I'm honestly really disappointed with the environment at this place. I'm from the UK, so maybe expectations are a bit different, but I found it really unprofessional. It seems pretty common here for coworkers to date, which on its own isn't necessarily an issue, but the level of PDA happening during shifts was uncomfortable and inappropriate. As a customer, you expect staff to be focused and professional, not acting like they're on a date while working. It made the whole atmosphere feel awkward and kind of unwelcoming. The location is very cute but not good if you drove there as it's only paid for street parking. The drinks were decent but pricier than you would expect for what seems like a cheapy Mexican joint. The chips, salsa and guacamole were surprisingly good however none of them tasted spicy which was funny to us since one of them is labeled as hotter. Service was not great as they didn't often check on us, and it was windy enough that the outdoor umbrellas fell down onto me multiple times, luckily I caught it or it would've really hurt or fell on our table and there quite heavy. I was pleasantly surprise to see they had a breakfast menu that was INSANELY good!! They had breakfast burrito to chilaquiles!! I opted for the chilaquiles of course. Cabo's can get very loud. When it is packed and it gets very crowded on the weekends, it is very loud, from the music to the people. But go there anyway, it is fun and who cares if you can't hear yourself think. Parking is a bear, but there is a lot at the end of the street near the beach and you can park there for a fee. I think you have to be 21 to enter, which I find confusing because they have a menu of quite a lot of food. Maybe they just don't want to harsh the mellow of the people there, many getting drunk, but not bothersome. Everyone is nice and if not there is a bouncer to tell you to mind your manners or get out. He is large. The bar is cute, a decent size and clean. There is a bar area and places to sit. It is super fun and the drinks are great. They have a large selection of beer and their margaritas are strong and good. Don't even think of getting in your car if you are over the limit, not only is it a horrid thing to do, there are police, lots of police in this area just waiting to help you to a cell. The bartender will get you a cab or Uber is a call/text away. The location is great, walking distance to the beach and a great area to walk. I found a screen that seemed to be where you would order food. A employee or bartender (white, bald, blue Hawaiian shirt) rudely told me "Hey what are you doing!" "That's for employees only". I wouldn't have minded him telling me that at all if it had been said more nicely and not in such a rude tone. Thereafter we asked where we could order food, and another employee told us to sit down. Let me start off with saying I haven't been to Cantina for almost 7 years. It was a beautiful day and I was in the mood for carne asada fries. My friend who just moved nearby, said the best ones are here. I remember the food being good, but I definitely should start coming back here more often because it was great! Right when we came in, we were greeted by Isabel, she has a great smile and answered all of our questions. She was able to explain things easily, and escorted us to the outside dining area, since it was a beautiful day. It can get a little loud near the bar, but we were able to communicate our order fairly well before we sat outside I got the steak fries and I took some home because I it was a huge amount. To me, you can share this between 2-3 people unless you are really really hungry. The only thing that I wish was better was that I had melted cheese, it comes with queso cheese, which is good, but only if it's in addition to melted cheese. Next time I'll ask to substitute, more of a preference thing. Other than that the steak was super tender, the guacamole fresh, the Fresca was a great addition and the pico gave it a great bite. My friend got the nachos and let me tell you I will be back for these! It comes with a melted cheese and your regular loaded toppings. I loved how every bite I had included a little bit of every topping. Literally, and I love that these come with jalapeños. I don't remember jalapeños on my steak fries, but jalapeños are always a great addition. My friend got a JAM-o-Rita, which is a Jamison/margarita. They are not stingy on the alcohol here and they offer you a salt rim. The drink is worth the price trust me. The General Manager Josh is super into making the customer happy. He also greeted us when we came in with some waters. He has a personable attitude and asked us to tell us how we liked it there. I like that as he is clearly open to feedback in improving whatever he can to the already known establishment. That's huge! Went there with some buddies and even though it was empty, It took 20 min before we got a server. Come to think about it, it was full of mostly dude servers who all appeared unhappy and acted like they did not want to be there either. The food was sub par, the drinks were watered down and the parking was expensive. Just depressing energy from the staff and would not recommend. read more

First of all, I stopped by Cabo Cantina like I usually do on the weekend. At first everything was fine until I seen what looked to be the manager yelling at women calling them a bitch. The bartenders are pretty slow, which isn't unusual but I noticed him yelling at women, in which I tried to understand what was going on. When I approached him not only did he scream at me too, but his breathe reaked of alcohol. I've been coming to Cabo (both locations on 3rd St. and Washington and never had any problems) for years now. After he yelled at the woman calling her a bitch he continued to do the same to me which was highly inappropriate and made me feel for the first time, unsafe. It's getting to the point of me filing a police report. The fact that this is normalized, the mistreatment of women, is wholeheartedly not okay. And the fact this type of person could get a job as a manager, is clearly under the influence(s), and has anger, behavior, or mental issues needs to be addressed and looked into. Not only that but there was several minors I seen that night, (I know them from Highschool) and the fact you can call women "bitches" yet allow minors to consume alcohol shows clearly that priorities are not being taken seriously. I'd love to speak to the owner of this establishment, a conversation with someone competent would be great. read more

My dear friend Kayleigh, we go way back to being baby models shooting Apple iPhone commercials a decade ago. I've been grieving and she being the kind human, she is decided to bring me a bouquet of flowers, take me out to dinner and bring her sweet pups. What more can a girl ask for? As you guessed she decided on Cabo cantina for dinner. We sat inside, in a lil booth which was incredibly cozy but still has open air. Her pups were allowed and being in the corner gave us space bc we brought the whole tribe. I ordered a vege quesadilla since i don't have much of an appetite these days. She preferred tacos. Both were delicious and they brought us chips on the house. They treated the pups wonderfully and we were able to Apple Pay. Commercials and games were playing on TV, vibes like a kinda sportsbar/great Mexican/more formal dinning experience. A cool, chill atmosphere.
