confused "What?". I said, "you charged me $20" The honest bartender said, "isn't it $12." The bartender then claimed, "Oh dang! I accidentally put it all in the register!" He quoted me $20 before pouring the shot. It was not a mistake! While I give 5 stars for the place and 5 stars for the older bartender with darker skin, I give a negative 100 stars to the lighter-skinned or Latino bartender for being dishonest. How many people has he done this to?! How many other bartenders do this!?!? This place really needs to post their prices (like the Nile). This kind of thing has never happened to me at the Nile. I can no longer recommend the place, and I warn people to be cautious about certain bartenders. I'm disappointed because I used to really like this place. I might consider coming back next year if they start posting their drink prices. I've frequently chosen this place over the Nile many times before. We watched the Chargers playoff game here. It felt like a hidden gem of a sports bar. Nothing especially glamorous about it - it was basically a line of tables on one side of a room, with a bunch of TVs and the bar on the other side of the room. But the vibes were right. It'd be easy enough to watch a sports game alone and in peace, or you could cross talk easily enough with the other tables. It seemed like a lot of regulars who know each other. A beer was $10, which was a bit steep but probably was priced for the playoffs. The bar staff was friendly; they weren't offering food that night but they went and checked for us.
