1010 Wine and Events was absolutely perfect! My husband and I visited for the first time last night, and it was the perfect spot for date night. I ordered "The Meaty Vegan" over a salad with a side of fries, and he got the New York strip steak. The food was incredibly flavorful and seasoned to perfection. Next time, I definitely want to try "Islands Collide" when it's back in stock! We were greeted right away for our 6:45 PM reservation, and I am so glad we booked ahead. The place filled up incredibly fast--before I even finished my second glass of wine, it was an absolute full house. The ambiance was top-tier, complete with a live DJ. Unbeknownst to us, it was R&B and Soul Music Bingo night, and the jam was jamming! The entire vibe was beautifully Black-owned and vibrant. Our server, Alexandria W., was incredibly professional, friendly, kind, knowledgeable, and proactive. Despite there being only two servers for an entirely packed house, you would never know it because they remained so cool, collected, and unfazed. Everyone was well taken care of, and the room was filled with great spirits. There were two large parties celebrating, and the energy was so welcoming it felt like we were a part of the fun even though we weren't. The entire establishment, including the restrooms, was pristine. We opted for valet, which was clutch since I was wearing heels. I even noticed a single woman get approached by a gentleman at the bar--this truly is a wonderful space for couples, groups, friends, and singles alike. We look forward to visiting again soon! Love LOVE 1010 I have consistently had a great experience here with friends! Parking is tricky, you have to park on the street or valet.... I ended up finding a spot on the street which is rare. They have a really extensive selection of Black owned wines and the food is always delicious. On my last visit I met a friend here for brunch and it was a vibe from the moment I walked in! We sat at the bar, there was a DJ and lots of dancing, eating and drinking! I decided to go with the bottomless mimosas... they have a variety of flavors and they keep them coming. Service was amazing, our bar tender was attentive and also added to the party atmosphere. Brunch review only: I was sad to have not enjoyed this place for brunch and did not want to leave a review. Needs flavor, not salt, just flavor. To sum up our visit, the food didn't have any wow factor at all. Chicken texture is nice and crispy but no seasoning penetrates the actual inside. Waffle, same thing -- fluffy perfection, missing a buttermilk, vanilla or important flavor component. We tried a wine flight -- so so. Most of them were very sweet. Reluctantly (and both excitedly) ordered a dozen oysters -- ate two of twelve. We paid for them but they weren't fresh and they were huge. We could both smell and taste them. House-made biscuits needed a buttermilk taste added and jelly tasted like your everyday Market's Best/Welch's strawberry jam. The restaurant was clean with an open layout concept. They have TV's in case you want to catch a game. No matter where you sit, you will be able to see the TV, however bad seating is best. They have a cute wall for photo op as well. We came during happy hour which is a plus, and we ordered salmon bites with fries, lemon pepper wings, grilled oysters, beef skewers and artichoke dip. Everything was delicious with the grilled oysters being my favorite followed by the lemon pepper wings. They have a good selections of wine and if you like sweet red I highly recommend 7 daughters (yum). Street parking can be tough but they do offer valet parking for $15. I made an online reservation here for 9 people for my celebratory graduation brunch. There is a $25 per person feee upon booking for that many people which is fine, as that money goes towards your total bill. They had a valet and street parking but don't bet on street parking as it's located on a pretty busy street. The interior of the establishment is nice and clean, there was a Dj and the whole vibe of the establishment is nice and has a family feel. Tried 1010 Wine for the first time and I'd definitely be back. I came down from Riverside to support my friend while she DJ's the Mardi Gras event going on today. My first impression of 1010 Wine is that it is extremely clean, chic, and great for gsthetings/celebrations. Thank you to the hostess for being so warm and welcoming! The food was amazing. My friends and I had the taco Tuesday special, jerk tacos. They were soooo good(kudos to the Chef). We also had the Mardi Gras Mule, strong and delicious. OK, so firstly, I would like to say that when you walk into the restaurant it's very unassuming from the outside and when you get inside, it's like a hidden gem. The ambience, the DJ with the saxophone playing the sounds of laughter and conversation is what automatically makes you feel joyful. The decor is upscale, but not snooty and it's intimate but not cramped, overall, it's a really fabulous way to spend an evening, So my girlfriends took me there for my birthday dinner and we were all impressed by our server whose name is Craig who was so lovely and so professional he wasn't pushy and was very informative about the menu and what our options were and went above and beyond to even bring me a bottle of wine by John Legend, which was quite delicious. I had the shrimp and grits, which was crazy good and I took the wine flight, which was four South African wines and there wasn't a bad one in the group. They were all delicious. Overall I had a a good experience the two times I came here. For starters, the place is difficult to find. It is a non-distinct black building with no signage. If you're lucky you'll see the valet sign. Even when the 1010 numbers are lit at night, they don't stand out well. There is limited street parking, especially the later in the evening it gets. The space inside is really nice with classy decor and a bar with TVs. There are wine flights, small bites and a selection of upscale comfort available to order. Everything we had was pretty good and the service was friendly. This is a great pre-show option if you're going to YouTube Theater, SoFi or The Forum as they aren't that far. While waiting for the rest of the group to arrive, I sat at the bar to explore the menu. We thought this odd for a Saturday night but apparently the restaurant closes at 10:30pm and we were unaware. Our waiter gave selective information to certain people. She made mention to a few in our group that they were able to sample wine, but it wasn't disclosed to the whole table. When getting our waiters attention it was like we were bothering her. The host was a young lady, white T and camouflage pants, her whole vibe and aura was mean girl. She sat people at our table who actually weren't with us, so when the remainder of our actual party came we didn't have enough space. The host claimed she could not reseat them because other tables were also reserved. After ordering I waited over 30mins for my tacos. Had to ask about them because I noticed a table seated after us had received food before us. The tacos carne asada tacos were actually amazing, literal flavor explosion. My friends got oysters and wine, they all indulged. Food/drinks were on point. The place is really nice, the restroom was really clean, loved that. but I wasn't feeling the vibe, nor were my friends. I became over stimulated and left after eating. I like how you could pay via QR Code because waiting on the waiter to return took too long. 1010 is one of my favorite black owned businesses in LA thus far. I've been here a plethora of times but most often for brunch. Every single time I step foot in this establishment I feel like family, I'm greeted with kindness from the moment I step in the door to the moment I sit down (this experience hasn't changed from my first visit) Brunch - the shrimp & grits and the biscuit are 10s across the board. If you can order the biscuit...order it. Their chicken and waffles are really good too, very big portions so you'll definitely leave full. The chicken is super crispy and seasoned quite well. (You can also order these as a side if waffles are too much) if you like spicy, the spicy chicken biscuit is pretty good, get a side of potatoes and you won't be disappointed. If you're a bottomless person, I'd say the bottomless here is reasonably priced, but so are the singular drinks. On brunch days, they typically have a dj or live saxophonist that plays about 2 hrs into the brunch time and it can get quite loud. On a regular day they have various promotions throughout the week such a 1/2 price off bottle wine, happy hour all day, live music etc. The hospitality crew is pretty knowledgeable about wine as well and all of the wines there are black owned. I've only been for the happy hour day but looking forward to seeing what the weekdays have to offer. I will always recommend this spot and hope it remains a pillar in the community! read more

It's also great to sit at the bar where they have a mirrored wall and taste different wine options. The service was great. They got an order noted mixed up and fixed it immediately. The owner, Leslie, was as sweet as can be and explained the notes in every wine we were tasting and why they were paired with each dish. My only issues were that the Snapper filet would usually be assumed to be boneless, and it wasn't; I almost choked, and it was painful. The 2nd is that street parking isn't the easiest around there. They have valet, but obviously, you have to pay valet rates to park. That might not be convenient for everyone. Overall, we had a good time and enjoyed the evening and the wine very much! read more

I've been here so many times! I recently went on Juneteenth and just knew I was going to get some delicious salmon bites and those fantastic French fries. Unfortunately, I was met with a new menu, which did not feature my beloved salmon bites instead, I was met with freakin oysters, whole fish and greens with sugar in them! Our party was informed that they have a new head chef and the new menu has been curated to better pair with the wine offerings... Ummm just no. I think this is an instance of not knowing your audience. This wine bar/restaurant is in the heart of Inglewood...mostly Black professionals frequent this establishment. The last thing I want when I pull up with my squad is freaking half oysters on the shell I can find that at other bougie places around LA! This new menu is a mistake in my opinion. I ended up sharing the whole fish, the greens and some fries. The whole fish was a 7 out of 10. There was nothing special about it and it needed more flavor either on the batter or on the fish. The fries were an 8 out of 10. But I like the previous fries better, which were a 10! The greens were a strong 2 out of 10. I don't know where or why people put sugar in greens, but it's a hard no for me. The reason I'm giving 2 instead of 0 is because I liked the onions in the greens. Since it was Juneteenth, it was lit and the vibes were there, per usual. We all got to witness Kendrick Lamar perform They Not Like Us and then run it back four more times! Savage! The menu is constantly evolving and I can truly say everything I have had has been amazing. This time I tried the Haitian espagheti and the spinach dip and it didn't disappoint. I was hesitant to try the Haitian espagheti but I can now put that into one of my top items there, so flavorful. The service is amazing the owners which are sisters come around to the various tables for check ins and it's appreciated.
